Great Slider Performance Upgrade for Rugar LCP 2
Just installed and tried out at local indoor range. Very happy with the performance and level of quality. Big enhancement to my new micro pistol!
Wanted it for velocitor and interceptor ammo. Works great with those 2. Slide don't lock back anymore when there is ammo in clip.
Although it didn't work for my particular Lite Rack, it's worth a try.
Nothing against the spring but in MY particular Lite Rack using CCI mini mags in it, out of about a 100 rounds, it had one failure to feed and one failure to eject. When I put back the factory spring it ran fine for a few more hundred rounds. Although guns are the 'same' there is no true way they can be the 'same.' You have to find what works for YOUR gun with the ammo YOU use. It could have been a whole other story with another Lite Rack with the same ammo, or my Lite Rack with different ammo. I'm just glad we have M-Carbo so we can try different springs out to see what works.
Runs great.
Bought one for my wife and first time out went bad. So I did the right thing and bought me one too. I installed the springs on both. My wife’s was a little more finicky but it found it’s comfy spot on the mini mags and rattled nicely. Mine had 2 FTE’s. I dropped the mag slammed it back on and never failed again. Buy it. Best ten buck fix for anything that I can remember.

Recoil Spring
When I first shot this gun I had several issues. With the MCARBO spring kit and this upgraded recoil spring my pistol now runs flawlessly!! This is a great upgrade and makes shooting this gun much more fun.
recoil spring and rod
simple install havent shot my pistol yet with these new parts but racking seems to be a noticible stronger pull.I hope it solves my ftf problems..
Does this spring make the gun perform better with different types of ammo?
Is this spring upgrade recommended with an Ruger LCP with a threaded barrel?
with most ammo even new Aguilla the second shot will not fire. the pistol has a new round in the chamber and is fully in battery will a new stronger spring help or add to the problem.
I want to know this answer also. I have the same problem even after a Galloway Precision performance spring kit and their trigger. I would want to purchase this if it does resolve that issue. Thank you
I purchased the Ruger LCP 2 Extra Power Recoil Spring - 22LR Only and it still seems a bit weak. I know a 10% increase is hard to feel but it seems about the same as the original. I get occasional failures to go into battery. I think a 20% increase spring would solve my problem. Please advise.

We have tested the spring in our firearms and found that is was successful. Ensure that your LCP is cleaned thoroughly, 22lr is a particularly dirty round.
Is this for LCP ll? There is some confusion regarding “ll” vs “2”.
