*If you have a Mossberg 590, then you will need to remove both hammer springs that are in the Mossberg 590
Trigger Group from the Factory. There is an inner and outer hammer spring that fit inside one another. Then replace
the 2 factory springs with the single M*CARBO Hammer Spring in this kit. We've thoroughly tested this to
ensure it would be free from light strikes or discharges when dropped. Due to the Mossberg 590 being used by
the Military, it includes 2 hammer springs from the factory to ensure it will ignite harder primers on military
grade ammo. Unless you are shooting military grade ammo you will not experience any light strikes.

Mossberg maverick 88 12 gauge
Reduced trigger pull from 8.5 lbs to 6.5 lbs. With gasoline priced at 4.79 a gallon and the one hour drive to the nearest gunsmith and 35.00 dollars for the installation and price of the spring kit. Not worth the the end result.
Works but not as advertised
Nothing great to say about this kit... it's just springs... they do fit and function properly but my 590 20ga went from 6.5lbs to 5.5lbs not the 3.5lbs as advertised... not really a noticeable difference from factory but the trigger still feels good and everything works so I'll leave the kit installed.
Soft strikes after sitting in safe
Started soft striking after having in the gun for a few years in the safe. I put this spring in so it would fire when I needed the weapon. Pretty disappointed that I haven't even shot it and it's soft stroking primers from being stored. No other springs in any of my other weapons has failed.
Greatly reduced trigger weight
Installed on two of my Mossberg 500 12 gauge shotguns. After the first install I compared versus the other that hadn’t been upgraded and it was night and day. Haven’t had the chance to trap shoot or hunt with them since, but immediate improvement and feels much quicker to reset for cleaner breaks and pumping the next round. Easy install with the assembly tool/dowel, great upgrade!

No it would not you would need to grab the spring we make specific for the sa-20

Yes we recommend removing both the smaller and larger hammer spring and replacing it with the M*CARBO hammer spring to get the lightest trigger pull possible.
It lists the 590 & 590M as being compatible with. Is there any reason it would not work on a 590a1?

Yes. This kit will work in a 535 ATS.
About how long should the hammer spring last? I put the kit in my mossberg 500 and maverick 88 about 5 or 6 years ago and I starting to get lite taps in both guns. Do they need to be replaced now?

By Default, putting in a litter spring is going to have a liter strike. That being said our engineers designed it to still be strong enough to ignite the primer on a variety of brands.
