I just installed the heavy duty mag release clip spring in a LCP2 .22 Lite Rack gun and it was a snap ECCEPT for the little spring. I struggled for 15 minutes, then made a tool out od a little 3/16 flat screwdrive and a Dremel to cut the notch. Worked perfectly immediately! Then I found they had a tool! BUY THE TOOL. 3.00 will save 50 dollars worth of aggravation!
This little notched tool is perfect for replacing tiny springs and makes your job so much easier. I stole their idea and went out to the shop, and took have a dozen flat screw drivers and notched them for various size springs... Still, probably the most important springs I will work with are on my guns and this tool does the job. Worth it IMHO! BDU
Used this to change the springs on my .38 J-frame. Could not have accomplished the job without it. Don't cheap out, spend the $3 and thank me later.
Instead of the tool with the notch cut out they sent me a flathead screwdriver, which I ended up filing a "v" notch in to. I emailed them, not to return or replace the item, to let them know they sent me... well, a flathead screwdriver so as to let their QC know. No reply. Would be nice to know they're customers input is valued. I won't be back.
Really nice, will be easy to keep in range bag. Typical Mcarbo high quality. I would like the handle to be a little longer, but it's not a deal breaker. Highly recommended
Makes work so much easier!
This is a great little tool, helps with those tricky springs. Definitely worth the purchase!
Handy tool. Glad I purchased it when working on my sig. you need to get one.
Great little tool, comes in handy
A must have. for only $2.95 you can make your insolation, and life much easier.
Perfect tool for its job. Strong, well designed and effective.
Very helpful when working with FCU springs
You can never have enough quality gunsmithing tools when you want to have the ability to properly tear down, and rebuild your weapons, and when it comes to keeping springs from popping up in your face, this is a tool of necessity. Works as designed. Just wish it were made by M*Carbo instead of SMT Tactical... (hint?)
I agree with, "Save your Sanity not a couple bucks"!
I have made these before, but this was much easier and priced for what it is. If it breaks (and it didn't) it was there when I needed it and it isn't price prohibitive to own.
Bought this after seeing it used in the Sig P365 Trigger installation video. It was smaller then I expected but worked as it was suppose to. It made removing and reinstalling the spring effortless. At this price point, there is no reason not to add it on to your order.
