Review
Went from 5# to 3-3/4# with trigger and spring alone. Added some polish on the sear and hammer notch with felt wheel and jewelers rouge.....dropped to 3-1/2#. Big improvement, worth the $$$ for a drop in improvement.
This is how a trigger should be, can access and use with right or left hand. Very solid and dependable trigger with a reduced pull weight. Very nice feel and function. Use in conjunction with the trigger pin kit. So much better than stock!
The Flat Trigger makes the PC Carbine feel better when shooting. I previously installed the Trigger Spring Kit and Extra Power Recoil Spring resulting in about a 2 lb trigger pull. Feels lighter with the new Flat Trigger but still about 2 lbs pull. Less creep and shorter reset resulted in faster follow up shots. It's a plus all the way around. Easy install. Great customer service.
Thanks for the video, super easy install. Can't wait to try it out at the range.
What can I say, flat triggers have been useful upgrades on two of my competition pistols and this “Flatish” trigger is great. The finger always end up in the right spot and stays put.
Easy to install and the trigger feels crisper with better break although it doesn't reduce the pull weight according to my trigger scale. Definitely a better trigger than one of your competitors.
Using standard curved triggers my entire life, I wasn’t really sold on this flat trigger concept. Install looked easy on the videos so I gave it a try. Glad I did! It does feel much better. I didn’t do a back to back comparison to see if it improved my accuracy, so I can’t comment on that.
Combined with the spring kit changes the whole feel of this gun.Solid feel and crisp break. Liked the gun when I bought it,now I love it
The videos for this trigger a screw for the over travel but thats not what they gave me. They gave .e a plane flat trigger. I called several time and no answers I also emailed with no answer. Very poor customer service and I do not recommend them. Have to buy another trigger with a over travel like Volquartsen.
There aren't many aftermarket triggers for the Ruger PC Carbine. Trigger parts from older 10/22 rimfire rifles, new 10/22s, and PC Carbines look similar, but usually aren't interchangeable. I tried several 10/22 trigger arrangements in my PC Carbine to get a lighter pull, but nothing worked safely, and one attempt to use a Volquartsen 10/22 target hammer resulted in a dangerous situation: the gun would fire when the safety was taken off if the trigger was even lightly pulled with the safety on. So, I decided to give this PC Carbine trigger a try. Replacing only the stock trigger and using all the other original parts, I did not notice any great improvement. Pull weight came down about a pound, but that might have been the result of polishing all the bearing surfaces on the sear, disconnector and hammer. The biggest disappointment was the trigger shape -- my finger landed right at the top of the flat section. I immediately missed the convex, curved shape of the factory trigger. Live and learn, I guess. Shipment was quick and packaging was sturdy. Other users might like this trigger shape, but it lives in my parts box for now.
The trigger upgrade was easy enough. Unfortunately when I ordered mine there were no spring upgrade kits available, nor recoil springs. The spring kits don't seem to be on the MCARBO website any longer. My main beef with this thing is that it doesn't come in red. Red charging/bolt handle, red magazine release, red... trigger... seems the next obvious. Good color schemes come in threes. Overall the trigger itself seems to be a 5.
When i first saw the video on the ruger PC Carbine I wanted to install the unit. I looked at your site to get the trigger and the spring kit in an effort to get around a 2 pound trigger. I couldn't find the spring kit so I called and was told you didn't carry the spring kit. Its a little deceptive to have a video for something I can't get. You might want to change the video to simply install the trigger or recommend a spring weight and company like wolff so we can get the full effect of the system. As far as the actual trigger I like the feel and it does have a nice crisp break sure would like to get that 2 pounder though
While at my local range I noted another person was using a Ruger PC Carbine. During my conversation with him I was advised of upgrades from M Carbo that he had installed and of his experience with the upgrades. I ordered parts from M Carbo (Flat Trigger, Exact Edge Extractor, Shock Buffer, Steel Bolt Head Pin, Extractor Pin Kit and Steel Trigger Group Pin Set). Shipping was fast and I utilized a gun smith for installation and since installation the upgrades have made for an enjoyable and positive experience with my Ruger PC Carbine.
I have had the Ruger PCC for a couple of years. The stock Trigger is nice for casual shooters. If you are thinking about any type of competitive shooting, this is a GREAT upgrade. For SCSA./USPSA/IDPA shooters, this is a NO brainer! I should have done it sooner! Will be buying the Spring kit next!
Forgot I give them a 5 star rating
