I couldnt take my collar off or remove the c rings from the safety seitch with mkne. Turned out to be useless.

Disappointed

The wrench is useless for me. The pronged end for c- clip removal is useless and doesn't work. It's much easier to simply use two pocket screwdrivers or sonething similiar. Also be sure you need this wrench. MY SUB 2K castle nut is plastic and can be hand removed. They wrench doesn't even fit on the nut anywhere, rendering the wrench useless again. This was partly my fault for not checking first. I'm going to try to return it. We'll see how that goes. MCARBO makes some useful stuff. Just make sure it works for you first.

Does not fit all KEL-TEC SUB-2000 collars

I recently purchases a KEL-TEC SUB-2000 [multi mag] and this wrenches does not fit my KEL-TEC SUB-2000 collar- it appears KEL-TEC changed the SUB2000 collar design and the collar lugs do not match the wrench.  In fact the collar is now easily removed with a quarter twist....the wrench is a good overall design, but MCarbo needs to update the product description to highlight which applications it will work with.

This is an excellent product for the older model collars BUT it DOES NOT fit the new collars that Kel Tec is coming out with.

First off I cannot say enough good things about M-Carbo ; very fast shipping, great staff and attentive to the needs of their customers. I upgraded my Sub2000 Multi-Mag to the Glock version as well as most of the internal parts including this one. M-Carbo is hands down the best source of aftermarket parts for your Sub2000 that I have been able to find online ; even better than Kel-Tec themselves

Does what it is supposed to do. It is a tool. It works. Invaluable for removing the castle nut without banging it up, and the eclip tool works well too. Threw mine in my range bag just in case.

Great concept

Great concept but only needed the E-clip removal and wrench end for my purpose. The E-clip removal end was a bit to large and ended up having to use my needle nose instead. Great upgrade parts but the tool needs a bit of adjustment on the E-clip end.

Received my wrench today I was also one of the first people to ask mcarbo to create a wrench, it's amazing they actually did it the quality is outstanding very thick and heavy duty metal no flimsy thin crap. My only concern is the bigger muzzle brake hole fits perfect on my gen 2 9MM sub 2000 but the smaller muzzle brake hole doesn't fit. So is the bigger muzzle brake hole suppose to fit the 40S&W sub 2000 and the smaller one suppose to fit the 9MM. If so my wrench only works for 9MM even though I do not have a 40S&W sub 2000. But the wrench is suppose to have that capability. I don't know if this is kel-tec's mistake for the wrong nut on the muzzle or mcarbo's mistake. But anyway the wrench does work on the gun. Or maybe the smaller one is for gen 1 sub 2000's I don't know, I don't have a 40S&W gen 1 or 2 to test this on or a gen 1 9MM to test either. Just my gen 2 9MM.

How did you live without one

Given my research before my Sub-2000 purchase, without this tool it was a severe pain to remove open up this fire arm. Glad my first experience in opening my Sub was with this wrench. Classic armorer's tool for the Kel-Tec. Nice functional/practical design.

I wanted to give it a 5*

I love how it makes getting the collar on/off a breeze. It's perfect in that regard. I have not used it for taking off the muzzle brake. I do not like using it for taking off the safety clips. It was very difficult and I ended up using needle nose pliers to twist the clips off. It's more effective than it may sound. It just seems like the teeth that were meant to assist the clips out are too thick. You can't really get much leverage with it since the teeth are too thick, don't flex, and if this wrench gets away from you, it will definitely scratch the polymer. Maybe if the "C" area was slightly wider, so that it could push the clip ends to the middle of the bolt easier. To be fair, perhaps there's some technique to using it easier, but either way I take away a star since this feature is not user friendly. It was pretty handy for putting the clips back on the bolt, but taking the clips off I prefer other common tools. I'd buy this again though if I lost this one, but it would be nice if this piece was perfected like the collar removal portion.

Worth every penny. The collar to the "buffer" assembly is really torqued down from the factory. Without this tool, good luck breaking it free without wrecking or at least scratching it.

The Armorer's Wrench snapped the collar loose after much pressure was applied. I expected some scratches after that...surprisingly it didn't leave a mark.

I'll be able to re-install the collar easily with this tool.

...simple as that. Hoorah Vets.

Must have tool

Very nice tool to remove the collar on the sub2K with no marring whatsoever. I wasn't too keen on using a punch and a hammer, although I did it that way the first time I broke the gun down with no marring or issues either, but all it takes is one slip. The end used to remove the c-clips from the safety bolt would be nice if it had an indent or cut out in the C of the tool so that it can't slip off the c-clip itself. I believe this would help, but still a must have tool and no complaints.
