Followed the video instructions on a Gen1 Sield. Got the trigger down to 4.5lbs. Perfect for carry.
Definitely worth the low cost for an improved trigger. This lowered the trigger weight of my Shield by 1lb. It's also a much smoother pull.
Purchased the Spring Kit for my M&P Shield.. Easy purchase and received the kit within a week. No problem. After viewing the installation process by Chris several times, was not hesitant about the clean-up, polishing the parts and the installation of the springs. Reassembly was straight forward other than the sear block as I had to work with the safety lever to ensure it was in the "fire" position. Other than that all was good. Trigger is much better, smooth and crisp. Product was a good value. Will not hesitate to purchase from M*CARBO again and support Chris' mission.
My pistol went from 6.5 pounds to 4.5 pounds. I would not want to carry a pistol with a 2.5 pound trigger. Also the motion is much smoother, so I am happy with the results. The instructional video was very good. In addition, if you call for help, you will get it. The hardest part was getting the rear sight off. Be patient and escalate heat and force gradually. Make sure your Allen key is the right size - mine was a few mills small. If you do strip out the head, you are probably dealing with a 5-40, 3/16” long set screw and you they make tools to extract bolts that small. (Fortunately, I didn’t- my key was just undersized.) I’d recommend this to a friend.
This product was great along with the video. I didn’t get the 2.5lb trigger pull felt close to the same just a whole lot cleaner and crisper. Definitely worth the $

Trigger weight wasnt quite as light as I was hoping. Took the factory 5lb 10oz trigger down to a 4lb 8oz tigger. I was hoping to have it lower to about 3.5lbs. But overall happy and the video was fantastic and very informative would definitely recommend the purchase.
This is a really great kit,have installed it on a customers pistol he was elated at the results.
Just got to try my mp shield 9 after replacing the spring kit. The trigger pull is greatly improved. I’m definitely going to change the spring kit’s on more of my pistols. The video was a great help also.
Went together smoothly. Difference is night and Day. Went in a Smith and Wesson Shield Plus.
I started out at about a 5 and 3/4 lb trigger pull. It was gritty, and sometimes inconsistent. At times it was so bad, I thought about getting rid of my shield. Anyhow, I watch the video twice before attempting the trigger job, and I must say it went quite well. I ended up with about a three and 1/2 pound pull and I couldn't be happier. I took it to the range and gave it a good test with about a hundred rounds and it ran flawlessly. I would recommend this kit.
Wasn't sure if this would work on the Shield Plus, but it was so cheap I decided it was worth a shot. I did the full procedure (spring replacements, sanding, polishing) as demonstrated in the video, and my trigger went from 5.5lb with slight creep/grit right before break to 3.8lb with no creep/grit and a perfectly clean break. I am very happy with the results!
After buying my a M&P 9mm I realized the trigger was very notch and stiff. After installing this kit the trigger is perfect, not too light or stiff. The videos for the kit made this an easy job. Thanks
I ordered this kit for my new M&P Shield 2.0 9mm. I started with 6lbs of trigger pull and after install it dropped to 4lbs. I know that after I put some rounds thru the gun the trigger pull will drop down more. I only did a quick polish (not like Chris's) but I am very happy with the trigger now. Can't wait to put some ammo thru it.
I purchased the Trigger kit for my M&P Shield 9mm (Performance Center). Can't wait to test it on the range. Original trigger pull was about 4lb. I'm not sure if I'm testing the pull correctly but, I'm getting less than 2lbs on the trigger now (did the pull test about 7 times). Not sure if it's me though. Haha The only thing I wasn't able to swap out was the Striker Safety Spring. For whatever reason the 1/16 channel key was too small for the screw on the rear sight. So I'm not sure if the Performance Center Shield has a different size. Nonetheless, after watching the install video several times before I preformed surgery. All I have to say is the video is 100% on point. GREAT JOB!!! I'll will be ordering the Trigger Kit for my SP-01 Tactical. Can't wait to attempt that one!!!!
This was a really nice trigger spring kit and easy to install; and that's only because you produce easy to understand and detailed install videos, which no body I know does that. That says a lot about how much you appreciate your customers. I have ordered five times from MCARBO and they ship out quickly.
