Out with the original part, in with newer Heavy Duty STRESS-PROOF takedown pin. One can see the beefier head on the M-Carbo part. Clicks right in in seconds. ccs
Part was definitely more substantial than original. Was not as described in video but installed very easy.
The new take down pin is a vast improvement over the original manufacturer pin. Communication and delivery was excellent thanks guys
Replaced original takedown pin in my LCP max with MCARBO’S new designed takedown pin. The pin is about.020 thousands thicker at the head of the pin. Will be a lot better than the stock pin which I have heard of them breaking. It is a good solid pin.

heard about mcarbo from a friend so i checked them out and found the take down pin and stainless guide rod so i got them for my wife's new lcp max they came very quickly and installed with no problems and work great now I'm just waiting for mcarbo to make a trigger spring kit for the lcp max because it is very heavy and i don't want my wife to not like the gun because of the trigger pull she really likes it now but not the trigger pull so we will wait thank you very much for your good products
Great little pistol, the MCARBO upgrades are excellent. Well worth the addition in comparison to the factory parts. Next level engineering.

Having just installed this item I can't really give it a complete review. It does appear that the head of the pin is sturdier than the original pin. The only negative I have (and it may not be an issue) is that the pin is slightly shorter than the original. Time will tell if that may be an issue.
Honestly I was hesitant to purchase this part. I thought the original did the job right? Well, this little pin changes the entire feel of the gun...don't know how, but it feels much more stable when racking the slide. Couple this with the SS guide rod and I feel like my LCP Max went from good to great! The service at M-carbo is outstanding, I will definitely be a returning customer.

Changed this pin out on my LCP MAX and the difference between the original one and the M-CARBO one is easily seen. Doesn't alter the function of the pistol, but I can see how it will stop a possible malfunction, well worth the money!
Put in the aftermarket pin and my slide jammed to the rear!! Started to pry the barrel pin out and it slammed into battery! Slide is rubbing the pin! Texted, emailed, emailed again support and crickets!! No one there! Just out some money on a crack pot idea! Yulsammitysam!
I installed this at the same time as all other available springs and trigger because there's really no reason not to. Now, I have the factory pin as a back-up just case I lose this one, and this pin just adds that little bit of extra reliability for such a small price in money and effort.
When you compared the Mcarbo take down pin to the old one side by side you could really see the beafyness of the Mcarbo one. I also installed at the same time the Stainless guide rod and together both parts functioned perfect for 150 rounds with zero issues. Slide was definitely smoother when you cocked the slide.
I currently have all the upgrades available from M*Carbo in my Ruger. I carry the Ruger most of the summer as my EDC in shorts weather. The pistol has a 3 pound trigger and is equivalent to larger pistol’s accuracy wise. The upgrades made my favorite Ruger the choice for constant use.
