WARNING ABOUT MCARBO SUB 2000
WARNING! First, the MCARBO Sub 2000 limited edition is not for left handers. I watched the entire video by the President of MCARBO. He never mentioned the mag release sticks out too far for proper left hand operation. The video was a good sell so I ordered the gun online at about 7pm est. at which time MCARBO was closed. Being excited about my purchase I then looked up each MCARBO custom part which comes installed on the gun. I discovered several reviewers had left negative reviews about the MCARBO mag catch left hand incompatibility. About an hour later I sent an email to MCARBO cancelling the order. Since they were closed I called them at 9am sharp the following morning
just to make sure the order got cancelled before the 24 hour requirement. A customer service rep, I think Jacob, told me there would be a 10% restocking fee which equaled $79.50. I ask him why a restocking fee for an item which was never taken out of stock? After calling me "brother" several times ,you know that MCARBO "brotherhood" BS, I used several expletives and telling him my real brother never raped me in the popo like MCARBO did he hung up on me. $79.50 and MCARBO never lifted a finger. ADVICE, skip "The Brotherhood" and buy a S&W FPC rifle on Gunbroker or BUDS for $200 less than the so called upgraded MCARBO KEL TEC. The S&W FPC is much better design and quality in it's factory configuration. Guess I should be grateful to my "brother" for causing me to end up with a much better rifle and saving me over $120 even after MCARBO ROBBED me of $79.50. Secondly, i had asked the rep for President Chis to call me before this review but he never called. PS: not that it matters as Chris thinks but i was an officer in The 3rd ACR back when soldiers didn't have a nervous breakdown over curse words.
Was it worth it
Short answer…. yes. My Dad is 90. He was a long gun shooter (skeet hunting etc) which is not my thing. I wanted a gun I could take to the range that he could shoot while I was pistol shooting (and so we could share ammo). He loved it!!! Soft shooting, accurate, easy to rack.
The additions to the platform made a huge difference to feel and usability for both myself and my Dad. It shares ammo and mags with my primary which makes it a nice addition to SHTF pack. The addition of metal parts makes me trust the weapon more. I have put over 1000 rounds through this in just a couple weeks with 0 feed issues. It eats everything. It does get warm after a couple hundred rounds. Trigger is light and tactile. Sights are right on. Red dot is nice but if you are an iron shooter you will have no accuracy issues with this. Fit and finish was excellent.
It is lite, accurate, folds small and is fun to shoot. For me it was well worth it. It is not an AR replacement but I will use it as a home defense gun. As always MCARBO delivered a quality product. Best of all I get to hang out with my Dad at the range!
The greatness of MCARBO
I have a cmmg banshee 9mm 5inch barrel and a Daniel Defense Carbine that I just sold, the MCARBO Version of the keltech sub2000 takes are just as as good as those two carbines to me, with a 16inch barrel maybe a little better. I've not had one failure to feed, or issue with my Mcarbo Sub2000 and I've had it over a year with at least 4500 rds thru it. If you want a serious self defense weapon invest in the MCARBO Sub2000 series. The base model keltech is ok, but it's a plinker, Mcarbo makes this gun a competition carbine, and again a serious self defense weapon that you could go to battle with if need be.

M*CARBO upgrade package including polishing for Kel-Tec Sub 2000M series 2
I'm only recently getting into shooting and such and this seemed like the right initial choice to make to move up from a 9mm pistol. I've only been out once but the carbine itself is just as advertised. I found it fit me well and with blended lenses/glasses, it allowed me to position myself to better sight the targets. The optic mound is great but I haven't shot it enough to know about the optic staying sighted but once locked in the firing position, it appears to be a solid attachment. All the other M*CARBO upgrades just made the unit that much more attractive and functional for a novice.
Not the same gun
I have borrowed a stock Sub2k many times at the range and after getting my M Series I can say that it is nowhere close to the same gun. The three things that stood out to me are....less recoil, WAY better trigger, & better rear sight. I am stacking dimes with this thing! Supporting the company also was important because of the Veterans working there. Thanks M*CARBO!
Rock solid PCC
I bought the fully upgraded version in G17. Had it driving nails at 100 yards with cheap ammo, having chosen the notch sight option, I'm thinking I would have preferred the peep sight, but with the optic mount, the SIG Romeo5 works great so iron sights aren't that big a deal. Shoots well with both, easy to flip the Romeo out of the way if you want to go iron. I was having a situation where there was some gas discharging through the trigger assembly and blackening my finger and thumb. I'm assuming because of the breakdown seams. Not a huge issue if you clean it good. Ran 600 rounds of Magtech brass through it right out of the box with only 2 jams. (Probably due to the cheap ammo. No misfires. ProMag makes a 32 round clip that ran great. Overall, a ton of fun to shoot and had everyone wanting a turn. Very solid for a backpack gun, just be careful of knocking the sight against anything, it does stick out a bit when folded. I'm very happy with it so far. Love the flat trigger and the extended mag release. The little things make it. Thanks guys for making a solid product
Works well
It's working well so far, and fun to shoot. Never tried a stock Sub2000, but was interested in getting one. Glad I stumbled upon this upgraded version. I likely would have done some, if not all, of the upgrades if I got a stock model anyway. I like the trigger and peace of mind knowing some parts have been replaced with more durable ones (especially the feed ramp). I did order a notch sight for mine, but instead it came with a peep sight. But I think I might actually like the peep better. I thought the peep hole was going to be too small and make sight acquisition slower, but it's actually very comfortably sized and I can pull up the sights very quickly so I'll keep it as is. Did have one light strike at the range out of a few hundred rounds, but it could have been the cheap target ammo. I'm happy with it, and someone at the range even asked about it. Just wish there were other colors.
So far so good.
Just received my Sub 2kM and ran a few hundred rounds through it. Took it straight to the range, pulled it out of the box, grabbed some loaded magazines out of my Glock pouch and started shooting. No hiccups with its operation but my head requires some contortion to use the flip up sights. Problem should be fixed with the flip up optic mount and my Holosun. Otherwise M*Carbos improvements seem to work well with the weapon. I’ve never used a factory Sub 2k so I can’t speak to the differences but this particular gun shoots well and pleasantly. A load of fun and I foresee lots of use as it’s going to be my Gator gun (as in John Deere Gator).
How does the recent ATF for short barreled rifles affect the Kel Tek 2000? Is the Kel Tek2000 legal under this ruling change?
The sub 2K is a standard rifle. It is of rifle length, with a rifle length barrel, and a stock. So its not affected.
Can I have my firearm shipped to any licensed dealer for pick up?
Any FFL can receive firearms for transfers, but not all dealers allow it in their business SOP's. Call the dealer you are considering to ask if they accept transfers and the fees that are associated.

Yes, when you go to add the firearm to your cart, there are some drop downs you have to choose from before going forward, as for the shell deflector, you can add that to your cart before checking out.

A few questions:
How many magazines and what capacity come with each configuration?
Does the multi-mag come with a magazine?
Can you ship to a state with a high capacity ban if you ship without the magazine?
it comes with one magazine, yes all different type comes with a magazine , and yes we can ship to most state no matter the magazine capacity, we will accommodate the right size of the magazine.
I want to order Sub2000 M and want to add the grip tape and stock pad installed as on your video upgrades, you current drop down menu does not have these options. Let me know please. Thanks Keith Barkow
You can send us an email to HELP@MCARBO.COm and we be able to add anything extra
hi ! can you send the weapon to france ?
And if I want the optic on the left, which option do I choose ? I'm not sure to understand. Thanks.
Sadly, do to the export laws, we can not at this time.
Do you take trades toward the purchase? I have sub-tech 2000 gen 1.
Thanks
Currently we do not take trade ins or buy used firearms.
Will this be a limited production?
At this time we are STILL teamed up with Kel-Tec and continuing production!!
Are the sub-2000 available in any of the other colors offered by Kel-Tec or just black?
EWeb January 25, 2022 6:48 PM
M-Series are only available in black

If I order the Multi-Mag version, what type of mag is included?
Is there a choice?
Hello Brandon, Kel-Tec sends all Multi-Mag S2Ks over with (1) 17 round S&W M&P magazine, however, if you live in a restricted state, you will then receive (1) 10 round S&W M&P mag . Unfortunately, there are no other options at this time.

Does the m series come with a magazine?
If you get Multi-mag configuration, is it an M&P mag?

Unfortunately, there are no other options at this time. If you opt for the Glock version, the G17 comes with a 17 round and the G19 comes with a 15 round mag, unless you live in a restricted state, you will then receive a 10 round glock magazine.

How can someone order this M series with cash and not with CC?
September 6, 2021 5:39 PM
Hey, Brother.
We can always accept a check or money order, we just hold the firearm until the payment completely clears.
I would like your Sub-2000 with all available mods
I wondered if you had the same setup with the other Kel-tec models, particularly the cmr30 and the pmr 30? If not, how do you purchase and have all upgrades installed? Thanks!
Hello, unfortunately, the Sub 2000 is currently the only firearm we have permission to sell with our upgraded parts pre-installed. You are welcome to send your PMR-30 and/or CMR-30 to us so we can have one of our gunsmiths complete the installation. The cost of the installation is $150 per firearm with a return shipping cost of $45, local pick-ups are welcome. The installation service can be purchased from our Installations Tab. Please note, not all of the products contained in the All in One bundle for the PMR-30 are compatible with the CMR, however, the following parts are and can be purchased individually: Textured Grips
Flat Trigger Upgrade
Safety Selector Kit
EMR
Mod 2 Feed Ramp
Speed Loader
Are or will other colors available, like tan for instance?
Good Morning Brother, at the moment the only color we have and plan on having for now is black. If that ever changes we will be sure to send out a message!
I'm a lefthander; does the extended mag release cause problems for lefthanders?
Hi Ron! The extended magazine release could be problematic for lefthanders to be completely honest. At this time, the Sub 2000 is not ambidextrous.
So the modified Sub 2000 to a M-Series costs $794.95
right? So if I want to include the Extra Operator Package
too, what would the total be?
Hi Steve! The Operator Add On is an additional $265. Once you select the configurations from the drop-down menu with everything you want, it will auto-populate an updated price for you!
Can I save a little money by not getting any engraving in the M-Carbo install?
Hi Patrick!
That is a good question! All of our M*Series comes standard with laser engraving and is not a removable/discountable option.
