Great Trigger Spring Kit
The trigger spring kit was fairly easy to install after watching the video. My accuracy improved with the reduced trigger pull. Not having to pull a stronger trigger, helped me keep the gun on target.
What I hoped for
I installed this spring kit along with the extra heavy recoil spring and what a great difference. Went from a 7 lb trigger pull to a little over 4 lbs. The heavy recoil spring definitely helps with muzzle flip.
No significant reduction in trigger pull as advertised.
Micro 9 (9mm) replacement kit installed by my certified gunsmith resulted in no noticeable reduction of trigger pull. Initial trigger pull 7lbs. 2 oz. and after installation of spring kit a disappointing 6lbs. 7oz.
Very disappointed with the trigger pull reduction results,,, nowhere near the advertised results.
No improvement
I was very excited to buy and get the product.
I got a micro9 kit. Install is a little time consuming. Video helps. But trigger pull is 6.5 pounds consistently. I wanted 4
So I spent the money and no improvement.

Just finished installing my upgrade while following the 2023 YouTube video
All went very well two tips when installing the silver piece make sure it is all the way against the breach wall. This helps with the ejector install which is tricky lining up for the dowel
After all you a done I am extremely pleased with the trigger pull now
Don’t wait for your warranty to run out to install this upgrade. You will enjoy this great gun much more

I purchased the kit for my Kimber Micro and did the install following he video. All was easy and pretty straightforward and all the system checks worked. Went to the range to try it out and after racking the round and depressing the trigger it won’t fire. The hammer drops but the pin obviously isn’t hitting the primer. Doesn’t appear to be a light strike and this is a brand new unfired weapon. Where’d I go wrong? It’s got to be something simple.
I just ran into the exact same issue. From what I've researched it sounds like the hammer spring is too light. I'm just going to go back to the factory hammer spring to see if that fixes the issue... It likely will.

Why take the extractor out couldn’t you just bend the sear spring back a little bit to get it to go in?
There are different ways you can install the parts is up to the person who is installing the kit and how they think it is better to install it.
Will the 380 spring kit work on a colt mustang?

We haven't tested it specifically on the Mustang, but the internals are similar.
How many Kimber micro 9mm kits have been sold and where can I read input from those who have done the actual install to get a feel from those people if it truly made any difference.

No. The 380 Kit is different than the 9mm version.
will this spring kit fit the kimber Evo line?
The EVO line is striker fired instead of hammer, and operates differently. They are not compatible
Has this kit always included the sear spring or was it added I don't remember replacing that price in my micro 9.? Done this spring kit a while ago.

Is there a downside to not installing the upgraded sear spring? I have a brand new Kimber Micro 9 with only 100 rounds through it.

We recommend installing all springs in the kit to maintain safe and consistent functioning while getting the best results possible. Our trigger pull reduction listed for this kit can only be obtained with the full kit installed.
Will installing the spring kit reduce the force to pull the slide back? My wife has weak wrists. Do you sell softer recoil springs?
No, this spring kit will not affect the force required to pull the slide back. Unfortunately we do not offer any lighter recoil springs for this firearm. Each model is slightly different, but lightening a recoil spring too much could cause the slide to not cycle properly.

Hey my wife just got the black ice micro 9 and I just ordered the spring kit. I just pulled the pistol apart and you don’t need to remove the ambi safety to install this kit just draw the safety back all the way to remove the hammer. Also you don’t need to remove the t10 screw on the mag extension just remove the pin on the hammer spring housing .
