I installed this spring kit in a 365XL and it took the trigger pull from 6 1/2 lbs down to just over 4. Made me actually enjoy shooting the gun.
DO NOT USE on anything your life depends on
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I put the spring kit in both my X macro and P365 Fuse. Both operated flawlessly for several hundred rounds.

Then all of a sudden, after normal cleaning and use, I started getting light primer strikes on multiple rounds. Sadly, I trusted this in my Xmacro, which is my carry gun. This would’ve been devastating had it been required to be used in a life and death situation.

Fortunately, I practice regularly with these guns. After a day at the range having several failures, and after a recent cleaning, I put the stock spring kit back in and then proceeded to run 400+ round through each gun without a single light primer strike.

Don’t expect if the spring kit feels better and works out of the gate that you can trust a long-term, seeing other reviews and the fact that I had failures on both guns I installed this kit on tells me that this isn’t something that you should trust in a gun that your life depends on.

OMG, the trigger on my 365 was so mushy and hard to pull. I put the new springs in with the help of your video and bam, just like that, the trigger is excellent. Thank you for your excellent product and your equally excellent installation video.
Frequent misfires, light strikes - poor product support
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I purchased and installed this spring kit along with a short stroke trigger and my Sig P365X began to have frequent misfires, which I believe were due to light fire pin strikes. I called customer service and they could not help me. They told me that I needed to write an email to their support staff and that their gunsmith would respond. After a couple of weeks, no response. I contacted customer service again and they said they would talk to the gunsmith about the delay in response. Now a week later, still no response. This is my everyday carry gun. I finally removed the MCarbo springs and replaced them with the original factory springs. I have had no misfires since this change. Based upon this experience, I have come to the conclusion that MCarbo’s customer support is very poor, if not nonexistent. I also questioned the quality of their products. As a final note, thinking there might be a break-in period, I put about 400 rounds through my pistol with their springs before replacing them with the original manufacturer ones. Breaking them in didn’t fix the problem.
Mcarbo Trigger Kit: Elevates the P365 to Its True Potential
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
The Mcarbo upgrade transforms the SIG Sauer P365 into the pistol it was meant to be right out of the factory. It eliminates the heavy, mushy trigger pull that exceeds 6 pounds, bringing it down to a consistent 3-3.5 pounds with this kit. The gun now feels significantly better to handle. I'd recommend that anyone looking to enhance their P365 should start with the Mcarbo trigger kit!

I installed the flat trigger in my fuse, but my fuse has one piece striker spring cup that i could not remove. i'm looking for the regular spring cups in stock somewhere and i'll cut the one piece off and replace with 2 piece cups. i had an extra assembled striker lying around, so i upgraded the springs and put it in my fuse. good luck.

Question:
Does the spring kit besides lessening over travel does it take away the trigger creep that I seem to experience with this weapon?
June 15, 2024 12:43 PM
Answers
the Sig P365 Trigger Spring Kit is primarily designed to reduce trigger pull weight and shorten over-travel, it can also help reduce trigger creep to a small extent due to smoother spring engagement and improved trigger reset.

Question:
I own an XMacro, just got the kit today, and the video shows a completely different end cap assembly than the XMacro, so now I am stuck and cant install this, because there isn't a space to push the striker ring down and I don't want to mess my gun up. What gives, and why didn't anyone mention that Xmacros aren't the same?!
RobOChubb August 21, 2023 10:14 PM

Sig now seems to use a one-piece, off-white nylon-like plastic striker spring retaining clip in place of the two-piece retaining cups they previously used. It's sort of like a "C-clip" and, like a "C-clip", it has one gap at which you can spread it a bit to push it over the striker and remove it. Unlike the two-piece retaining cups, which fall off the striker easily when the spring is compressed out of the way, this one is a PITA and takes some effort to push off the striker. My fingers were getting tired holding the spring in a compressed state, so I tied the striker spring up with dental floss to keep it out of the way while I worked to get the factory spring retainer off. It all worked out fine. All good.

While I found the somewhat obscure video in question Blythe same evening before the other reply to my question, it’s stilll torques me that MCarbo wouldn’t take the time to make some sort of small note somewhere on the page or in the notes of the installation video (not saying you’d have to reshoot it) that would make people aware that ALL NEW. 365s ship with a slide striker spring collar that prevents the end cap from being removed in the manner shown on the video. This isn’t some small detail and should be addressed considering you’re emphasizing the ease of the DYI aspect of this. To MCarbo, Guys this is a failure, and I’m surprised I have to address this, make some small notation or warning statement saying that all newer models can’t be disassembled in this manner.
Answered by
RobOChubb / August 28, 2023 7:04 AM
There are other videos on Youtube that show the other end cap removal. You have to deform the plastic tab and push it to the left and down to remove the end cap. Just do a little more research, you'll find it.

Would *YOU* hesitate to install this " MCARBO spring kit " with the "MCARBO SHORT STROKE FLAT TRIGGER" on your everyday carry gun.

I can confirm; I have standard P365 (with M*CARBO flat trigger) and while I love the feel of the lighter trigger spring kit, I too am getting much higher rate of lighter/failed striker hits on certain ammo. NOT COOL for an EDC. I’m going to have to go back to stock striker spring and just enjoy the flat trigger and whatever the other two remaining springs afford me.

Well... I am getting light primer strikes on both an XL and XMacro 365 that have this spring kit, causing the round not to go bang, very bad for an EDC. Can't 100% verify it's the new spring kit, for sure, but will soon swap back in the original spring and see if that helps.

Yes. I can confirm, this does work with P365X. Followed the video and installed the kit. There is a slight difference with the P365X where the small spring behind the sleeve on the striker does not exist with the P365X. This is not a spring that is part of this kit, but it shows up in the install video. Just want others to be aware. The pistol performed flawlessly and felt great!

Awesome Fix

I installed the flat trigger in my fuse, but my fuse has one piece striker spring cup that i could not remove. i'm looking for the regular spring cups in stock somewhere and i'll cut the one piece off and replace with 2 piece cups. i had an extra assembled striker lying around, so i upgraded the springs and put it in my fuse. good luck.

the Sig P365 Trigger Spring Kit is primarily designed to reduce trigger pull weight and shorten over-travel, it can also help reduce trigger creep to a small extent due to smoother spring engagement and improved trigger reset.

Yes, the Sig P365 Trigger Spring Kit is compatible with California-compliant (CA model) Sig P365 pistols. The internal fire control unit (FCU) remains the same across standard and CA-compliant models, so the trigger spring kit will fit and function correctly

There are other videos on Youtube that show the other end cap removal. You have to deform the plastic tab and push it to the left and down to remove the end cap. Just do a little more research, you'll find it.

Can't 100% verify it's the new spring kit, for sure, but will soon swap back in the original spring and see if that helps.

if you install the other springs it should be pretty close to what we advertise. It wont be spot on however it should be with in a pound. Its hard to give an exact measurement since each firearm is different and springs usually have a + or - a pound to them.

Sorry for our delayed response in the Q&A's! If you want reduced pretravel and a crisper reset without decreasing your trigger pull weight, you definitely need our Short-Stroke Flat Trigger! Here's the link to this product: https://www.mcarbo.com/sig-sauer-p365-short-stroke-flat-trigger-upgrade.aspx This trigger will fit and function perfectly with the stock springs, which will ensure you maintain your current pull weight, and will give you everything you are looking for.

I just finished putting this kit in my Sig P365X Romeo Zero and the function test checks out find. Haven't tried it at the range yet, but will in a few days. I don't have a trigger gauge, but I'd say it lowered the trigger pull by a couple of pounds and I didn't install the sear spring...yet.
