Great video showing all the steps made installation a snap. I polished the ramp and was able to feed full 30 round mags with all sorts of bullet shapes. Pair this with the mag catch and improve your PMR feed operation.
No matter how you look at it...SS is better than plastic! This replacement feed ramp is no different. Installation was straight forward after watching the installation video. Thanks guys for the tutoring!! The only issue I had was getting the spring to set in the slide release. It would have been much easier if I would have hand the handy tool used in the MCARBO video. MCARCO should include this tool with the feed ramp. I basically hooked the slide release to the spring outside of the gun & placed them in the gun together. It was a little tricky but I got everything in place without too much trouble. I was also sent a replacement SS feed ramp to replace the one I had on order because of potential "out of tolerance" issues. I installed the replacement as instructed. The only issue I had after the install was the slide seems to fit tighter & the take-down pin hole alignment is difficult to get 100% lined up. I have taken my slide apart twice & both times had to use something to help pound the takedown pin in it's slot. Removing the pin requires a punch to get it started. There is just something off center enough to cause a little friction on the pin. I did a test fire this morning to see how the ammo fed. I noticed the ammo loaded into my magazines tend to dip nose down after 20 rounds are loaded. I experienced severe bullet dip after 25 rounds were loaded. The ammo actually acts like it is dragging in the magazine itself. I unloaded & loaded the magazine several times to see if the ammo dip changed. What I saw was the ammo hand loaded much better than when using the mag loader. The mag loader makes it easier to load the magazines but seems to make the ammo seat differently than hand loading. This was evident in my test fire. I had hang-ups for the first rounds until I reached round 20. Then the gun ran like a swiss watch. TO get a clear picture of what I'm working with, I have the following after market parts installed: - MCARBO Enhanced Mag Release - MCARBO SS Feed Ramp - MCARBO Extra Power Recoil Spring I also have the MCARBO speed loader for the PMR30. My gun still runs iffy when the magazines are loaded with over 20 rounds. The ammo tested was CCI "Choot-em" HP ammo. I would think that a VMAX bullet would feed better. All of the products listed above are worthy additions to your weapon. I would definingly NOT use the PMR30 for self defense even with all of the enhancements MCARBO offers. It's a great gun but just too unreliable to but your life on. Too bad because it's a bad Mo-Fo when it's running good! Now let's figure our how to enhance the magazines to where they can be loaded without having to tamp down or adjust every few rounds. I have pictures of my installs & loaded mags for review if needed.
Great addition to my pmr30. Easy install. Just followed the Mcarbo install video which are heaven sent.
My PMR30 was misfeeding every three shots. I changed out the feeding ramp and magazine release and now absolutely no misfeeds.
Great service my order came quickly and no issues. I didn’t even realize that the PMR30 didn’t have a metal feed ramp. I am really looking forward to getting this installed. The polishing kit is perfect. I used it with my Dremel tool. It was so easy and quick to get it polished. Thank you for suggesting it.
It was immediately evident that the stainless feed ramp serves to increase the feeding and reliability of the Pmr 30. The magazine release is also a vast improvement to reliability. I wish they came as a kit for a bit of a price break, but at a little under $100 shipped, it's worth every penny. I had some issues with the magazine dropping free initially, however, I contacted Mcarbo and they suggested the obvious resolution of loosening the screws that hold the lower receiver together. I.e. I over tightened it when reasembling. I can't complain because without these parts, the PMR 30 is at best a single shot lightweight paperweight. Mcarbo resolves the shortcomings of this pistol and I couldn't be happier with the resul.
I bought this along with the buffing kit. It was a little taxing to install but not too bad. It is definitely a big improvement over the stock plastic ramp. I also installed the new mag reel and trigger assembly. I ran 50 rounds through it and it cycled 100%. I like the upgrade and will be doing it on my other CMR soon.
The first thing I did was to polish the steel feed ramp. Th feed ramp was very easy to install.
I ordered the feed ramp and enhanced mag release. Install was simple after watching the video, fit and finish were nice, cycled 2-magazines thru the gun without a hiccup. MCARBO had quick shipping, great customer service

I had almost given up on my PMR 30 until I heard about you guys and your solution to the said pistols known problems. I have to say I was a bit apprehensive about replacing parts on a gun I long ago became bitter about and had considered it a paperweight because of its issues. I’m so happy that I went through with ordering and replacing the newest stainless steel feed ramp and enhanced mag release! I replaced the parts, took the gun to the range and it did exactly what it’s supposed to! Cycled all 30 rounds without a hitch! Thank you guys so much! It sat in my safe for years because I’d given up and wasn’t privy to your solution until recently. I actually have a KelTec PMR 30 that fires like it should! I’ve already spread the word about you guys and the solution and I’m a very satisfied customer.
I installed the MCARBO stainless steel feed ramp and enhanced mag release yesterday and was able to test them out today. 130 rounds fired with ZERO malfunctions! Mag dumps, double taps and slow fire all worked flawlessly. Before these mods, my PMR30 typically experienced 1-2 malfunctions of some sort per magazine. The MCARBO team has turned this into one of my favorite handguns! KELTEC needs to make these parts standard equipment on all future production PMR30's...Great job MCARBO!
This was worth every penny. Install wasn't too bad and with KelTec mags I hardly ever have issues anymore. Self polished mine. Put these in both my PMR-30's. I get polishing is a sales item but I would pay more if they just came pre-polished and drop in ready.
I bought a PMR30 about 2 years ago.... LOVE that 22MAG, and 30 round magazine !! Pistol had some real serious feeding problems so I went to work on it. So far I have installed all of the entire M CARBO upgrades accept the new feeding ramp.... the older feeding ramp I am replacing sometime today. Keltec has discontinued phone communications from the field to order any parts which says a lot about their commitment to service and customer satisfaction. They should issue at least 10 of the tiny retaining wire on the muzzle end of the slide guide !! PITA to deal with and install !! and impossible to find when you drop one !! If Chris and his staff didn't provide the services/videos/improved upgrades and fast delivery services.... it's a fact.. my PMR-30 would have been in the trash bin long ago!! Thanks Chris, you and your staff run a KICK ASS operation !! Don't let the rest of the world grind ya down !! w
I bought the new stainless steel feed ramp for my CMR30. It took some additional fitting because the chamber face is slightly different from the PMR 30, but it is an incredible improvement over the polymer ramp that came out of the carbine. MCARBO can give guidance on fitment in the CMR which I highly recommend you doing prior to shooting the carbine after the install
