Review
Product and service are excellent
good service, well made item
Found that with younger shooters the stock parts are not ergonomically suited for them. Switched them out and now I have to “fight” for my turn with my son.
I always like replacing parts with a better/metal part when I can. Easy installation. Good instructions/video.
My 76 year old father bought a kel tec pmr 30 and had trouble working the slide release with this new one it's so much easier good product works great !
My origional one broke off and I replaced it with this one. Much stronger and better quality. Would recoment this to anyone useing this firearm.
Great addition for the pmr30. Easy install just be careful the screws are so so small and would be easy to lose. Mcarbo supplies extra screws. Follow video and definitely use lock tight onthreads
Got my new slide stop in, it amazes me that anyone can make an allen set screw so small! I also didn't realize the plastic one just slipped off so easily. Another nice upgrade to make my baby run flawlessly, thanks Mcarbo!!
Bought this and installed it because...well, because the argument of the plastic original potentially flying off during operation was sound. Plus, this one feels much better than the original. Install was very easy.
This item was as good as stated, well made, good finish, and easy to follow instructions, and fast shipping. My order was on back order for a few days but then very fast shipping.
This was an excellent upgrade to the stock slide stop. My stock slide stop was so difficult to initiate a release of the slide that I actually cut my thumb doing it. When I saw the MCarbo slide stop, I knew I had to have it. I was not disappointed and it was very easy to install.
The stock slide "lock" was not very well thought out. It's a piece of plastic that basically just snaps on. The MCarbo version is better in several ways. The material is metal. The feel and design makes it easier to manipulate and its all locked into place with an ingenious set of micro set screws. This a great little upgrade.
I have since childhood built hundreds of kits and PC boards, so working with these tiny set screws wasn't new, although these are REALLY small, and at 74, my hands and eyes need help. I put a single screw under my Celestron microscope so I could see the point on the screw. I then used my finger to orient the point to my left, and inserted the allen wrench from the right. A bit of locktite on the threads, and started them both on the replacement piece. Slid it on, and tightened the screws. It wasn't as hard as I thought it would be, but if you are not used to working with small parts, get a kid to help.
Just installed slide stop on my PMR 30. Quality part and easy to install.
It's out of stock!
If you have owned your PMR for more than one range session you know that slide stop is abysmal, and has likely fallen off. This is an essential purchase, both merely to retain the damn things, and for the added surface area it gives you to thumb.
