This should be the standard part for Ruger in the PC Charger and also the PC Carbine. The plastic OEM part makes no sense at all to me. Why anyone would use a plastic part to retain a moving spring is beyond me. This S/S retainer will last forever and prevent any malfunctions that would be caused by a plastic part in this application. Do yourself a favor and change out the factory part before a failure occurs...

The oem plastic buffer and retainer are a joke and are weak points in an otherwise pretty sweet little pistol.Definitely do yourself a favor and replace this and the poor excuse for a buffer both made are well worth the piece of mind and the MCARBO buffer is way beyond the stock buffers capabilities and actually provided a noticeable difference in recoil with it.As usual MCARBO has not disappointed with their upgrades for the stuff that matters such as the the buffer and stainless steel retainer.Thanks
