Q: Will the Marlin 60 Trigger Spring Kit work with the Marlin Model 25 Bolt Action Rifle?

A: No, it won't work with the Marlin Model 25 Bolt Action Rifle.

Q: Have you got a secret to getting the disconnector spring to lay flat with action?

A: The trick to installing these is to push the long leg down with your thumb then once it has a good 45 degree bend in it take your needle nose pliers and put the next 45 degree bend in it. Then get a good bite on the bottom of the plate with one jaw of the pliers and the top of the spring with the other and pull it toward you while flattening the spring against the plate.

Q: Why does your Marlin 60 Trigger Spring Kit come with 5 springs? I only count 4 in the picture.

A: You will notice that our picture shows 4 springs in the kit but when you receive the kit it will include 5. We send an extra disconnector spring with each Marlin kit because this is the spring that requires bending during the installation process. Just in case you bend it incorrectly, no need to worry, you can try it again with the spare that we included.

Q: Will the Marlin 60 Kit work for my Marlin 990?

A: Yes the Marlin 60 kit has been tested and works properly on the Marlin 990.

A: The installation is not very difficult but will take approximately 45-60 minutes. You will be very familiar with the Marlin 60 trigger assembly by the time you finish the job!

GLENFIELD 75 rebuild

Rating:
Pros:
Cons:
I just finished a 90% rebuild of my Glenfield from 1968. The guts are marlin 60. Some parts have changed a little over the years but everything I got from Mcarbo was a straight drop in. Very happy. The ones they did not have came from Midway. Buffer, new stile lifter , feed throat and extractors with springs. Only "hard" part was shaping the feed throat to match the old one. This can be done with a dremmel sanding drum. Just study it and think it through before you start. Study the videos and read ALL the pages for the 60. I am VERY happy. Last step was to use the muzzle lapping kit. At the range today I was hitting golf ball size targets at about 50 yards. Service is very good. Shipping is fast. Almost too fast. I called back one hour after placing a order to modify it and it was already gone! Thank you!

Great improvement over stock

This is a must for the Marlin 22 if you plan on doing an accurate plinking. The trigger pull is greatly reduced and feels just about perfect for what you would want out of a 22. The installation is easy enough if you a familiar with breaking down the rifle.

The receiver mechanism on the Marlin model 60 was always intimidating to me but with the Mcarbo video instructions it was like putting a puzzle together. The only thing I needed help with was the hammer spring, I needed the wife to re-insert the paper clip.
The kit probably reduced the trigger pull by half. If a 76 year old Air Defense Artillery guy can do it, anybody can.
