Although this spring kit is for the M&P Shield, I installed it in the M&P Shield Plus. Except for the trigger, I found no difference in the two. This the 4th kit I’ve installed in M&P’s so I was quite familiar with the process. I did however still follow the excellent video with one exception. I mounted the striker safety in the chuck of a variable speed electric drill (not too tight). Using this method (being mindful to keep the sandpaper well greased) I cut my sanding time in half.

Put 50 rounds through it at the range with no problems. I’m completely satisfied with the results.

Better than Expected !

Installed spring kit in my M&P Shield 40 which was gritty and had a 7.5 lb. trigger pull. Now the trigger pull is 4 lbs. which feels more like 3 lbs. because of a smooth take up and crisp clean break. The spring kit with a little polishing has transformed my pistol to a great shooting firearm. Many Thanks for your great product !

My Shield 9mm was the NTS 10# which tested at about 11# at start. Horrible for a 71 yr old Senior. I found myself quivering at just before the release. Had to so something about this. So blessed to find you guys. I thought for the price, I had to try M*Carbo and it was a great experience. Ended up with 5.5 pounds I was expecting a pound or so more. Great instruction video. The polishing makes all the difference. Real smooth travel to the sear engagement, crisp but much lighter release and very smooth return. It was nice also to relate mechanically what is felt on the trigger by watching the video. I know my shield well now. I am thinking of doing my SKS and a few hunting rifles. Bless you guys and thanks, - Mick

I finally finished installing my trigger spring kit for my S&W Shield, 9MM. I took her to the range, put 30 rounds through it, I am absolutely amazed at what a difference it made.

Using the kit, and following the instructions was very, very easy to do. I do, however, recommend watching the video several times.

One tip I would like to offer. When polishing the striker safety, you’ll save a ton of time if you chuck it into a drill, and let the drill do the work for you.

God bless America 🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸

Recently bought a S&W M&P SHIELD 9MM 2.0. First semi-auto I've ever owned. Read a lot of reviews before purchase and most were very favorable but I noticed a number of comments on trigger pull and sensation. "Gritty" was the most common term. During the first rip to the range I became familiar with "gritty".

Started looking online for possible solutions-mostly expensive trigger kits. Then came across the MCARBO trigger spring kit for $19.95. Price wise no brainer.

Ordered kit and and 3 days later it was here. Watched the video several times (very good content and visuals) and then took apart a gun for the first time.

Like others, the rear sight was a challenge and ended up denting the push edge (in another video I learned that the front dovetail has a tiny ridge on it and you can use a dremel to file it down making inserting and removal much easier. I took it completely off and was able to insert the sight just using my fingers).

I put the striker block in the chuck of a 3/8 drill and used multiple grade of wet/dry to sand. I then used a fixed mount dremel tool with buffing wheel and FLITZ to give it a mirror polish. I put a 2 second polish on the Sear cam lobe. I polished the trigger bar including the contact edges.

I learned from another video that the striker block channel in the slide can have a small amount of ridges left from the manufacturing process. Running the tip of a small punch up and down the channel (hole) showed me that I had the same problem. Used several grades of wet/dry paper rolled up and sanded the channel until I couldn't feel the ridges.

Put all the springs in, mostly easy, reassembled and then did a pull test. The before tests were 6.25lb average, the after tests were 4.75lb average. Would have liked a little lower but it is still a new gun and hope it will age properly. The overall pull is much better and no "grit".

Couple of tips - Harbor Freight, multi-sheet package of wet/dry sandpaper - 250,500,1000,1200 $3.99- rotary tool (dremel) $17.99 with coupon, comes with bits - countertop vise with suction base and rubber covered jaws $14.99 with coupon (great tool) and the best of all Apache 3800 carry box with pick and pull foam $32.00 with coupon. Mine now has two guns, 200 boxed rnds of ammo, mag speed loader, 2 extra mags, revolver speed loader, safety glasses, markers, paper targets under the lid foam

and other minor stuff

As described. Lowers pull by 1lb and smooths it out. No more stacking. Just a crisp break after shirt take up.

I liked how Chris walked us through the process on how to install the trigger kit. He does talk fast but playbacks are always available.

The kit was a nice upgrade to my SD9VE. The only problem I had was reinstalling the trigger pin. He made it look easy, an for a trained vet may be so. I pushed hard several time before it found its way through the hole. Noticeable difference in trigger pull. Nice!

This was a cheap and simple way to make the shield more enjoyable to shoot. I have Zero experience with dismantling a gun other than cleaning, and this was a breeze for me. The detailed video made it easy to follow along as you changed the springs.

Easy to install.

With the exception of site removal, this was very easy to do.

I think the polishing made the biggest difference. However, updating the springs while the pistol was apart was trivial.

Very easy upgrade it made my Shield smooth "like butter". (Chris was right) Follow his very in depth video and you will feel like a pro.

You MUST get the polish kit as well - you'll already have the gun disassembled. These two together made my Shield "like butter".

I purchased the trigger spring kit for my M&P Shield and I would not have been able to install it without having the excellent video with easy to follow step by step instructions. I am not very happy about S/W not providing a breakdown parts list with a diagram. Thanks to M*Carbo I was able to perform the installation and was quite pleased with the results. THANK FOR THE HELP !!!!

Nice light crisp , shot 150 rounds down it at range. They had a performance center shield at the counter and I tried that after definitely nicer feel than factory performance trigger 🤟👍
