Need a Ruger 45 LC install video
By the time I got done replacing two of the four springs on my Ruger 45 LC carbine, I was just praying I could get it back together and it would work. The video is obviously not for the 45 model. The trigger bar disassembly is totally different; there is no mention of how to get the safety spring back in after it falls out; and the bolt assembly is different. I ended up replacing the firing pin spring and the hammer spring. I decided not to mess with the other two after three hours of fighting and trying to figure out the changes between the 45 model and the video. It appears the trigger pull has been reduced by about 1.5#. I just hope tomorrow the rifle works. I've replaced a number of triggers and never had the amount of problems I had tonight. I've actually replaced the Scorpion springs by these guys in a number of Scorpions with no problems, so I'm not a rooky, but this spring kit kicked my ass.
Wanted to give 4 stars, but it is that good
I have the LC45 and it is apparently built a little different than the 5.7 that is used in the installation video. I was hesitant of trying until I read the Q&A section. M-CARBO insisted that the springs will work on all the models. So, I took the leap. Slow down and think a bit if you install this kit in the 45 ACP or the 10mm versions. It will work though. Biggest take aways are the safety lever does not need to come off, watch the ambi-bolt-release button it will grow wings, the trigger bar does not need to (or will it) come off, and the bolt's firing pin retaining pin slides in and out from the side. Watch the video a few times and compare it to the parts diagram in your rifle's manual. IMO another video needs to be made for the 10mm and 45ACP models. This all made me want to rate it at 4 stars instead of 5, but... the reduction is amazing and that overpowers the frustrations of the installation. It took the slop out of the trigger and reduced it from 5lbs 2oz average to 2lbs 4oz average. HUGE difference. Haven't shot it yet, and cannot wait. Going this weekend.
Good product
I bought the trigger kit for a savage axis which has an awful factory trigger , installed the 2 and 1/2 pound spring and shims that take all the side to side slack out , trigger is really good now Thanks MCARBO for a good product at a really good price

Excellent trigger performance
I just shot my upgraded LC Carbine at the range. The trigger upgrade was great, well worth the effort of installing. The trigger pull was smooth and repeatable. I highly recommend spending the time to upgrade the spring.
Problem with the safety selector roll pin
I really liked the results, the trigger pull is considerably smoother. I'm looking forward to trying it at the range next week. However, I gave it 4 stars due to the problem with getting the safety selector roll pin out (I see from the questions I wasn't the only one with this issue). I had considerable problems with getting the roll pin out going from the top down as the video instructs. I was successful by forcing the roll pin out from the bottom up, don't know why as the roll pin hole should be the same diameter on both ends. That being said, try pushing the roll pin out from the bottom if it doesn't come out like the video shows. Still, it was the toughest part of the disassembly. All in all, the video was very good and the results were excellent.
Ruger LC Carbine Trigger Kit
MCARBO, Thank You for asking a trigger kit for the Ruger LC Carbine. I was ready to deep six the rifle due to the horrendous trigger pull. Installed your kit and cycled the trigger and was extremely pleased, at least 50% if not more reduction. 100% Recommend this Product, a Must Have.
Will this kit work on the LC 10mm
I can confirm that this kit works with the LC 10mm. I installed it last night and tested with 200rds this morning - everything functioned perfectly. Be sure to watch the video for installation - but go into it knowing that the 10mm lower assembly differs a little from the 5.7 that they use on the video. #1 - for the bolt, the firing pin install fixture does not work - and is not needed. Just tap out the striker retaining pin on the side of the bolt and depress the firing pin with a punch when re-installing the retaining pin. #2 - when removing the pins from the lower (to pull out the fire control group0- be mindful of the bolt release button on the right side - it is under spring pressure and will shoot out. #3 - the trigger bar and safety DO NOT need to be removed. You can do everything you need by simply removing the pins for the sear, hammer, and hammer spring. Use the sear spring install tool to re-seat the sear/and spring (but do not pin it yet), then slide the hammer in from the top and pin it once you have the engagement lined up with the sear - THEN pin the sear. There is a little bit of a dance you have to do with the hammer sear engagement but it's not too bad. I was able to install this kit in about an hour - which included staring at the video and taking pictures of my fire control group as I was ripping it apart since this was my first time working on an LC carbine. I'm pretty sure I could install it in under 15 mins a second time around.

I just installed mcabo's Flat short stoke trigger along with there spring kit in my Ruger lc carbine 10mm and it's wonderful it's so much easier than the 5.7 to install. That's the smoothest trigger set I have gotten from Mcarbo. I will do more testing with it tomorrow and will post any problems but it's Butter. Highly recommended

The spring kit will work in an LC Carbine chambered in .45 ACP. The installation is very similar, slightly easier in this particular model. The firing pin install fixture will not work on teh .45ACP model since the bolt is slightly different. Trigger pull weight reduction is also very good, expect a 3.5 lbs trigger in a brand new firearm.
Will this kit work in the Ruger lc carbine 45acp
Greg05, yes, we have installed a couple of firearms and the reduction is awesome! Give it a try.
I can't get the 1/16th roll pin out of the safety selector no matter what I do. Any tips?
I finally got it. Needed to secure the lower to my bench with c-clamps and drove it out with a short nosed punch. It took a decent amount of force.
This will be firearm-dependent. On some LC Carbines/Chargers, this will be relatively easy; on others, it may be quite hard. If the pin does not come out as indicated in the video, try hitting it from the other side. This will loosen up the pin and eventually release it. If this part is too challenging, the kit will still work without the sear spring installation. The sear is not mainly responsible for the trigger pull weight reduction (25% of the total reduction), so this part of the install can also be disregarded. Do not disregard the installation of the firing pin spring since this could create malfunctions in your firearm.
I had the same trouble and found I could get the safety selector roll pin out the opposite side, the underside. It still took some effort, but I was able to get it out and complete the seer spring installation. I was worth it as the trigger is much smoother.
