Great Upgrade
Slide action is so much smoother since installing the guide rob in my SP01. Using the factory flat recoil spring with it and have no complaints. Was a sucker to get back together though, just had to take my time and make sure everything was aligned (as mentioned in the installation video).

Works great
Awesome guide rod, well-machined, very smooth surface and looks good. It has functioned flawlessly with the few mags I've put through the SP01 since installing it. Also, installed it with MCarbo's extra power recoil spring and it's a real pussy cat to shoot now. Took off one star for there not being a nitrided or other black treatment a available.
Hard Rod vs floppy
No one wants the floppy rod. Make sure you have the firmness that will last with all shots. Very slick, has an awkward shape but it's easy to insert. You just need a lit bit of lube and make sure you're properly aligned. There is a sense of relief knowing that your tool will cycle properly without losing integrity.
On a serious note, the guide rode is awesome, CZ is an awesome manufacture (just wish it was Merican) but the original guide seemed like the lazy option.
Worked perfectly for IMI Jericho Coolfire
I am the proud owner of an IMI Jericho and purchased a coolfire trainer to practice with it. Problem was, the coolfire came with a replacement recoil spring and the IMI Jericho comes stock with a captured recoil spring, which means it could not be replaced! Fortunately, I was able to replace my captured recoil spring with this product and it is totally compatible with my CZ-SP01 coolfire kit on my jericho!
MCarbo CZ SP-01 Stainless Steel Guide Rod
This is my honest review for this product. First impression, it looks skinny compared to the other brand (Rival Arms Guide Rod Assembly) which I also bought and returned. The MCarbo stainless guide rod with extra power recoil spring always went in smoothly without too much effort, it really works for my CZ SP-01. The rival arms brand won’t even go in. Because I like it so much, I bought a second set of the MCarbo (spring and rod) as backup for future use incase I need them. Thanks MCarbo for making a good quality products that really works. Don’t waste your time and money on other brands, buy this.

My SP-01 Tactical has the factory flat wire recoil spring. Will this guide rod work with it?

Yes, you can absolutely still use the factory recoil spring with our Stainless Steel Guide Rod!
