2nd M*Carbo spring kit
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
A year or two ago I got a trigger spring kit for my Hellcat. Very satisfying experience and result. So I decided to upgrade my VP9. I am familiar with German engineering and tolerances from times past: they can be difficult. Also I suffered a stroke 5 years ago rendering my left hand less than productive. Nevertheless, I decided to try the trigger kit. Shying away from such things isn't in my makeup. Although some pins very tight, I soon had the gun apart. The safety spring was truly problematic. This of course isn't M*Carbo's fault. My safety latch just wouldn't catch and hold that little spring! So, being very careful, I used my Dremel to put a small groove in the dimple that holds the spring. That worked well. The rest of the parts reinstalled pretty easily. Although I haven't fired the HK yet, the trigger pull is much lighter than before. The video was a lifesaver for me and enabled a successful reassembly despite my handicapped left arm. Great job on the video!
VP 9 Spring Kit

the VP 9 spring kit was easy to install. The tutorials online were very helpful with tips on the procedure to reassemble the trigger spring and sear spring.
Had some difficulty. But worked it out in the end so read on.

I followed the video instructions and had an issue with the small half pin that is above the trigger as it was in there solid. Had I pried any more I would have broken the plastic gun body. Yet I did manage to install the trigger spring without its removal. Next I installed the rear small spring by carefully getting the rear assembly out at an angle. I went to the range and found that the trigger was way too light and dangerous. I was shooting and it fired by itself during recoil. I took it home and put the original rear spring back in and did another test at the range. This time it was just right and now safe to use. I still think that this upgrade was well worth the effort. Even though it gave me hell. I think the only reason I was able to accomplish it, is because of my automotive mechanical experience and picks and tools I have. I only hope that others don't run into the pin that won't come out like mine. Its not worth breaking the gun over if you can't get it to come out, even with heat and lube. It's not MCARBO"S fault that HK put that pin in so tight. I think the kit is a great value and improvement overall. If you too run into a hard case pin I say, take it to a pro and let them install the kit. Good luck with yours! You can always try to remove that pin first before ordering your kit. Its never worth breaking your gun body!

I installed three kits in a hour. VP9 Match, VP9 and VP9SK all three are OR. (If you’re careful you can skip the pita step which is to remove the middle metal bracket.) The YouTube video is great for the full takedown.

The installation video was very helpful - had a hard time getting the trigger pin to release but everything else went fine - trigger pull was reduced to a little under 4#'s so it was right where you said it should be - very happy with the whole process - definitely would recommend buying this kit & watching the install video...
Very Effective

Initially turned my vp9 trigger into mush, but later realized I had locking block issues. After polishing disco and trigger bar, the lower pwr mcarbo springs complimented the work. Sear and striker engagement still crispy after 1 year installation and use. Good stuff.
Great Set
review-star review-star review-star review-star review-star
Installed this on my optics ready VP9. As long as you follow the videos on you tube for installation, it is pretty simple until the very last step. Having the right plyers and patience the spring will go in. Took it to the range. Works great!
I have heard some people complain about the trigger reset being weak. I did not have any problems.
