Prevents possible problems
Being left handed, I can't see when a takedown pin starts to walk out, until it's too late. I ruined a Taurus TCP 38 this way and didn't want to ruin my new Ruger LCP Max, so I purchased this takedown pin. It does snap in better than the factory pin and I have confidence that it will stay in place during use.
Sturdy replacement
I prefer this to the OEM version, as it seems sturdier and more secure. No issues inserting or removing the pin, I liked it so much, I ordered the LCP Max takedown pin as well.
Small part= Big Improvement
They were backordered, and the company informed me via text message that they were in. The Customer service and support was Outstanding. The takedown pin is the weakest part of the otherwise excellent lcp2. I have much more confidence in the weapon now, thanks to your company upgrade.
Bought the original take down pin
I bought the original take down pin and noticed when shooting my pistol it would back itself out of the gun so I stopped using it and when back to the original one I received with my Ruger lcp2 then I received an email a year later about the updated take down pin and that I could get it for free just had to pay 3$ for shippIng I’m hoping it works better than it’s predecessor other wise someone’s going to lose an a few fingers if it backs itself out while shooting and needs to be pushed back in after one mag, and that sounds like a wonderful time and lawsuits (:
Ruger LCP / LCP 2 Heavy Duty STRESS-PROOF Takedown Pin
Great product. Idiot proof install. Had purchased one from a competitor prior, wish I'd bought this one first and saved my money.
LCP2 take down pin
I purchased this item in May of 2022 and it has been a complete failure! The pin does not stay in place. It tends to come out of the firearm. I have called and chatted with Mcarbo about this. They asked me when I purchased this and I told them it was on May 20th. Along with the take down pin I bought a stainless steel guide rod on my master card. I also called the store and was told they would send another pin.....still waiting! I am thinking they just want me to go away ....lol. For the record, I am very disappointed. The pin I am unhappy with that they sent me, was not even the one pictured in their ad. They said it was an upgraded version.....for me it was a total failure!
Trigger spring kit and steel guide rod
I purchased the Ruger LCP 380 and when I first shot it at the range I found the trigger pull to be very hard, and was having regrets buying the gun.
Did some researching and found M-Carbo and their kits. Ordered in the trigger spring kit and steel guide rod and did the install my self. ( watch the video very help full). Another note the video is for the LCP 2, I found the LCP was a little different but close enough the still do the install my self.
After the install, next day took it to the range and put some rounds though it.. sooooooo much better. I actually like the gun now.
Thanks M-Carbo good job.
Must have
So much easier to field strip and clean the lcp 2. Simply turn with a finger nail and then pull out with the same fingernail. No need for a flat blade or scratch the finish. Much easier to reinstall past as well.
Your installation videos show a completely different pin with a slotted head and different retention. Which is the current pin you sell?

Will the LCP 2 take down pin fit an LCP MAX? I sure hope so!
Thanks
