Trigger and Spring kit upgrade

Worth the cost. Improved trigger pull from 5.5lbs to 4lbs. Action is much smoother than the OEM trigger and springs. I also followed Chris's recommendation on polishing and then polished some more. I actually polished inside the firing pin housing as both the stock sleeve and new stainless sleeve seemed gritty and draggy. I also polished both sides of the sear. Seemed to make a difference in how smooth the trigger felt.

Area for Improvement: I challenge Chris to get a video out on the trigger replacement and include polishing. Your videos are a big help and one of the main reasons I purchase from Mcarbo. It was fairly straightforward after Tech Support gave me some info. I'll include that here in case anyone else is interested.

Trigger Install Guidance From MCarbo Tech Support: With the trigger and trigger bar sitting in the trigger tool push the trigger bar all the way up. Then insert and begin rotating the set screw. Once you feel the screw make contact with the trigger bar, give one or two more rotations. Install the trigger assembly back into the firearm and test the trigger pull. if you want to get rid of a little more take the trigger assembly back out of the firearm and twist the set screw 1 or 2 more times. Repeat this process until you are satisfied with the amount of pre-travel.

Note: If the safety blade starts to hit the frame when you pull the trigger then set screw is too far in and needs to be backed out more. Trigger safety is designed to stop the trigger from being pulled Right Before the trigger bar interacts with the safety plunger. It always needs two forms of safety engagement.

Just finished the trigger spring kit and flat trigger upgrade. Went smooth and easy. Maybe after a few firings go back and do some polishing. Hitting the range this weekend to see how it all feels. So far I am just as pleased with it as I am with the spring upgrades on my Beretta. You make a great product and I tell everyone about it, just as someone did me.

Didn't have a problem with the factory trigger on my hellcat, but pretravel and reset were more than I like. The mod2 trigger has that good feeling of connection with my finger, I have everything set the way I like. Coupled with the spring kit it's perfect. And it's made out of aluminum instead of plastic.

Truly quality part

Installed this today along with the spring/striker sleeve kit. Noticeably better feel on the finger and much better take up and incredibly quicker reset. Impossible to replicate any hang up from a lateral pull. Not being a gunsmith, it took me a bit to figure out how best to pin it to the trigger bar, instructions or a quick video would've helped. Not into flash so all black all good.

Warning for safety models, but good trigger.

Way better quality than the factory trigger, the take-up adjustment is nice(make sure you have the slide on before you assume the safety blade will catch the frame) .

If you have a Hellcat model with a safety, unless I did something wrong(I don’t believe I did) if you try to take out a lot of the trigger take up by adjusting the screw far enough in, it moves the trigger bar enough to where the part of the trigger bar that’s inside the seer housing is pushed back enough and blocks the safety from engaging. I had to loosen the screw quite a bit to get the safety to engage.

All that said and done, it’s still a good upgrade in my opinion, and if it were my gun I’d run it tighter disabling the safety anyways, but it’s not so it is what it is. Happy with the trigger.

Unlike the previous reviewer, I could not get the MCARBO trigger to lock-up with an improper finger placement, and the install was as easy as a reload.

What happened to the MCARBO I knew and loved?

Bought the flat trigger for the Hellcat, even though I couldn’t review installation video (because there wasn’t one) ahead of time. Figured I’d get a paper addendum or something … but NADA. It cam with a jig, presumable to set the travel, but no instructions on how to use or set the travel. Then, I tried to put in the super small hex screw and discovered I didn’t have an Allen wrench that small. So, I called and was told use the jig to put in set screw .. bottom out and back out 3-4 threads. When I asked what the Allen wrench size was, gunsmith said 1/16”, but there was no way! Even a .05” was too big, so called again and they said .035mm, of which they meant inches, but they swear it was mm. When I asked why they didn’t include the micro-allen wrench they apologized and said they would send one. So, trigger has been sitting on my bench for 3 days and will be there another couple min. What happened to the old MCARBO where everything was thought out and any/all tools provided in the kit. Seems like they are shooting from the hip on this one.

Works as expected but no instructions but able to install the pre-travel screw (0.9mm hex key)

Insanely crisp trigger for hellcat pro. Apex will not be to correct spec so this is the only trigger I know of that currently fits hellcat prop and improves it!
