SW SD40VE trigger spring upgrade kit
I was skeptical about buying this kit. The mixed reviews left me feeling a bit "MEH". The SD40VE trigger is a mess, heavy pull, tons of creep, and just leaves me wondering what S&W was thinking. Then I remember the key point about this weapon. This is a sub-$400 pistol. Yes, the M*CARBO kit works! The change in the profile of trigger performance was exactly what they promised. On that note: The SD40VE is a pig, and the upgrade is nothing more than lipstick, BUT.... In the realm of budget pistols it is $20 well spent. This is not a $20 " made my pistol a tricked out race-gun" fairytale, it is a solid upgrade that delivers the performance asked for. Should you find yourself dissatisfied with this upgrade, maybe it is time to consider trading your Smith in on something better?
Trigger spring kit
purchased two trigger spring kits for my S&W Sigma SE40VE and SE9VE pistols. had installed with master gun smith. both starting pulls right at 10 lbs installed kits both ended up with pulls right at 8 lbs sure nothing like you claimed around 5 lbs period. Waste of money for purchase and money to install!!!

Installing this spring and some modest polishing reduced my trigger pull to 6lbs! Shipping was fast! I appreciate the great quality and service. Now, could you please make a better trigger for this pistol?
Excellent Way to Make a Sigma SW9VE More Useable
While going through the gun safe, I found my old S&W Sigma. It had long been retired in favor of Glocks due to an awful trigger pull. Really heavy and long and creepy.
I went online to find ways to improve the trigger, and stumbled upon Mcarbo. $20 later and 5 days shipping and I was installing the spring kit. It took about 90 minutes, mostly spent getting the pigtail spring back in.
I immediately took it out to the range and was truly amazed at the result! A Sigma can be fun to shoot and accurate. Well worth the investment in the spring kit.

It is a waste of time and money, didn't reduce the pull by even a pound.
I have installed many MCABO trigger kits and this the only one that did absolutely nothing.

We haven't tested our spring kit in the SW40F, that was their precursor model to the SW40VE. We can't say for sure whether they made any changes with the sear spring, so unfortunately we cannot guarantee the results for your model.
