Great Trigger Upgrade, especially with the LCP Max Trigger Spring Kit and Stainless Steel Guide Rod

The M Carbo LCP Max Flat Trigger kit tremendously improved the comfort of shooting the pistol. I bought a competitor's product which fell apart the first time at the range. The M Carbo trigger was much better designed and was easier to install. When combined with the M Carbo Trigger Spring Kit and Stainless Steel Guide Rod (with the additional of a Hogue LCP II Beaver Tail Grip) made shooting 10 rounds at the range not only possible, but a surprisingly comfortable experience (especially with the 10 lbs. Hammer Spring installed).

Great Trigger!

This may be the best upgrade i have ever installed. Pair this with the spring kit and you will see a huge improvement. Well worth it!

This trigger is a genuine enhancement to my LCP Max shooting experience. First, I get no residual finger pad soreness from shooting a few magazines of rounds like I did with the stock trigger. Secondly, the tailorable trigger pretravel is way much more to my liking. Full disclosure: I added the lightened spring kit at the same time (I went with the 10 lb. hammer spring), so the entirety of my impressions are influenced by that change as well. Still, I'm glad I did both modifications. Shooting is comfortable, consistent, and dependable, which is exactly how it should be. I'd do it all again if I need another Ruger LCP Max.

Great upgrade for Ruger LCP 2

I have concerns

The trigger itself feels nice. My problem is with the set screw. After having the trigger out for two range days. ( about 300rd) i have noticed the set screw hitting the frame of my lcp max. It has a nice shiny spot. ( i have yet to take it apart to see if its dented the frame of my gun).... i dont understand why M-Carbo just didn't make a shelf on the trigger instead of the set screw which seem kinda sketchy. Could fall out. Or now seen over time could possibly brake the frame of my lpc max. Until they com up with something different i would recommended Google for a different trigger with no set screw...

This was the first trigger replacement I have done; almost an experiment. The instructional video was very good, but needed more explanation of the firearm part process. Play, rewind, stop, rewind, ... but I got through. Noticed the size of the original trigger spring was much larger than the replacement springs. Took the Ruger LCP Max to the range, and it worked! Reset screw could have been longer to shorten reset. Thank you

Just buy it all

I’m going to leave a review for the trigger but I bought everything. I did not fire the lcp max in its stock configuration just dry fire it a few times. And yes trigger pinch (ouch) . Took it home and disassembled it cleaned it and put all the goodies on. I went with the 12lbs hammer spring so no light primer strikes. All of these parts are grade A much better than stock. Now I have a nice 4.6 lb trigger pull very smooth and a nice short reset. Took the max to the range and it was 100% reliable with hollow points and ball ammo. Shoot hollow points first (gold dots) because if it was going to have malfunction it would be with HP not ball ammo. Just buy it all you will be glad you did. Thanks Mcarbo you make some great stuff.

WOW ! What a dramatic improvement the Mcarbo trigger made in my LCP 2. It reduced the trigger pull delay enough to make a close quarter encounter more likely to be survivable.

LCP II Flat Trigger and a Springs Replacement Kits

Review

Just bought your MCARBO LCP II Flat Trigger and springs replacement kits; followed your installation videos with no problems. Adjusted the trigger to reduce the trigger pull then took it to the range today. OMG what a difference. That little pistol sat unused for many years quite frankly because the long trigger pull made it almost impossible to hit a decent shot pattern at 20 feet. It also pinched the crap out of my trigger finger. Well no more. Although my shot pattern at 20ft isn’t that of my 9mm Sig P325X, I’m totally blown away with the improvement. Now if you could get me a Flat Trigger for my LC380 (already replaced the springs with those that I bought from MCARBO which helped some) I would bring it out of retirement too. Thanks Jesse

I usually carry a S&W shield plus but saw lots of reviews on the LCP Max and thought smaller lighter would be a nice change. After purchasing and going to the range I was not impressed. The trigger was terrible and pinched every shot. The long stroke was tolerable but the 8lb pull kept me off target. I was going to trade the gun away when a friend told me about M Carbo. I bought every upgrade they make trigger, spring kit, recoil spring, take down pin the works. Every piece was a perfect fit, easy to install and huge improvement. At the range with a 5-pound trigger pull no pinching and a little less recoil I was able to put two rounds on target. All these upgrades a well worth it. I'll be keeping my MAX.

Love the new trigger for my LCP MAX!

I'm 78 years old and the original trigger hurt my finger and I didn't like the feel of it. I have the original LCP and it's trigger was better than the MAX. Bought your trigger kit, had a gunsmith install it and what a difference. It now feels just like a trigger should feel. No shot hesitation, etc. Great value for 59 bucks!
