When installing this trigger on a CA-compliant Hellcat, the process differs slightly from our video. The Magazine Blocking Lever (Red Arrow) must be aligned under the tab of the Magazine Disconnect (Brown Arrow), per the orientation indicated by the Green Arrow.

Great Trigger
So far I have installed this trigger on 3 pistols, 2 Springfield Armory Hellcat Pros, and One Hellcat OSP .380. The installation isn't difficult, just take your time and follow the instructions. For me watching the video helped the most. You will be amazed and how much smoother and lighter the pull on the trigger is. Between the 3 pistols the pull started out in the low 7 pound range, and with the new triggers ended up in the mid 4 pound range. Quite the difference! I highly recommend these triggers!

The first review here scared me a bit, but I haven’t seen anything on that online. So keep it pointed down range I guess. Personally, I love it! Thant guys. Keep up the great work. Accident waiting to happen. known failure they chose to omit from the description.
I would strongly advise to steer clear of this trigger shoe. M*Carbo is selling this trigger with the understanding that with improper set screw position, the gun will fire when the slide is dropped to chamber a round. Nowhere on their site does it explain the potentially fatal flaw in their design; they only mention that the trigger "will not function properly." Not only to they not bring the full attention to the failure, they do not offer mechanical guidance or recommendation for how tight or lose the set screw should be set at. This is a lawsuit waiting to happen. M*Carbo needs to either fix the problem altogether, or they need to tell customers the truth of what can happen is the set screw isn't absolutely perfect. even with loctite, with constant cycling of the slide due to weekly training, the set screw WILL loosen and potentially cause an accidental discharge. Essentially, when the slide is locked back it pulls the trigger into an engaged position, exposing the firing pin. when you send the slide forward, the trigger is supposed to rest and disengage or reset the firing pin. this does not happen with this hellcat trigger if the set screw is even slightly too tight. How tight is too tight? no one knows, as M*carbo does not offer any information regarding how to set the position. i've sent M*carbo an email with the video illustrating the failure, as well as a voice message. i've yet to hear from a representative.

BLUF: Amazing trigger, wish I would’ve bought this before the Apex
As someone who has operated weapons worldwide for work, I gained awareness on different techniques used to do one thing, put rounds down range, it falls on the operator to put them down fast. On the personal side I modified my weapon to meet my needs, reduce recoil, get a faster sight picture, and overall feel comfortable with the weapon, like those grey joggers. MCARBO allowed me to meet all three of my needs on a Hellcat Pro which blew me away and now is my go to trigger for all my applications.

Installed their trigger and it’s sweet. Liked that I could just buy trigger since I was running other internals already. It shortened overall trigger reach which is what I was after and I didn’t even have to install set screw.

What is the Trigger pull lbs.
The trigger pull weight for the Springfield Hellcat:
Factory trigger: ~6.75 lbs
With M*CARBO MOD-2 Flat Trigger + Spring Kit: Reduced to approximately 4.5 lbs
The MOD-2 trigger by itself doesn't significantly lower pull weight, but paired with the spring kit, it creates a smoother, lighter, and more responsive trigger feel.

the MOD-2 Flat Trigger by itself does not significantly lower the trigger pull weight — it's mainly designed for better control, feel, and adjustability.
However, when paired with the M*CARBO Trigger Spring Kit, the trigger pull weight drops from around 6.75 lbs (factory) to about 4.5 lbs — a reduction of approximately 2.25 lbs.

Does the pre travel set screw need locktite? My trigger safety became really sticky after a couple of magazines. I had to disassemble and re-tighten it back down.
It is recommended to use loctite on pre/over travel screws to prevent them from walking out.

Yes, there are no major changes to the Hellcat platform.
Emails and packaging refer to trigger installation video----but it's no where to be found ?? Not good to leave your customers in the dark with a trigger install !!! How about some tips for the pre-travel screw. Cmon man.......

Does anyone have instructions on how to set the pretravel with the included fixture? I was able to get the screw put in place with the tiny hex key but can't figure out how to use the fixture to set pretravel. Thanks.

I could not get to the little screw with the trigger installed, so I took the locking block and trigger out and turned the screw a little and then put them back in and checked it. It took a couple iterations but I got the pretravel set to where I like it.

I'm sorry we still do not have an install video available yet! I believe Chris is waiting to do a full all-in-one install video, which hopefully will come quickly once we have our Strikers back in stock! You can definitely use our Spring Kit install video to assist with the tear-down and reassembly.

One kind of safety testing have you done on the Hellcat with your trigger spring kit and also with your trigger shoe? Have you done drop testing?
We conduct drop-testing in-house during our product testing before we release any new parts!
If you look up through the magwell, you can see where the firing pin safety engagement point is with the trigger bar. As long as you don't adjust all of the pretravel out (fully depressed firing pin safety) then it will remain drop safe. I gave mine a few hard whacks with a rubber mallet after adjusting 90% of the pretravel out just to be sure, and it remained safe.
