Description

Ruger PC Carbine Shock Buffer

*Recoil Reduction Bundle No Longer Available*

Enhance your shooting experience with the Ruger PC Carbine Shock Buffer by M*CARBO. This accessory is designed to reduce the initial recoil shock on the shooter and minimize wear on internal parts, thereby increasing the reliability and longevity of your Ruger PC Carbine.

The Shock Buffer serves as a crucial barrier, preventing the heavy bolt from bottoming out at the end of travel, protecting your Carbine further. Acting like a shock absorber, it mitigates the impact of the blowback operation of the bolt against the receiver, preventing any premature wear and potential issues with your Ruger PC Carbine. This makes it a valuable investment for safeguarding and enhancing the performance of your firearm.

Our Ruger PC Carbine Shock Buffer incorporates a durable rubber buffer encased in a hard glass-filled nylon shell. This design serves to dampen the initial shock of recoil on the shooter and provides an impact cushion for the bolt, improving the overall function of the Carbine.

Whether you have a 9mm or a .40 Cal Carbine, this Shock Buffer is designed to fit and function seamlessly.

At M*CARBO, we specialize in Ruger PC Carbine aftermarket parts, and we’re proud to offer a Shock Buffer that is poised to extend the life of your Carbine for years to come. Developed by combat veterans, our custom accessories are a testament to quality and functionality, promising to out-perform the rest.

Great quality

Installed and tested about 100 rounds of a variety of different types of ammo, no malfunctions whatsoever. Felt recoil was not a huge difference but noticed it seems a bit more controlled. I'm using the stock spring with this buffer pad. Went with the retainer pin as well to go along with this, the quality is much better than stock.

Did a full upgrade on my PC Ruger this weekend replaced the Edge Extractor, Shock Buffer, Bolt Head and Extractor Pins, SS Recoil Spring Retainer, and SS Trigger Pin Group Pin Kit. Very happy with the quality of these replacement parts over the factory parts.
A real difference

Very seldom does a product deliver on its promise. The M-Carbo enhancements are the exception. I purchased the muzzle break, recoil pad, spring, and retainer for my PC9. Followed the “how to” videos and headed to “the range.” I was amazed at the cycling action, reduced recoil, and lower db. Others with me were equally impressed; including combat vet family member. Blew though several hundred rounds and it was only day one of our vacation! If you make only "one" enhancement to your PC9 add the recoil pad, spring, and retainer.
Replace OEM buffer and retainer ring
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
After field-stripping my Ruger PCC and cleaning I could not get the trigger assembly to re-seat on top of the bolt assembly in the lower receiver. The problem per attached photo was the OEM buffer and retainer ring wear very easily and it doesn't help that you have to grab the buffer and yank on it to get the bolt out. So that wear pattern and distortion in the buffer was just enough to keep the whole bolt assembly from seating in the bolt carrier and preventing the trigger assembly from seating on top of that. Replaced with m*carbo buffer and steel retainer which are better engineered and everything went back together exactly as God intended. Prompt USPS delivery. Thanks guys.

I put the buffer on my PC9 carbine and right after this the carbine stopped locking the bolt after the last round with glock style magazines. The lock was failing 8 times out of 10. When I put the original Ruger buffer back the lock started
working as expected right away. I tested with genuine Glock and Magpul Glock style magazines.

Was having a major eject issue with the Ruger carbine. Replaced with mcarbo parts, recoil buffer, recoil spring retainer, extractor and pins. Gun works perfectly. Ran 100 rounds with no issues. Thanks mcarbo, will order again. Also the install videos are top notch.

SPRING AND PAD REPLACED
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
I replaced the recoil spring and the bumper pad. Also, the stainless clip. I fired my pcc prior to doing this mod and after. There is a big different in recoil action. The bumper pad is a good mod for preventive maintaince. I had no issues with cycling and firing the gun. everything worked smooth and flawless.

Don’t know IF there is any worthwhile reason for isi g this replacement part yet….. one reason is …. I could’nt replace the spring because they quit making it😳 since it’s not that big of deal wondering if this part really matters….

sure thing! you can try using a wooden dowel to assist, sometimes added leverage will make something that normally requires strength and dexterity much easier.. Thank you for replying, YES, all the MCARBO upgrades I installed on my Ruger carbine work great. I would like to know why you changed the Carbine muzzle brake; the video showed a simpler install that most everyone could do. I installed the muzzle brake, and it works find, but I must tell you from a Senior Citizen viewpoint the original install video looked much, much easier. As for the sights on my Carbine I would suggest maybe your engineers/techs could find a solution to Ruger's problem with the sights on the Carbine, mine came way off as the rear sight is installed crooked and upon further inspection maybe the front sight is too. it's way too hard to remove them myself, I will not send this carbine back to Ruger and wait months to get it back and the way things are going in Washington I might never get it back. I installed a red dot sight and my groups improved 100 . I also installed a Magpul take down stock, a heads up for all you Senior Citizens with arthritis the Magpul G21 mag fits like a glove in the stock, so well I couldn't get it out with my hands being so bad, had to use a small screw driver ,suggest you stick to a G17 mag, or sand the stock ( a little at a time) to loosen the tension on the G21 mag now I can get it out ok . oh, another thing for a Senior Citizen to contend with is the take down itself, I have a real hard time pushing up on the lock to release the for end from the stock, I'm not going to mess with this, just live with it , if someone has found a fix for this please let me know, (a weaker spring maybe) . what do the experts at MCARBO suggest ?? thank you for listening , I feel us Seniors who still like to shoot sometimes get left out as we get older by the Gun industry , we still love shooting and I don't remember cancelling my Oath when I got out of the Military, it's still good till I die. keep up the good work Brothers .

Unfortunately, there were some factory changes made by Ruger that deemed our springs not effective, which is why they have been discontinued. The rest of our upgrades will fit and function properly with the factory springs!
