Ruger LC9 Trigger Spring Kit

Great option for the LC9. Was going to replace mine due to trigger pull, installed spring kit, what a difference, much lighter trigger pull, more user friendly. Would recommend this kit to anyone with an older LC9

Number of small parts. If you've done this multiple times you will know how to avoid some of the pitfalls. And it can be a fun little challenge. But don't kid yourself you will need all the tools they say you do. You will need to be very careful to follow the directions closely. And it will be harder to do than some of the steps than it sounds like it is. What I ended up with is what they said. The trigger pull is not as hard as before I did it. The trigger pull did not change. If you like the gun then it is a good choice. If you don't like the gun you most likely still will not. At least that was my experience. It will end up being long time storage in my safe. I just don't like that gun at all.

Installed the upgrade by following video. Was fun. Especially when wife saw me doing it. In any case, the gun Is a lot more fun to shoot. Much easier to handle. Nice spread at the range.

The LC9 Trigger Spring Kit made it a lot easier to pull the trigger and the video made it easy to install. Ready to take it to the range.

I purchased and LC380 a couple years ago and unfortunately it got stolen from my truck, but I recently got it back from the police and was so glad to have it returned. But I quickly remembered the horrible trigger this gun has. As soon as I saw Mcarbo made a kit for this gun I immediately had to order it. Just finished installing it today and with 4 mags fed through it my shots are way smoother and this trigger is 100% better. Couldn’t be happier with this product and the installation video made the whole process a breeze.

Fairly easy to install, works very well for $20. Really lightened and smoothed out trigger , this is a must for the LC9.

I received the LC9 Trigger Spring Kit, watched the video and then started the process of replacing the springs. After removing the frame insert, and placed the frame insert down on my work bench the safety came flying out, what had happened unbeknown to me is the safety was broken into two pieces just forward of where you place your thumb to operate the safety. The break was so clean that when you put the two pieces together it is hard to see the fracture line. The reason the safety had continued to work is that it was held captive between the frame and the frame insert, there wasn't any hint that it was broken.

Contacted Ruger and they sent me a new safety lever at no charge and provided an envelope to send it back to them for evaluation.

After receiving the safety, I completed the installation. The installation was easy and the video for the installation was very helpful, even a caveman could do it :slight_smile:.

Went to the range yesterday and fired 75 rounds with no malfunctions at all.

The pull was lighter, but I cannot say by how much as I do not have a gauge to measure it. The pull was smooth all the way to when the gun would fire, before there was a stage / step that you could feel before the gun would fire which is now gone. I do not know why Ruger designed this trigger in this manner with such a long pull, it is a terrible design.

I would recommend this upgrade to a friend.

Much smoother long trigger pull and much lighter pull to set trigger. Video was perfect to install the new springs, just be prepared for parts to not operate or come apart as easy as shown in video. Take your time, hit pause a bunch and enjoy making a bad factory trigger better. I also recommend watching video f before order as I ended up ordering the punches, hammer and bench block as well.
