The stock spring sometimes would balk a bit while chambering a round. This spring eliminates that issue completely!

Great product , the how to video made it a easy job to switch out the stronger , safer recoil spring.
Installation was as expected. Turning the barrel around and having it hold the spring down while moving the slide back works well to hold the spring in place.

Dealing with M-CARBO was very good and they shipped the recoil spring promptly. Unfortunately the spring did not operate in my Phoenix Arms HP22a. Almost every round jammed and failed to eject. They sent another spring and I had the same result. I then reinstalled my original spring and the handgun worked fine. They tried to help but I have given up.
One of the biggest issues on the Phoenix Arms HP22A is the slide cracking due to a weak recoil spring when using standard or high velocity ammo. This heavier duty should help reduce this issue.
Upgraded Recoil Spring,Kool Veteran Product🙃👍Normally i'd try to buy anything possible for a product to enhance and feel the best characteriatic's of any product, kool there was a 3rd Party Veteran Builder who inventer kool product's for consumer's to experience a rare product competition build, Notice difference as soon as put on Competition Recoil spring alot stiffer which is instantly noticeble, pulling slide back and forth was alot stiffer feel to it felt more durable feels like the soring can last alot longer as described in product description, but have to go range to feel the new product upgrade highly recomend kool to see products for it making it more fun to build and enjoy the performance of a product better from a Veteran Pro who sell's it🙃👍🇺🇸🙃👍💪🏻
Replaced the stock recoil spring with this spring and “WOW” what a difference!! Parts were here in just a few days and exactly what I ask for!! Great job!!!!
spring possibly too long ,when compressed there is no spring left to actuate the spring loaded take down lever / barrel hold down pins . Destroying the barrel if trying to force. Just to be certain I tried with 5 factory springs. Barrel locks into place, no problems. This spring will not let the lever ingage the pins that keep barrel locked into position. Was really wanting this to work but alas $15 wasted. On a side note the trigger kit is awesome , I would recommend. Installed easy and dramatic difference!
The heavier recoil spring made a world of difference in the performance of my HP22. Loads smoother and runs out great. No hiccups even running magazine dumps back to back. Great products and service.
