An improvement over the plastic. It just feels better. This is the second slide stop I purchased. The 1st one was installed by Kel-Tec with the complete upgrade kit and it came off during my 4th mag. Got lost in the grass and I had to buy another one. I called Kel-Tec and they told me they do not use loctite on the tiny screws. I put the 2nd one on myself and used loctite. Still there after 12 mags fired
I installed the aluminum slide on my PMR 30 and it fit well. However, one of the set screws was not manufactured properly in that it was malformed at the allen wrench insertion point. No biggie. Additionally I have purchased all the upgrades McCarbo offers and found them to be of good quality. The videos are a super big help in replacing the new parts. Thanks, Dale Hartog
This little gem takes it to a new level. The original plastic version was hard to use and a pain for being able to dismount itself from firing the pistol. With the new and improved slide stop, you can actually use it. And since it is permanently attached with set screws, will not come off. Excellent improvement to the pistol.
I just put the aluminum slide stop on my Kel tec PMR 30. You really need to have is a good pair of magnifying glasses and a bright light. I used a magnetic cup along with an old white tee shirt so that if I did drop it I could spot it much easier. This worked fine for me. The screws are very, very tiny just like Chris said.
Installation was simple . It came with Allen wrench to do the job; thanks mcarbo. I also purchased the kit with all of the pmr upgrades, I highly recommend it.
This sure beats the plastic slide stop by a mile. Quick installation and the installation video was the best.
I recently ordered the after market slide stop/release for my Kel-Tec PMR 30. A friend of mine told me about MCARBO and how pleased he is with what he ordered. The product arrived in just a couple days. The factory slide stop popped right off with just a small flat-bladed screw driver. I put a very small amount of Gorilla Glue on the tiny screws and installed the new stop in about 5 minutes. Very easy installation. Just be sure to use a white cloth in case you drop one of the screws. The only question I have is how in the world do you make screws so small with threads? Going to my friend's private property in a couple days and try it out and I expect it to work as advertised. Thanks MCARBO for taking the worry out of shooting and possibly losing a part from your gun. I don't think I have to worry about losing this slide stop after running a couple magazines of 22 WMR.
I got the bundle for the PMR-30 was was really impressed. I hated the little plastic slide stop button. Hard to use and a finger buster. When I saw the video on this, I had to get it. Came in three days. Really fast shipping. Installation was very easy. A little bit of advice...the allen head screws are really tiny. Work over a white piece of paper so you can see them! Taking the plastic factory slide stop button off was easy. Small flat screwdriver was used. Installing was very easy. Aluminum stop button fit perfectly. New button comes with the two allen head screws and the allen head wrench. Add a little bit of locktite and tighten down the two screws....done! Feel of the new button is superior to the plastic version. Looking forward to the steel magazine. I have 4 of the plastic ones.....they work fine...but the steel ones should rock!!!!
this + the full upgrade kit (trigger, mag release, SS feed ramp) makes this a completely different gun. i have nothing but good things to say about this product, any of MCarbo's upgrades, or MCarbo themselves. quality parts from a quality company.
I ordered the new slide stop to prevent losing the plastic one on the range, parts arrived and installation was easy, pay close attention to the VERY SMALL SCREWS, as you could lose one very easily. I found that putting it on the wrench first mad things go a lot easier, they go in from the top. My only complaint is there were no instructions included, and for a newbie this could be a problem. Fortunately for me I have installed numerous parts from MCarbo and all worked as advertised! Good company with reliable parts and information, Thanks All!

Way easier to find and operate. Excellent quality. Heed the warning the screws are SMALL so be careful and don't drop them.
Makes a big difference in the slide stop. I can get my fingers on it now. I would recommend this if this all you do. It took me all of 5 minutes to install.....Just don't loose the screws or you will be screwed....LOL
