Description

KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Muzzle Brake:

The M*CARBO KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Muzzle Brake offers maximum recoil reduction and compensation but may be too long for some (adds approx. 1" to overall length of the firearm after subtracting the length of threads). Great for Competition or Home Defense use.

KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Muzzle Brake Height Graphic

Tools Needed: Standard AR-15 Armorers Tool or 3/4" Wrench to Install.

**Add 1 or 2 layers of masking tape if you want to protect the brake from scratches.**

Standard AR-15 Armorer's Tool and 3/4" Wrench

**Attention!**

We've officially changed over to the New Crush Washer Style Muzzle Brake for the KEL-TEC SUB-2000. No longer do we offer the Jam Nut Version for the 9mm Muzzle Brake. The Jam Nut Version didn't require using a vise and the New Crush Washer Style requires you to use a Vise and Vise Jaws. Nothing changed in terms of the Muzzle Brake Size or Style for Function, just the way it's installed on the barrel.

We made this move to ensure you don't get any exposed threads on the barrel after timing the muzzle brake which could happen with the older style Jam Nut version. Although the older Jam Nut version didn't require special tools or a vise this new version will ensure you get the tightest possible lock up and will not require you to use Rocksett as previously required with the Jam Nut Version.

SUB-2000 Barrel Jaws Available Here!

**WARNING!**

Do Not Install a Crush Washer Style Muzzle Brake onto your KEL TEC SUB-2000 without this set of Barrel Jaws or you will need to send back to KEL-TEC for repair of part number 102 (which is the Plastic Hinge that houses the barrel). Improperly installing a Crush Washer Style Muzzle Brake could allow the barrel to twist and snap the Plastic Hinge which houses the barrel.

DO NOT OVER-TIGHTEN MUZZLE BRAKE - WILL SNAP THREADS OFF OF BARREL!

9mm Muzzle Brakes: Come with a Crush Washer and we highly recommend getting the SUB-2000 Barrel Jaws for compressing the SUB-2000 Barrel in your Vise. A Vise is required with the 9mm Muzzle Brake Installation.

Precision CNC Machined KEL TEC SUB 2000 Gen 2 Muzzle Brake to allow your Carbine to Shoot Flatter under Rapid Fire. Works for all 9mm on any pistol or rifle barrel and especially designed as the Official KEL TEC SUB 2000 Muzzle Brake. KEL TEC SUB 2000 Muzzle Brake Reduces Felt Recoil like a Muzzle Brake and Reduces Muzzle flip like a Muzzle Compensator.

  • 9mm Muzzle Brake works for any 9mm barrel with 1/2"-28 threads
  • Use a standard AR-15 Armorers Tool or 3/4" Wrench to Install. Use 1 or 2 layers of masking tape if you want to protect the brake from scratches.

We took the best of both worlds and made our Custom Machined Precision KEL TEC SUB 2000 Muzzle Brake to reduce felt recoil and eliminate muzzle rise to allow more stable, accurate and controllable rapid fire!

9 mm Muzzle Brake - Well Made & Easy to Install
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
The product is well made and Chris's installation video is great. The brake went on just as described. HOWEVER, I did have problem with the factory front sight moving. I checked to make sure the sight was tight before I started, as recommended in the video. But when I got to tightening the muzzle brake to time it into the correct position, the friction between the crush washer and the jam nut for the front sight was so great that as I turned the wrench on the brake, the jam nut on the sight and the sight started to move. I guess the front sight wasn't as tight as I thought. Easy fix, thought. I loosened everything, got the front sight squared up, tightened the jam nut and then left a backup wrench on the jam nut to keep it from moving while tightening and timing the muzzle break. The front sight still moved a little bit but I tapped it back into position with a rubber mallet. Now everything is tight and lined up. Easy, peasy. Also, the aluminum vise jaws worked as advertised. I had to tighten the crap out of my vise but the aluminum jaws held the barrel without a hint of movement. No scratches anywhere during the process.

Hello, the two-jaw system will not grip onto the barrel no matter how tight I clamp down with my vise, and I tried masking tape the whole bit. Actually, I cracked my vise and had to order a new one. In doing so I can't continue until it arrives. I do not like this system. Also, I'm unable time it just because it just so hard to turn the muzzle brake utilizing your jaw locking system. So, the saga will continue when I get the new vise delivered.

Perfect upgrade

These carbines don't have much recoil to begin with but this mini brake makes it even softer. They're just so much fun. It just became my daughter's(11yr) favorite range toy. MCARBO always has the perfect upgrades!

T2000 muzzle brake is the only modification I made to the T2000, 9mm. Easy installation and the quality of the muzzle brake just enhance the very well made firearm. By the way, the price and customer service can't beat it. Thank you to my brother's from Mcarbo!!
Muzzle brake is good, but the supplied barrel jaw sucks

Great addition. Last modification to my Sub 2000 that I have planned.
I watched the installation video but I only have woodworking vices. Not strong enough by a long shot. I stopped immediately when I saw the woodworking vice wasn’t going to work. Went to my neighbor’s house and used his metal vice (like the one Chris tells us to use) and it was super easy and fast. You HAVE to use a metal shop/bench vice.
