I put this upgrade in my LCP MAX several hundred rounds ago and it has functioned perfectly so when I got my wife one I made sure to install one of these in hers.
Arrived quickly and the replacement piece is obviously stronger than the factory original. East installation needless to say. Recommend.
The stock takedown pin kept working its way loose and was hard to get back in. I read about the MCARBO pin on a couple of Ruger forum posts and when I took a look at it on their website, it definitely seemed like a better design, so I ordered one. It was much easier to put in than the stock one and did not come loose when I took it back to the range and put another 100+ rounds through it. Thanks MCARBO!
This pin is easy to remove and install. It should last a lot longer than the stock pin.
Out with the original part, in with newer Heavy Duty STRESS-PROOF takedown pin. One can see the beefier head on the M-Carbo part. Clicks right in in seconds. ccs
Part was definitely more substantial than original. Was not as described in video but installed very easy.
The new take down pin is a vast improvement over the original manufacturer pin. Communication and delivery was excellent thanks guys
Replaced original takedown pin in my LCP max with MCARBO’S new designed takedown pin. The pin is about.020 thousands thicker at the head of the pin. Will be a lot better than the stock pin which I have heard of them breaking. It is a good solid pin.

heard about mcarbo from a friend so i checked them out and found the take down pin and stainless guide rod so i got them for my wife's new lcp max they came very quickly and installed with no problems and work great now I'm just waiting for mcarbo to make a trigger spring kit for the lcp max because it is very heavy and i don't want my wife to not like the gun because of the trigger pull she really likes it now but not the trigger pull so we will wait thank you very much for your good products
Great little pistol, the MCARBO upgrades are excellent. Well worth the addition in comparison to the factory parts. Next level engineering.

Having just installed this item I can't really give it a complete review. It does appear that the head of the pin is sturdier than the original pin. The only negative I have (and it may not be an issue) is that the pin is slightly shorter than the original. Time will tell if that may be an issue.
Honestly I was hesitant to purchase this part. I thought the original did the job right? Well, this little pin changes the entire feel of the gun...don't know how, but it feels much more stable when racking the slide. Couple this with the SS guide rod and I feel like my LCP Max went from good to great! The service at M-carbo is outstanding, I will definitely be a returning customer.

Changed this pin out on my LCP MAX and the difference between the original one and the M-CARBO one is easily seen. Doesn't alter the function of the pistol, but I can see how it will stop a possible malfunction, well worth the money!
