We own 2 LCP Max pistols (wife and me). I installed every M*CARBO upgrade available. Take down pin was last item.

Ordered 2 pins and USPS "lost" the package. Yes, really. Tracking said it was delivered to my mailbox with a date and time. It wasn't. Checked neighbors and not there. Went to PO and talked with supervisor who actually pulled up digital image of package. Said they'd get back to me via cell phone. 4 days later they did. Package "lost" very sorry"...indeed.

I could file online claim. Screw them. I called M*CARBO customer assistance. Said no problem "we will send you another 2 pins no charge". Got them in 3 days via USPS. Love you guys. New pins are great. Heck, everything from them has been great! Have bought A LOT of their stuff. Maxed out new Keltec M*CARBO SUB2K and "loaded up" PMR30 I sent in for full workover and then bought optic mount the first day they were available. Also upgraded my Hellcat OSP with everything available. Great company. Great service. Great products. Customer for life.

Nice polished stainless rod makes sense to change out the factory carbon steel piece. I installed this and your take down pin before even going to the firing range! They make sense, I plan to keep this pistol a long time.

Maybe it’s an unnecessary upgrade, but I installed these in my LCP II as well as my LCP Max. Neither presents any issues.

This part jammed my slide when I went to rack a round in the chamber. The shoulder of the pin was rubbing on the bottom of my slide and wouldn’t allow free movement!

Tried emails and texts to Mcarbo but 🦗🦗🦗!! I put the original back in and was done with these people!

Remember, Ruger is who designed it so I’d trust them for my firearm parts before this aftermarket parts store!!

Well worth the money for a better part and the piece of mind that comes with knowing you don't have to worry about the factory part failing

Take down pin hard to remove

I ordered and received a takedown pin for my LCP ii, and one for my LCP Max. The pin installs great and doesn’t back out, but when you try to remove it for gun cleaning, it was almost impossible to remove. The plastic on the side of the gun was bending out before it finally popped out. I inspected gun and didn’t see any cracks in the frame, but I believe that I’m lucky that the removal process didn’t crack the plastic frame. I experienced this on both the LCPii and the LCP Max. I re-installed the factory pins in both guns and just watch them so they don’t back out.

A review posted by someone else on 7/18/23 said that while removing the Mcarbo takedown pin, the black plastic frame of their gun (surrounding the pin) flexed outward. As the owner of a new LCP Max, I can confirm that the flexing happens during removal. The Mcarbo takedown pin is "latched" onto the silver wire inside of the frame and during removal, the silver wire pushes against the black plastic frame. To counteract the flexing during pin removal, just use two fingers to aggressively push down against the black plastic frame area surrounding the pin.

The Mcarbo pin is very well designed and machined. I wish the rest of my LCP Max was that well machined !

They're on backorder, OK. But then they'll send you an email stating item shipped when it hasn't shipped. They keep your money. Then inconvenience you by making you track down what's going on. Supposedly it will be off back order in a month, so again YOU better keep track, because they still have your money. They send an email stating item shipped when it's actually still on backorder because....reasons?
