I think this was not well thought out
I'm not sure I will spend the money to send this back but I will not be installing it on my Sub2000. It causes many limitations for the full use of the gun. It may have been better to design a complete remake of the stock rather than this "pad". You can only use in the longest position, you can't fold the gun to snap. It's flat but not a pad. I am a product and process engineer so I think I will design my own and print it on my 3D resin printer in two different new Loctite resins so I can print the hard part that is designed to have a soft section that snaps in. I intend on creating clearances for all the Sub2000 functions. The current pad was trying to use what existed and I get that. Sometimes however, you need to just start over. The Keltec is a very nice carbine but the stock stinks... When I get the new one designed, I'll post a picture.
Disappointed.
Was looking for easy upgrades for my kel tec that I could do myself because I’m no gunsmith and I should not have purchased this product. No where in the description does it include the fact that you need to drill holes in your gun in order to use this so you guys should really update that because I just wasted $30.
Not practical at all
First you need to drill holes in your buttstock ruining your gun. Second, once the stock is mounted it will block the hole for your spring and bolt in the rear of your stock to disassemble your new weapon. You would need to have a drill on you if you wish to clean it lot take it apart. Not great at all
KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Buttstock Pad
Real nice makes gun fit better I'm a big guy it helps alot template would make easy but I clamp mine together just take your time drilling
wkderby
If you had included a paper template to position the drill holes perfectly that would have improved my result. I'm about .050 to .063 off on the bottom of the buttstock and my over extension of the drill bit through the drill hole has nicked up my new plastic buttstock.
Easy to install
Was apprehensive in drilling into the factory butt stock, but the installation video was the key to move forward. Here is a helpful hint. Instead of using a sharp pointed object to make an indentation into the hard plastic, I used a small punch dipped in bright nail polish to mark the center of the four holes. This avoided trying to hold the butt pad while pushing hard to make a mark and perhaps misalign the holes. Made 4 dotes - drilled and alignment with pad was perfect ! the pad feels great against the shoulder. Great upgrade!
Butt stock pad
Follow directions and it fits perfect.
Kel-Tec Sub 2000 Buttstock Pad
I received the Buttstock Pad today, and installed it. The installation was very easy, and although I didn't time it, it probably only took me about 15 minutes. The combination of the Buttstock Pad and the M-Carbo taller front sight has made the Kel-Tec Sub 2000 a useable rifle for me. M-Carbo has "GOOD STUFF". jc
Have you made a version for those of us that like to use the shorter stock option? If not, would it void the warranty if I were to make the modification myself?
Thanks,
Ray
I might not have been clear with my question. I was asking about modifying the butt-pad, not the Sub2000 stock. If a relief could be molded in one end of the butt-pad, it would allow the shooter the option to adjust the stock to their preference, and, still allow for the plunger to be removed for cleaning etc.

We have not made a shorter stock, they do have 3 separate holes you can use to adjust the length. If it is still to long, I would not suggest modifying any of the parts. If it is our part you will loos the warranty, if its a Kel Tec part, you will have to call them.
Do I need to drill holes to make this pad be able to screw to my stock
Do I need to drill holes to make this pad be able to screw to my stock
Yes you need to drill small holes in to the buttstock to be able to secure the pad
Do you have to cut the buttstock pad in order to close the gun so The front sight will fit?
Hello, thank you for reaching out! No, you will just need to have it fixed into the longest position to allow it to close properly!
Hi,
I'm intersted in this butt. I can't find it in France. Can you send it to France?
Best regards,
