Description

KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Buttstock Pad Upgrade

Introducing the custom-molded KEL-TEC SUB-2000 Buttstock Pad, designed specifically to reduce felt recoil. Its flat design ensures an equal distribution of recoil across the shooter's shoulder. This buttstock pad not only enhances comfort but also promotes a more solid and stable shooting stance. The flat, military-style design assists in achieving a consistent shouldering of your SUB-2000. Moreover, it extends the length of your factory buttstock by nearly an inch, offering a much-needed adjustment for many shooters.

This is the perfect upgrade for those seeking a flatter and more stable shooting platform for their SUB2K.
It greatly enhances comfort, minimizes recoil distractions, and prevents post-shooting marks. Please note that this buttstock pad is designed exclusively for the longest length of pull buttstock configuration.

Compatible with Gen 2 - 9mm or 40Cal SUB-2000 models, it is NOT suitable for the Gen 1 versions.

What Gen is my SUB-2000?

Developed by combat veterans at MCARBO, this buttstock pad stands out among KEL-TEC SUB-2000 accessories. Every modification is a result of feedback and collaboration with the MCARBO Brotherhood.

For 2nd Amendment Patriots aiming to elevate their Custom Pistol Caliber Carbine's performance, M*CARBO offers a comprehensive line of KEL-TEC SUB-2000 upgrades. Experience unmatched shooting performance with American-made parts, embodying competition-level quality.

Mcarbo has been the leader in innovation for the Sub2K for some time now. I have every mod available through Mcarbo. But this buttstock pad needs to be redesigned. I don’t want to have to drill through my factory stock and have the bolts sticking out on the other side. You could have made the bolts shorter for a more uniform appearance. Also you could have provided a paper template to place over the stock to make drilling the holes easier. The more serious issue is the cutout of the pad not mirroring the factory stock at the top. The gun only folds if you have the stock pin in the first hole farthest from the back. Try to adjust it to either of the other 2 holes and the front sight runs into the pad. With this pad you basically have a fixed stock. Missouri Tactical makes a much better pad for less than half of the price, and you don’t have to drill into your stock to install it. With the new Gen 3 2K releasing it shows that people love this carbine. Hopefully MCarbo will continue to innovate. Love you guys.
Great upgrade

My installation experience: I removed the butt stock and lined up the stock and the pad in a vise with soft jaws. Used a transfer punch to mark the drill positions. Started with a smaller drill for a pilot hole, then drilled to size. If you're using a combination wrench make sure you've got the proper size. The nut is an 11/32, not a popular size, but the installation is a 10 to 15 minute job if you have the proper tools. Make sure your original drill is sharp or it will walk on you with the plastic.

I bought these for my two (2) daughters, who each have a Sub2K Carbine. The installation was simple and the results were very well received by my girls after the installation. With a simple wood clamp, battery operated drill and screw[drive it took all of 5 minutes to install from shipping box to tightening the last screw.

This item is an excellent addition to the Sub2000. The installation for this buttstock was straightforward and easy to install. My only negative comment is that the buttstock is not as soft as I thought to could be. That being said, it is way better than the original hard stock and the aftermarket soft rubber stock pad that disintegrated after about a year.

I'm not sure I will spend the money to send this back but I will not be installing it on my Sub2000. It causes many limitations for the full use of the gun. It may have been better to design a complete remake of the stock rather than this "pad". You can only use in the longest position, you can't fold the gun to snap. It's flat but not a pad. I am a product and process engineer so I think I will design my own and print it on my 3D resin printer in two different new Loctite resins so I can print the hard part that is designed to have a soft section that snaps in. I intend on creating clearances for all the Sub2000 functions. The current pad was trying to use what existed and I get that. Sometimes however, you need to just start over. The Keltec is a very nice carbine but the stock stinks... When I get the new one designed, I'll post a picture.

I might not have been clear with my question. I was asking about modifying the butt-pad, not the Sub2000 stock. If a relief could be molded in one end of the butt-pad, it would allow the shooter the option to adjust the stock to their preference, and, still allow for the plunger to be removed for cleaning etc. Ray

We have not made a shorter stock, they do have 3 separate holes you can use to adjust the length. If it is still to long, I would not suggest modifying any of the parts. If it is our part you will loos the warranty, if its a Kel Tec part, you will have to call them.
