I watched the install video a few times first before actual install. Also, purchased a Wheeler Engineering Trigger Pull Scale. I did a trigger test with the stock trig and results 8lbs on average with 10 test. I did the install with many pauses and rewinds on during the install. Once done I made sure everything worked properly. Big difference stock trigger to M-Carbo. Did trigger test averaging 6lbs on 10 test. Went to try it at range. First, 3 shots closely grouped. After the 3 shot fired no go for 4. I ejected the 4 rd no problem and released mag and did an inspection of why malfunction and didn't see anything. So I reloaded the same mag and 3 shots no problem and again same issue. Cleared my firearm and did a new mag change. Same issue with new mag. The ammo used Tul Ammo. Never had issues with this ammo. Back home disassembled firearm and trigger springs. Cleaned firearm and assembled. Haven't had time and weather not allowing me to test. I'll repost once tested.

8lb down to 6.5

So I purchased this spring kit.. because this gun had the worst trigger ever!!..install wasn't to bad at all..the kit dramatically reduced pull weight..much smoother..however ...the travel is still ridiculous ..I know there is not much anyone can do about that..but over all..THIS KIT IS ABSOLUTELY WORTH BUYING HANDS DOWN..if you are questioning doing it...JUST DO IT!!

A must upgrade

I did a lot of research concerning the trigger heaviness after losing my excitement for this gun. But after polishing the sear and installing this trigger kit my gun has been transformed. Night and day. Now I really enjoy shooting it again.

AMAZING

My first gun was the SD9VE and was having problems shooting to the left and down, I noticed that my problem was in the trigger. This upgrade is just phenomenal, literally night and day. I'd recommend this setup for anyone looking for an easier pull.

Amazing!

I was pretty disappointed with my new SD40VE. I was consistently pulling my shots left. I adjusted the rear sight and still had issues pulling left.

I installed this spring kit, went to the range today and I'm hitting dead center every shot! I shot 100 rounds in less than an hour with no issues whatsoever! I love my SD40VE now!

Great job macro! Now just come out with some more stuff!!

Another Awesome product.

This is yet another wonderful American made product from MCARBO. Reduced the trigger pull on my pistol from a horrible 8.5 lb pull down to a 5 lb trigger pull. Light and smooth.

As advertised

Product worked great. I installed on my wifes S&W SD9VE, and the change is almost unbelievable. Before, I had a hard time squeezing the trigger, its like you almost had to stand on it before it would fire. Now, its a nice, crisp pull, and will be tested at the range soon. On a side note, while the parts change was easy, for my big hands, even with the tool included I still fumbled a little with the reassembly of the trigger.

Awesome

My kit came in fast especially with a national pandemic going on! They did great. The kit itself worked awesome. Thank god tor the YouTube on how to assemble. Took me a few times to get the last trigger spring in but the video was a major help. The little plastic tool is crucial to get the trigger spring in. I plan on buying a bench block from you guys as well since I didn’t have one when working on my SD9VE. The trigger is soooo much smoother now compared to the stock one. Plus my order came with a sick sticker to toss on my ammo storage can. Thank you guys!

Awesome

Recently installed the trigger spring kit in my SD9VE. Swapping out the striker spring and striker safety block (firing pin safety) spring was a snap.

The trigger return spring, not so much. Trying to drive out the trigger/locking block pin from the right side of the frame using a punch and hammer is problematic because the slide release lever captures that pin. Trying to hammer it through from the right to left could cause damage to both parts. Instead, do it Glock-style and using a Glock tool or similar, push on the end of the pin from the left while wiggling the slide release lever forward and rearward. It'll come right out.

Re-installing the trigger/locking block pin by following the video tutorial was even more frustrating as the "installation tool" (slave pin) would not stay in place and I could not get the pin past the hole in the slide release lever. I had to consult the frame re-assembly video from Apex Tactical and following their tutorial had that pin back in in seconds. This involves removing the rear frame coil pin (careful! It may be larger on one end) and removing the sear block assembly. The rear of the trigger bar is then lifted up so that the "loop" on the front of the trigger return spring aligns itself with the holes in the trigger body. Push that trigger pin back in from the right, through the trigger, and then through the slide release lever as you're wiggling it (again, Glock-style) and it's easy. Hook the sear block back onto the trigger bar, push it all inside the frame, and drive the rear frame pin back in (again, be careful if that pin is asymmetrical!).

I took my completed project to a gun shop so that I could have the trigger weight measured using their Lyman gauge. Oddly enough, the average of 5 pulls was 8.5 lbs. As a control the guys there then measured the pull of a stock SD9VE in the display case. Again, 8.5 lbs. Anyway, my pistol's trigger feels awesome and the telling will be when I take it out to the range to check for light primer strikes.

I am very impressed with the customer service and speed of delivery as well as the final product (so far) but the video tutorial takes shortcuts for removing and-re-installing the trigger pin that could result in damaging one's firearm.
