Swapped out my worn factory recoil spring to the MCARBO and it’s far better. Just need to get the trigger upgrade spring kit next.
I'm glad M Carbo sees the potential the HP22A has. With their newly extended steel spring it really gives it a longer lasting edge making the pistol more potent. I know it will last long as I had purchased one two years ago. Very well crafted and fits perfectly without any issues as if it's an original for the pistol.
This is a great upgrade. It really made a big difference in how the gun functioned. The Mcarbo spring is noticeably firmer than the factory spring. Highly recommend.
I ordered this spring and the dual trigger springs (only installed the sear spring so far) but as I was installing the recoil spring it went flying off into my living area! I looked everywhere but finally just ordered another, it will show up someday. I got the new one installed with the help of a flat piece of plastic to hold it down as I lowered the barrel. I can feel the difference and look forward to shooting it soon.
The spring is definitely stronger. It does improve the cycling of the slide going over the hammer. Installation is painful. With the original spring one has to be careful and keep the spring down while pulling the slide back and inserting the barrel. Need three hands for this. With the more powerful spring it is very difficult. One shot out into the bushes and luckily I ordered two. Think it is a design flaw. The spring needs a rod through the middle to capture it and the rod should go through a hole in the front of the slide below the barrel just like in the Ruger LCPii, 22lr and the Ruger EC9s. Thinking of modifying that even if it will nullify the factory warranty. Really do not feel like straggling with that everytime I clean the gun.
My old factory spring was wore out causing issues but after replacing with the new upgraded 1 no more issues

well once again M*Carbo delivered. The factory spring was crap all the way. I was so upset with the firearm when i got it. Ordered a ne recoil spring, trigger spring and return spring, WOW, what an improvement. Thanks, guys, for making better parts that the manufacturer. I give yall 10 stars

I ordered two recoil springs, and the trigger spring kit. Customer service was polite, professional and very focused on customer satisfaction. The products were high quality grade and the install video was easy to follow. I will order products again in the future!
Like many hp22 owners I needed a replacement spring when the factory spring shot off across the room. Rather than crawl around on my hands and knees looking for it I opted to just buy a new one. M*carbo had what I was after and got it shipped in an extremely timely fashion. They also sent a delivered notification once the item was in my mailbox which was nice. The downsides? Shipping was a tad expensive, almost doubling the price of the item. Installation was a pain, the new spring was definitely more robust than the original, but I recieved an email saying that M*carbo has installation assistance, so that's not a big deal. Over all, this was a positive experience. The shipping cost was a bit of a surprise, but given there crazy times we live in I was willing to suck it up and the quick arrival time definitely grunted there sting. I'll certainly be back for any other parts I may need in there future.
