I ordered the kit a couple of weeks ago even though I knew it was out of stock and on backorder. They contacted me to let me know what I already knew. It came in yesterday and I installed it today. The video does a good job of explaining in detail how to do it and it worked fine. The trigger is much better now but I don't have anything to measure it with. I ran a magazine full and it worked perfectly. I feel it is well worth the cost. Wonder why they don't install springs like this from the factory?
Bought for a cpx-2 gen 3. the trigger return spring wont work with gen 3 trigger bar. I ordered a gen 2 trigger bar and worked. Visually the difference between a gen2 and gen 3 is gen 2 has finger grooves and gen 3 does not. Gen 3 slide is more square. Video on youtube is awesome and helps. Trigger feel is great and makes shooting this much more easy, accurate and enjoyable. Thankyou.
Works great, really helps you drop the hammer while staying on target. Very easy to to switch out, will buy again! Thanks Mcarbo for a great product!
The spring set fit and functioned flawlessly. In those respects it is a 5 star product. The reason for the 4 star rating is because I was hoping it would improve the trigger for carry usage.
The kit fits the CPX1 just fine and works well, but the “How To” video completely ignores the removal of the CPX1 safety mechanism. One must be careful not to lose the small detent and spring.
I recently purchased the spring kit and installed this afternoon. The video was very helpful with the install, and having the punches made the job easy for the average guy. After install I did a five pull test to get an average. Had a high of 4lbs 8.1oz and a low of 3lbs 5.1oz giving an average of 3lbs 15.5oz. The trigger pull is still extremely long but is now lighter and much easier to pull.
Before I installed this kit I took 5 measurements with my Wheeler digital trigger pull scale. The average was 8.0 lbs. After the kit went in the average of 5 measurements was 5.4 lbs. I will be ordering 2 more kits for my other CPX-2's
So I installed two of these kits this week. One was in my CPX 2 and one in my father-in-law's CPX 3. The trigger on the CPX 2 when install was finished was not quite as light as I imagined it would be. I actually had to try it in one hand and my wife's stock CPX 2 in the other to really notice a difference. The CPX 3 install seemed to make a much more noticeable difference. Worth the money but just wanted everyone to know my experience. Install took about 30 minutes.
Went from 9lbs trigger pull to a little over 4lbs, took my Sccy out and ran several different brands of 9mm through it, all went bang, all had good primer hits even hard primers of S&B 9mm
Installed the kit on my CPX2,haven't put any rounds through it yet but what a difference I feel in the trigger. Very satisfied so far glad I found this kit.
So i got this spring set for my wife SCCY 2 pistol. It took the trigger pull from almost a 9lb trigger to a 4.2lb trigger.
spring kit arrived early, installed it , shot it everything was awesome, the video really helped alot. always like to support a fellow vet.
It definitely worked. Trigger pole is probably half. You really do need the right tools and follow the videos.
Installed in my SCCY CPX-2 and it really reduces trigger effort......SMOOTH and almost effortless.....Tnx!!
The CPX-3 pistol was fairly comfortable to shoot from the factory but reducing the trigger weight made it SUPER COMFORTABLE to shoot as well as GREATLY improving my accuracy.....THANKS Chris & Co.!!
Had this installed on mu CPX-2 made a big difference , trigger pull is now much better
