This trigger modification makes a noticeable difference in the easy and smoothness of the trigger pull. The single biggest complaint about the SCCY is the trigger and this inexpensive mod makes it feel like a different gun, and I've only dry fired it. Can't wait to get to the range! As it goes, with the CPX-1 purchase I was hesitant to say the least, but my daughter fell in love with it in the store so we purchased it. I had never fired any SCCY brand weapons so once we got it home I gave it a go. Immediately I hated it. The trigger pull was so stiff and long I knew my daughter would have trouble maintaining a slow steady trigger pull with that long of a pull and still be able to hit what she was aiming at, and I was right. I looked up the Mcarbo short trigger spring kit and read the the reviews, I was sold. Dropping the 9lb trigger pull to a 3.5-4lb pull was right on the mark for the mod I was looking for to make this weapon worth while. Purchase price was great at just under $20, install was a breeze and even for those unfamiliar with weapons, there is a step by step video that even a child could follow. Lastly the result: I must say it is a night and day difference after the install. My daughter has no issues with the trigger pull any more, and the handling is so much smoother. This spring mod has transformed the CPX-1 from a worthless starter pistol to an everyday carry preferred concealed weapon of choice for my daughter. Great product.
Replaced with the trigger spring kit. Reduced the trigger pull by half. Now a fun gun to shoot at the range. If I can get it to not shoot high it would be great.
I’ve never bought a new pistol for just $20, at least not until now. Anyone with a SCCY CPX-2 will think they bought a new pistol after installing this trigger spring kit. AMAZING RESULTS. Went to the range today and if I didn’t know better I’d think I was first-firing a new carry piece. What a superb upgrade M-Carbo has made available for the budget minded, carry minded public. I bought two brand new SCCY 9mm. I bought two spring kits. I have taken apart and installed the new springs at least 8 times watching the video and neither gun trigger will reset. Both have the same problem. Called and emailed but not much help on the email. Just told me they are not installed correctly. Thanks it. Now I have two paper weights until I can take them to a gunsmith. Seems pretty simple and I did everything exactly as the video said. I have a little experience with working on guns. Wish there was a diagnostic section. Company seems very professional.
This spring kit dropped the trigger pull to a perfect 4 lb pull. The springs seem to be made of high quality spun wire and it was very easy to install. Would definetly recommend. Put 100 consecutive shots after installing and never missed a beat.
I give this product a rating of 10 out of 10. The new parts fit perfect and they are performing as they should. The video on how to replace the parts is fabulous. It contain very precise information and has excellent video quality. It made changes the springs tremendously easy. A whole lot better than having printed instructions to follow. I definitely will order from Mcarbo if I need to.
This pistol is now one of my favorites.
Took about 10 mins to install, lightened up the trigger pull from 8lbs to 4.5 lbs, no issues shooting so far(100rnds)
And man am I stoked. I don't have a trigger pull gauge but the pull weight after installation feels easily like half of what the stock pull was. It is also incredibly smooth. This takes my SCCY pistol into a whole different level of AWESOME. Thanks Chris for a great product. Side note my trigger bar is slightly differnet from the one in the video i.e. it does not have a slot in it for the trigger return spring. It is merely relieved on the bottom of the bar and the spring rides in that relief cut. Other than that everything is exactly as in the video.
The YouTube video was an essential part of the installation. The video was one of the best on the topic I have ever seen. Once installed the spring kit cut the trigger pull force in half. 50 rounds were test fired, all worked flawlessly. Well done from one veteran to another!
Although I do not have a trigger scale the pull on my CPX-2 is noticeably lighter.
Drastically reduced the pull weight. Followed the video exactly and product works great!
The spring kit I received was exactly what my SCCY needed. It significantly improved the trigger pull and made shooting my pistol so much better. The install video was extremely helpful and made it go seamlessly. Thank you for offering this kit for this gun.
I bought 2 kits, one for my new CPX-2RD and one for a older CPX-2. I watched the install video a couple times before tackling the install, took about an hour to install both kits. The new CPX went from a 8.75 lb. trigger pull to 4.16 ib., the older gun with a lot of rounds through it went from 8 ibs, to 3.8 ibs. I couldn't be happier. If you have a SCCY pistol, get these spring kits, you will be amazed at the difference it makes.
I bought the spring kit for the SCCY CPX-2 which has a 9 or 10 trigger pull out of the box. i took the kit to my gunsmith to install and now it feels like a 4 to 5 pound pull. i have not shot it yet but will do so soon.
