We love the width and feel of the trigger. Makes for a short solid pull. Add to it the reduced trigger pull spring kit and one has an even greater trigger on this little LCP.

The only negative thing we would like to see MCARBO fix/re-engineer is the side to side slop in the trigger when at rest. There is far too much "wiggle" side to side of the trigger in the trigger guard. It does not affect the great trigger pull but it just feels cheap. (Perhaps the trigger area inside the chassis could/should be slightly thicker to take up the slack?)

Huge Improvement

I recently installed the flat trigger, spring kit and upgraded pin in my new LCP. Prior to install, the stock trigger maxed out my old-school Lyman trigger gauge, which only goes to 8 lb.s. I would say the stock pull was close to 9# - and that was after putting some Flitz on the sear/hammer interface and dry firing a couple hundred times.

While it was apart, I went ahead and polished the trigger bar, hammer sides, and all pivot pins and points. All the parts installed easily and correctly. Just remember to put some blue loctite on the adjustment screws!

With all the new parts installed, my gauge consistently reads the pull at 5 lb.s. No, it's not the 3.5 that MCARBO says it will be, but it is a huge improvement. The flat trigger actually makes it feel less than that, with the added bonus of no more trigger slap! For a pocket carry gun, I like it right where it's at.

This trigger and the spring kit do a great job of transforming the LCP into a much better pistol!! Do it at the same time as the spring kit to same time and you will be astounded.

I'd Give it 4.99999 stars

So I didn't give it 5 stars

First off the installation was perfect

And I mean PERFECT the video was great they tell you EXACTLY how to do it

It's a metal trigger so there's no give like the spongy effect of the original plastic trigger

Again PERFECT

...

HOWEVER

The only color available is black

I'd like to get my wife interested in shooting

How in the world is that going to happen with a plain black trigger???

You've gotta have red and I mean RED with a cool pearlescent effect

or a pink or purple for the ladies

I know...

For a few dollars more

Even on a cheap $250 LCP you can spend a dollar or two and make it nice

Anyways

The other is at the very top of the trigger (and you've gotta pull at the very top, just right) there's a sharp corner that can grab your finger (and I mean just a tiny little bit)

But it is there (I added a photo of it)

...

Overall it's a MILLION times better than the original trigger

If you own an LCP you have to buy this amazing trigger

I purchased the Flat Trigger Kit, the LCP Spring Kit and the Takedown Pin. These parts truly transformed my LCP! Everyone knows the trigger that came from Ruger is absolutely horrible and made the LCP very difficult to shoot. No longer!

I just installed the Mcarbo parts listed above and instantly noticed an amazing transformation. The trigger is now smooth, trigger take-up is short and the trigger break is crisp. It no longer has that long dreadful long trigger pull. Trigger pull weight was reduced from a measured 6.5 lbs to 4.5 lbs. Last and certainly not least the wide flat trigger is well designed, comfortable along with perfect finger placement. The Mcarbo parts truly transform the LCP into a highly effective shootable pistol.

I just got back from the range and I put 50 rounds through it. Before the Mcarbo upgrade I could never get consistently tight groups and it was frustrating to shot. Tonight I consistently got tight groups for the first time ever it is now fun to shoot. More importantly I am now confident I can defend myself with my LCP and would be able to put the shots where necessary to stop the threat.

IF YOU OWN AN LCP YOU MUST GET THESE PARTS.

Just the best!

I purchased this kit, the spring kit and the take down pin. I watched the installation video twice and then installed all of the parts.

The installation was very easy thanks to the great video. Everything works perfectly and I am very happy with the results.

If you own an LCP, do yourself a favor and get these upgrades. My LCP is much much better now. I am super happy. Buy with confidence!

Purchased and installed the Ruger LCP trigger and spring kit. Install went well and only took thirty (30) minutes to complete. Very happy with the upgrade, trigger is very crisp and clean. I also completed the upgrade on my Kimber Micro 380 with the same results. Huge improvement on both triggers. Ruger LC9 will be next. You can not go wrong with the trigger kits. Thanks to all the folks at MCARBO!

Hi... I've already written a review sharing all that I experienced while installing all the springs; trigger; rods; etc. This can help others (I feel) when they upgrade this tiny firearm. One correction: The FLAT TRIGGER is aluminum and not plastic as I originally commented on... OK... I got to the range today and this little puppy fired & cycled flawlessly. 100 rounds (various ammo) and not one FTF or FTE. I trust the pistol now as a small EDC and I want to thank all the folks at M*CARBO for always answering the phone and being super helpful. Please find my other review for DIY help and good luck to all. Once you have everything you need laid out; expect about 3 to 4 hours to complete all mods which would include polishing the barrel feed ramp with FLITZ and a dremel or drill motor and greasing / oiling everything as you go. Also, I installed a Hogue LCP Grip Sleeve as well which "thickens" the overall thickness of the grip and this is also a very nice mod. Thanks all... Gene / Atlanta, GA

Perfect trigger for the LCP once you "dial it in." Smooth, consistent pull, and slightly reduced length. Great, safe, double action. Using the rest of the improvements available makes this the best pocket carry available. Once you polish the feed ramp you won't believe the difference! Very satisfied with MCARBO.

Already installed LCP spring kit with 7 to 4.5 lb. trigger pull reduction. Just ordered/installed flat trigger upgrade. Now getting about 3.2 lb. trigger pull. Very nice! Sorry, didn't measure travel reduction. The install video showed trigger adjustment before assembly, it would be helpful to show adjustment/tuning after install as well (forgive me if it's already in another video). Definitely do spring and trigger kit together. Suggestion on trigger pull testing: Purchased soft rubber/magnetic attachable bench vice pads for $8.00 or so. This really holds the slide nicely for quick rack and consistent trigger pull tests. Also added a larger rubber cylinder over thinner plastic mechanism on my pull weight tool. Consistent tool placement and pull technique really helped me.

I bought this trigger just to eliminate the "trigger bite" that I had with the stock trigger. I was not trying to change the pull or anything else. This trigger did eliminate the "trigger bite" that I had issues with. This will never be a range gun, but at least now I am willing to fire more than 2 magazines thru it twice a year.

This is the second trigger upgrade I have purchased for my LCP. The first trigger I bought had issues with the thru pin not being manufactured correctly and would not stay seated thereby causing serious issues. The trigger from MCarbo dropped right in adjusted perfectly. Currently there is no Mcarbo video for installation however if you do a web search search you can find one.

The trigger has side to side movement and you should have a video of how to set the travel on the trigger.

The LCP upgrade parts are fantastic. I did them all. The trigger is significantly better in all ways. Transformed a horrible original trigger to a very good one. I did some adjustment to the trigger after install, the take up is minimal, the pull is dramatically reduced the reset is not like my Target triggers but hey an LCP is NOT a target pistol. The video's are the best out there. Yes there is some trigger play side to side but there was also with the original. You cant feel the side to side play while shooting. The comfort and trigger motion is very good.
