Made a huge difference in trigger pull and accuracy. Great product. I'd do this update before spending money on a new trigger.
I have a fully custom hellcat pro and the best game changing upgrades I did for it is this striker assembly kit with the springs, paired with an apex tactical trigger. Best trigger I have on any pistol even more than my $3400 sig p320 build. It’s got such a crisp and strong wall and break, and the reset is perfect. Also if you haven’t get a hogue rubber handall grip it’s like $15 and makes a huge difference
The stock striker on my Springfield Hellcat broke after several years and a few thousand rounds; the very tip of the firing pin broke off while I was dry-firing it and fell out of the end of the barrel. I was having trouble finding a stock replacement, and stumbled across this M*CARBO upgraded striker assembly. At first I thought the M*CARBO striker upgrade was a bit pricey, but after having the stock striker break after only a few thousand rounds, I thought it was worthwhile to try M*CARBO's lighter titanium striker to see if it held up better. Installation was a breeze for the striker assembly and striker safety spring, and both fit perfectly into the slide. The sear spring is a little trickier to install, but M*CARBO has helpful YouTube videos walking you through disassembly of the frame parts and installation of the lighter sear spring step-by-step. I have only had one range trip since installing the upgraded striker assembly and only shot a couple hundred rounds, but the pistol ran great with no failures. As the attached picture indicates, the lighter striker, striker spring, and striker safety spring seem to noticeably reduce firing pin drag on primers; the case on the left was fired with a stock striker and the case on the right was fired with the M*CARBO titanium striker assembly. The trigger pull seemed a bit lighter, but I still had the stock plastic trigger in my gun at the range. I have since bought the M*CARBO flat trigger MOD-2 upgrade, and that made a big difference in the smoothness and pre-travel of the trigger. If you are on the fence about buying both the M*CARBO striker assembly and trigger upgrades for the Hellcat, I would recommend just getting the bundle with both to save $5. After putting everything together, I think they are all quality parts and a worthwhile performance upgrade. Plus, you have to remove the whole trigger assembly to install the sear spring, so you may as well just upgrade the trigger while you have the frame disassembled.
I purchased a Hellcat Pro and was totally disgusted with its trigger. Springfield should be ashamed to put out such a bad trigger. The MCarbo striker upgrade has made a vast improvement. It reduced creep by about 25% and aided in an overall better pull. MCarbo is saving the HellCat !
Installed the striker upgrade today. I can feel the difference just dry firing my Hellcat Pro. Can't wait to test it at the range. Should have gotten the trigger upgrade as well but didn't think I needed it. Well, I'm so happy with the striker, I went ahead and ordered the trigger. Thank you MCarbo!
I just changed out my hellcat with this unit and WOW is all I'm going to say!!!. Goin to the range tomorrow. P.S. the Video showing how to put it together was easy to follow, just like he said the sear spring must be paid deep attention to, and my hands look like his, because I work also. Thank You, I hated the pull on this thing but the size, feel, and recoil was perfect. When I get my girl one, I'll change everything out before I give to her. Thanks again.
I had my eye on this product for a minute but my hellcat pro had already a aftermarket trigger already installed. I was hesitant to place both items since the trigger was not MCarbo. I did some research and talked to a gunsmith. Since the two are totally separate and the striker had its own springs I gave it a shot. I now with I had tried it earlier. The wall placement is way more positive and the break is noticeably lighter. Don’t hesitate getting this product.
Chances are you've been looking at this upgrade more than a few times wondering, "Is it really worth it?" The answer is a resounding YES! The installation is easy, and the striker assembly makes a noticeable, positive difference when firing the Hellcat. As much as I loved my Hellcat I was not impressed with the trigger pull; it was a great EDC firearm cursed with just a functional trigger. The trigger felt like there was too much slop to uptake before the wall, the weight of the trigger pull at the wall was slightly too heavy, and despite that heavy weight the resulting break both felt, and sounded, "mushy" (best way I can describe that). The M*Carbo Springfield Hellcat Titanium Performance Striker Assembly fixes ALL of those and then some. The trigger now feels smooth and quick, with a weight that's neither too heavy nor too light for an EDC while still providing a definitive wall before a clean, very crisp, and extremely satisfying break you can feel and hear thanks to the upgraded seer geometry. Who knew a little angle could make a big difference? Clearly, M*Carbo knows their firearms. This part also addresses the known issue some Hellcats have with either the OEM plastic striker guide fracturing after repeated use, or the OEM striker itself breaking into pieces (Google both). NOT something you want to have happen EVER. Whether causing a light strike and delayed fire or failure to fire that's dangerous, or in a life or death situation when equipment failure could be deadly. If you're like me, you've probably looked at this upgrade more than a few times. After pulling the trigger (dad joke intended) on this, knowing what I know now it would have been my very first upgrades. It's a great product, well made, AMERICAN made, from a veteran owned business - it's worth every penny! You will not be disappointed!
