This All in One Bundle Kit Is What the PMR-30 100% needs. Stock Gun will Fail to Feed or Fail to Eject no matter what Ammo You Choose at Some Time, Yes there are Some Ammo that's Better than Others, But if You want a Reliable Gun every time You pull the Trigger, Hands Down, M-Carbo All in One Bundle Kit is the Only way to Go with this Pistol. I bought this kit for my wife because her PMR-30 would misfeed or stovepipe after around 6 or 7 rounds consistantly.
Follow the instructions on the video to an absolute T. Double checked all of the Fasteners making sure they weren't too tight.
Wife went out to test fire it, and upon charging the first round in it, fired fine, however, the following round failed to feed. Thereafter, it would fail to feed each and every single round attempted.
Brought it back into the house, completely disassembled, brought up the video and reassembled exactly as it showed, took it back out to test it, failed to feed every single round. Wrote emails toM-carbo with regards to the matter, never heard from them. Finally, after several days, decided to give them a phone call. First tech that I talked to stated that it probably was due to a Magazine spring that needed upgrading or needed a new barrel. Called back a little bit later and spoke to another tech, that Tech helped me look at the barrel, and we determined it wasn't old Barrel that needed replacement through kel-tec.
If it needed an upgraded mag spring, how can this be in all-in-one bundle without including mag spring? I have since sent the pistol back to Kel-Tec so that they can do the barrel upgrade and whatever upgrades are necessary, however I feel completely let down by M- carbo staff and Company in general with regards to customer service, not to mention the time and money that I have put out towards this disaster. Never thought that "upgrading" a pistol would make it completely useless! At least before the upgrade it would fire 6 or 7, now it won't even fire one!

Before: Newer gun with 400 rounds thru it, at least one FTF on Every. Single. Mag. .... disappointing.

After: Full kit arrived on Thursday, three hours to install on Saturday (videos ESSENTIAL), 300 rounds on Sunday, ZERO problems or FTFs .... fantastico!

I purchased a KEL=TEC PMR 30. Prior to firing it I went to KEL-TEC and had them install it to avoid the loss of the warranty. Sometime later I and family went to a range where for the first time the weapon was fired. 6o rounds later I had one miss fire. NO flat of the weapon, the cartridge was bad. I find the weapon and kit are well worth the price. I carry it most of the time and find it to be most assuring, having the experience many years ago having shot several rounds of 22 WMR from a revolver through six inches of solid wood. I believe the modified PMR to be the answer for self-defense in this age of lawlessness and evil.

Very happy with the upgrade kit. Very well constructed with attention to detail.
The install video was very well made. The longer version was the best to show the install details.
I am proud to be a fellow MCARBO member.

Firstly, thanks for the installation video. The detail and instruction is extremely useful. The parts are even smaller than they appear in the video, so be prepared for that. (Clean, well lit workspace are a must). I took the time to polish the feed ramp to an absolute mirror shine (I used diamond paste - but be warned if you try that, it can remove material and change dimensions quite rapidly). My hammer block flew out as soon as I split the case, but again, thanks to the fantastic video, complete reassembly was not to difficult. Just know that this is an involved process, and if you aren't very skilled, the extra $150 is reasonable to have them perform the work. I chose not to because I wanted to slick up the feed ramp to rediculous levels). The only problem I ran into was getting the buffer spring retainer to sit on the pin straight. It's critical that it does. Other than that, fiddling with getting the 2 halves reassembled was tedious (the first time).

All that being said, was it worth it? Absolutely. I ran the sh*t out of this pistol with only 1 hiccup, (FTF) that was due to my 13 year old son taking his first stab at loading a magazine. (Which the included speed loader makes much easier). Every properly loaded magazine ran through this pistol like butter. Flame throwing, brass raining butter. I trust this firearm now. Whether shooting slow or fast as I can cycle, it works well.

I plan on getting another kit and installing in my father's PMR30. The added reliability is well worth it.

After seeing, installing, and running the kit, I understand the pricing. It's not cheap, but once you see the detail of the machining and engineering that went into it (not to mention the improved function) you will understand where the money went. Included tools and instruction video were indispensable. I cannot stress the joy of finally getting something that works as designed and has exceeded my expectations for both quality and performance. (I know I am starting to rave, and this is a voluntary, non-compensated, honest review - I was willing to flame this if it didn't make a noticeable difference).

I finally got to try out the PMR30 upgrade kit today after getting it installing several weeks ago. Right after getting it installed, I had back surgery so today was the day.
The first three rounds went down range without any problem. Then all of a sudden the trigger wouldn’t reset. FALSE ALARM!!!
I had bumped the safety in my excitement. Once I calmed down, it shot flawlessly. This particular gun always cycled pretty well, but not perfect.
Everyone needs at a minimum the upgraded buffer and take down pin, but if you can afford the kit, it is money well spent.
I loaded 2 mags with 30 grain Hornady V max bullets and 2 mags with 40 grain CCI.
it was flawless with 100 rounds.
We need a mag loader for the P17. 😀😀
