Review
I did everything to my LCP Max at the same time. This trigger is better - and the pre travel adjustment is nice. But the trigger weight and feel really didn't change. Only measurable change was less pre travel.
I’m going to leave a review for the trigger but I bought everything. I did not fire the lcp max in its stock configuration just dry fire it a few times. And yes trigger pinch (ouch) . Took it home and disassembled it cleaned it and put all the goodies on. I went with the 12lbs hammer spring so no light primer strikes. All of these parts are grade A much better than stock. Now I have a nice 4.6 lb trigger pull very smooth and a nice short reset. Took the max to the range and it was 100% reliable with hollow points and ball ammo. Shoot hollow points first (gold dots) because if it was going to have malfunction it would be with HP not ball ammo. Just buy it all you will be glad you did. Thanks Mcarbo you make some great stuff.
WOW ! What a dramatic improvement the Mcarbo trigger made in my LCP 2. It reduced the trigger pull delay enough to make a close quarter encounter more likely to be survivable.
Just bought your MCARBO LCP II Flat Trigger and springs replacement kits; followed your installation videos with no problems. Adjusted the trigger to reduce the trigger pull then took it to the range today. OMG what a difference. That little pistol sat unused for many years quite frankly because the long trigger pull made it almost impossible to hit a decent shot pattern at 20 feet. It also pinched the crap out of my trigger finger. Well no more. Although my shot pattern at 20ft isn’t that of my 9mm Sig P325X, I’m totally blown away with the improvement. Now if you could get me a Flat Trigger for my LC380 (already replaced the springs with those that I bought from MCARBO which helped some) I would bring it out of retirement too. Thanks Jesse
I had purchased a trigger for my P365 Xmacro so when I saw this trigger for the LCP Max, this is an upgrade it had to buy. Problem is since I have the California version and it comes with the Magazine disconnect im not sure if its compatible now. Can someone help me in figuring out if its compatible or if its not does anyone know if they are making a California complaint version like how they did with the P365 series.
I usually carry a S&W shield plus but saw lots of reviews on the LCP Max and thought smaller lighter would be a nice change. After purchasing and going to the range I was not impressed. The trigger was terrible and pinched every shot. The long stroke was tolerable but the 8lb pull kept me off target. I was going to trade the gun away when a friend told me about M Carbo. I bought every upgrade they make trigger, spring kit, recoil spring, take down pin the works. Every piece was a perfect fit, easy to install and huge improvement. At the range with a 5-pound trigger pull no pinching and a little less recoil I was able to put two rounds on target. All these upgrades a well worth it. I'll be keeping my MAX.
I'm 78 years old and the original trigger hurt my finger and I didn't like the feel of it. I have the original LCP and it's trigger was better than the MAX. Bought your trigger kit, had a gunsmith install it and what a difference. It now feels just like a trigger should feel. No shot hesitation, etc. Great value for 59 bucks! Mike H.
No more pinch and I don't lock up safety sliding my finger onto trigger. Install was easy with the video. I also installed spring kits. The quality of the parts is excellent, shipping fast and pricing is good. I've been very happy with the sales and service from MCarbo. Can't ask for more than that.
I purchased the Ruger LCP2 Trigger, Spring kit, and SS rod. All were promptly shipped and the day they arrived I installed them. The installation videos are excellent and really speed up the process. I have been doing my own trigger jobs for about 50 years and really like the ease, quality, support, and price of M*CARBO products, and have been using them since they started into business. They have really speed-ed up the process for me!
Easy to install and adjust, With the installation of this trigger and the spring kit, makes this weapon very accurate. Because the weapon is small and light, a long trigger pull and trigger pressure diminishes the accuracy. With the installation of these two upgrades that problem is solved. Getting rid of the trigger bite is nice too. Customer service and the videos make the process easy for anyone moderately handy.
My wife bought me the hammer and spring kit, for Christmas. More expensive than the parts I bought for my 365s, but brought the trigger pull weight down from 8# to 4 1/2#. Now, they need to engineer a new sear/hammer so that when you pull the trigger it is a true single action. Presently, when you pull the trigger on a LCP Max, you’re actually pushing the hammer back about 1/8” which is why you probably can’t get the trigger pull any better. I suppose the lawyers at Ruger thought it was a good idea
