My spring got tweaked way back when so I got this replacement. Part fit perfectly & what a difference!!!
This replacement recoil spring got my old Marlin semi-auto back to the reliable performance I had in the past. I actually ordered three springs total, so i would have some spares. Shipping was very fast and follow up from the company was exceptional. These folks will be my first stop when looking for parts.
Replaced the recoil spring in my 1982 Model 60. Owned gun since new and fired many rounds over the years. Prior to this I did not know there was a different recoil spring for the modern hot loads but after replacing 2 buffers I found Mcarbo with the right stuff to update my .22. Great parts, great service, thanks.

This spring is much stronger and better than the original spring. I can now shoot CCI Stingers and Velocitors without worrying about damaging my recoil buffer or receiver. I had my doubts about it also working with standard velocity rounds due to the added strength, but it works well with anything I shoot in my gun. as usual, I am very pleased with the quality and workmanship of a MCARBO product. I hope they start offering products for the M1911.

As usual with Mcarbo parts they are of the highest quality available on the market. I haven’t fired the rifle with the new recoil spring installed but I have no doubts it will function flawlessly. It’s much much more robust than the spring that’s been in the rifle for the last 20 years. It had the ever dreaded ‘kink’. Now the rifle is back to its original self at least functionally.
Purchased this for my 1980 marlin model 70. Before installing the spring I could not got off 2 rounds without having to assist bolt forward. First thing I noticed was how much more stout the action felt after firing some she started feeding much better but I still will do some polishing on feed ramp and bolt. The last magazine I fired had last round stove pipe .Overall very satisfied and considering the spring kit for trigger and action.
Bit stiff to install,but the ol 1973 model 60, is back in the game. The e-clips also fit great. Shipping was fast. Will be ordering again. Thanks .🇺🇸
The 795 wasn’t my favorite rifle, but this little upgrade makes it mo’ better, increasing the types of ammo the rifle cycles reliably with. The spring does make disassembly & reassembly slightly more difficult, since it’s harder to get the bolt in, but it’s well worth the tradeoff.
Installed on a 40 year old Model 60. Functions as designed. I also put one one a newer Model 60 some time ago and am well pleased with the performance. Not as tough to install as you might think.
Bought this recently for my M60 and, as other reviewers have expressed, it is a very worthwhile improvement to the gun. A quick internet seach shows no other vendor offers anything like this. M*CARBO is ahead of everyone in offering inexpensive performance upgrades to a long trusted platform. Now if I could just find an HV recoil spring for my Ruger SR22P!
A bear to install due to the spring tension and these near 60 year old hands, but once installed it fired all ammo that went 1000 fps or better. Product worked well. Thank you MCARBO! The service was also very fast.
A side by side comparison of the factory spring and this spring shows a slightly more robust product. That does not do it justice and it will become abundantly clear how much stronger it is as you put your rifle back together. This spring is STRONG. It has so far functioned well with every flavor of ammunition I have thrown at it. Great product.

The Marlin 60 / Marlin 795 Hyper Velocity Recoil Spring was designed to prevent damage to your buffer and receiver when shooting Hyper Velocity ammunition rated for 1,000 feet per second and higher. Marlin recommends not shooting Hyper Velocity ammunition because it could (will) cause damage to your recoil buffer or receiver. This spring is much stronger and better than the original spring. I can now shoot CCI Stingers and Velocitors without worrying about damaging my recoil buffer or receiver. I also installed their MCARBO Trigger and Trigger Spring Kit to my Marlin 60 (with great improvement!), It changed the trigger pull pressure from 9.3 ibs to 3.2 ibs, you no longer pull the trigger, you now just squeeze it which has improved the overall accuracy and also improved the shooting pattern (much smaller grouping) due to the fact your not jerking the gun when pulling the trigger. Again, another great product from MCARBO! Lastly, I also installed the metal trigger guard (BLACK) from DIP. The Video and detailed instructions are great and make the entire installation quick and easy.
