I purchased the Trigger kit for my M&P Shield 9mm (Performance Center). Can't wait to test it on the range. Original trigger pull was about 4lb. I'm not sure if I'm testing the pull correctly but, I'm getting less than 2lbs on the trigger now (did the pull test about 7 times). Not sure if it's me though. Haha The only thing I wasn't able to swap out was the Striker Safety Spring. For whatever reason the 1/16 channel key was too small for the screw on the rear sight. So I'm not sure if the Performance Center Shield has a different size. Nonetheless, after watching the install video several times before I preformed surgery. All I have to say is the video is 100% on point. GREAT JOB!!! I'll will be ordering the Trigger Kit for my SP-01 Tactical. Can't wait to attempt that one!!!!
This was a really nice trigger spring kit and easy to install; and that's only because you produce easy to understand and detailed install videos, which no body I know does that. That says a lot about how much you appreciate your customers. I have ordered five times from MCARBO and they ship out quickly. Great, step by step, installation videos. Had a minor concern about striker safety spring and product support quickly responded with an answer I was completely satisfied with. Install went smoothly and decreased trigger pull a titch over two pounds. Great team they have.
Everything included to reduced my trigger pull and resolve grittiness. Very easy to follow video. If you have a M&P Shield, this is a must install!
I honestly only needed the trigger spring, but all the parts were sturdy and high quality. Shipped quickly, arrived on time, and securely packaged.
Overall this product is excellent excellent. I only ran into few snags. The video makes removing the stock sights look straight forward but man are they a pain. After an hour of fighting it I took it to a gun smith and had them remove it for me. Once off the rest of the video was spot on and I was able to easily duplicate the results for the slide ( I took it back in to have the sights installed.) The only other difference is my model has a manual safety that isnt in the video. Luckily I studied the mechanism before removing it so I could reinstall. With that being the only other difference this is definitely a 5 star product. Thank you MCARBO, I love my gun even more!
I just installed this on my M&P Shield 9, it was a great install. The videos are a great help with the disassembly, changes, polishing and assembly. The result is a much smoother trigger, with a lighter pull. I shoot my M&P Shield in an Action Pistol match, and when I wasn't paying attention to my trigger pull, I'd pull my shots low left. I think the smoother pull will help, especially when I do my part! I did order the polishing kit, bench block, punches and hammer. I wanted to have these tools with the kit, as they are the perfect size, and it's nice to have everything together. They are are all great quality, and I would highly recommend them.
Shipping and follow up from MCARBO are amazing along with a very easy step by step video! Trigger pull is definitely better with a clear reset. I will buy another for my wife’s shield. I did not purchase the polishing kit as I already had all the components, but polishing also makes a big difference. My only challenge was with the trigger spring tool that did not fit the trigger pin, so I reverted to the Monarch trigger installation of using fishing line to line up the trigger spring and trigger pin, and my version of shield had different size roll pins than the video, but beyond those little setbacks, this is well worth the money and MCARBO is a customer friendly company.

I recently ran across a deal I could not refuse on a .40 cal S&W Shield 1st gen. The guy getting rid of it hated the trigger pull. Even though we live in North Carolina he had a MA compliant pistol with the supposed (10.5lb trigger). When I bought it, I used my digital trigger pull scale that maxes out at 12lb, well it would read "over" prior to striker fall every time!!! I thought about getting a Apex trigger kit but then I ran across the M*CARBO spring kit and decided to try this kit. After doing the work described in the video the trigger was much smother and went down to 7.8lb trigger pull. Still wanting to improve it I found a old striker block from a 9mm shield I had done a trigger upgrade on in the past. After polishing it and putting it back together.............. I am now getting a 4lb trigger pull!!!! and as stated in the video........ as smooth as butter!!! Thanks M*CARBO
Wow. What a great kit. The Instruction Video: makes it so clear and takes you through the process step by step, explaining everything along the way. You will know your firearm intimately after you finish. The Kit: made a huge difference. Took out all the crunchy takeup. Lightened the trigger pull a LOT. (I don't have a scale). So smooth. It's a whole different gun.

I figured, worst case, the firing pin spring would probably help the trigger pull a bit, and it did. So I tried the other springs and the polishing as shown the the MCarbo YouTube video. It all worked perfectly, except that I couldn't get the rear sight to budge. Nearly broke my vice and two sight pushers trying. So I didn't replace that tiny spring underneath, but it didn't matter. The remainder of the kit and the polishing brought a 6lb trigger down to just below 3.5lbs. Absolutely what I was hoping for! Thanks MCarbo!
Installed the trigger spring kit on my new Shield. It initially had a 6lb trigger consistently, but the spring kit reduced it to 3.5 lbs. Very satisfied with this result, especially, once I replaced the factory trigger itself for an aftermarket product to shorten the length of pull. $1000 performance for less than $100.
