This is the second full kit I have bought and installed. Bought the full kit with the floating trigger pin for my CZ SP01 Tactical with DeCocker back in November, and I just installed the same kit in my CZ75 DA/SA SS with dual safeties. Following the video instructions step-by-step, the entire process took about one-and-a-half hours with no mishaps or dropped/lost springs. I do have a full set of roll pin punches as well as specialty punches and gunsmith, spring locating tools and micro tips which helped greatly. I also removed the extractor from the slide as well as trigger assembly from the frame and gave both the slide and frame a thorough cleaning in the same time span. One thing that helped greatly is that I clamped the frame in my rotating and tilting vise. That made it less clumsy.

Results are amazing once again!! Average SA trigger pull with five reading is 1.89lbs, and DA is now 5.89lbs. Have not taken it to the range yet but conducted a thorough function test, and everything appears to be in order. It does require at least some mechanical aptitude; the ability to memorize processes from videos as stopping and pausing to rewind and review is cumbersome; good manual dexterity; and at least the basic tools shown in the video: but it is not impossible. For tinkerers and DIY gunsmiths like me, it's a fun project with amazing results!!

UPDATE on my first review, "Now worth the effort to install yourself."

First, apologies to the MCarbo Team... the issue I had with the trigger reset was NOT due to the spring itself, it was due to my installation. The problem was that after installing the trigger reset spring, I did not check the trigger bar springs and the one on the ejector side was out of the trigger bar spring groove. Thus, causing the problem related to trigger reset. That being said, a) as I indicated in my first review, the parts are all quality - you should have no worries there; b) the trigger reset spring installation remains difficult based on my experience, and I'd still recommend just having a gunsmith do the work should you choose to replace your springs. So, I'm changing my rating up to 4 STARS with the only ding being the difficulty of my DIY experience. Obviously, many others have not had the same problem or challenges that I did. Thank you!

Parts shipped quickly.

I really appreciate all the resources and encouragement Mcarbo has for customers installing these parts themselves. I printed very good paper instructions with excellent color photos and followed along with their YouTube demonstration. It was a tedious process, but I was able to install everything.

I like the way the gun functions now, except I have some trouble with the trigger resetting. I figure it's probably due to my gunsmithing inexperience- maybe I tweaked the trigger return spring or something- but just in case the spring itself is a little too weak, I thought I would offer my experience in case it's a common problem. I plan on trying a new reduced strength spring and see if that fixes the problem.

Very good - ALMOST perfect CZ P01 Omega spring kit

I installed the kit in stages. All trigger pull weights are averages of 10 pulls by a digital Lyman scale:

1. New gun - no mods - never fired SA 4lb 1.1oz -- DA 10lb 9.5oz

2. MCarbo Main spring only SA 3lb 12.6oz -- DA 8lb 12.7oz

3. Added Firing pin spring and plunger spring SA 3lb 12.7oz --DA 8lb 7.2oz

4. Changed trigger return spring SA 2lb 12oz -- DA 7lb 10.3oz

Overall I am pleased especially for $20. The SA went from 4lb 1oz to 2lb 12oz which is a nice improvement, and brought the SA value close to my competition gun. Reset is still 'good enough'. The DA could be a little lower. A DA reduction of 3 lb is nice but the result of 7lb 10oz is still about 1lb to high. Gun shot Federal, TulAmmo, Sellier and CCI without malfunction or light primer strikes. I think the mainspring could be a little lighter.

Very good upgrade

Man I am very happy with this little kit!

I installed this on my P01 Omega Tactical and it is money! It was one of my favorite pistols, but the stock DA pull was crazy heavy. This lighter spring kit was a breeze to install, and it has made the trigger pull much much better. While I had the gun apart, I polished up a few surfaces on the hammer, sear, and trigger bar as well.. the pull is smooth as glass now!

So I am a fan! The product is quality, the shipping was fast, and the customer service and follow up was top-notch. I will definitely be a returning customer! Thanks guys.

Very happy

Very nice upgrade for a great price. Installation was a breeze, especially with the installation video supplied by mcarbo. The reduced single action trigger pull is like butter now. I will definetly suggest this upgrade to others in the future. Wonderful company to work with also.

Very nice results for the money

The kit is definitely worth it.

The heavy duty firing pin safety pin is my main complaint. It got bent fairly easily during install. Had to compress it and slightly grind it to get it in. It doesn't look like it would be able to live through more than a few disassemblies.

Very Nice Spring Kit for your CZ

The kit is nice and very consistent. I installed the Spring Kit on three different CZ's and all kits yielded the same weight single action pull. The pull weight for each of my handguns measured 3.5 lbs. I did have some trouble with the trigger return spring and the slave pin. If you have a little 12g romex around the ground wire is nearly the perfect diameter for a slave pin. It is also easier to see from the side of the pistol. The video is excellent. Thanks MCARBO for a nice kit.

I was always intimidated by the idea of replacing springs in a cz75, but the video tutorial took it step by step. Changed out springs in about 20 minutes (most of the delay was in not being able to drop the sear cage back in, turned out one of the little safety detent sliders was in the way and mad to be pushed back). Fantastic product, great company.

Well worth it.

I have a CZ 75 PCR which had a slide that was difficult to rack and DA that was quite heavy. I installed this kit and the slide is easier to rack. The DA improved a little, maybe 2lb improvement. The SA went down from 4.5-5lbs to around 3lbs. I did not have a chance to test the gun at a range since I just installed it yesterday. The kit is well worth the money. The video for installation is very good but make sure you watch it multiple times and as you are working on the gun. I did not pay attention to some steps related to the sear spring and ended up with reassembling the whole thing several times. Just take your time with the sear assembly.

Well worth the money!!

I have a CZ SP01 and it was pulling a 9.5lb on the scales so I decided to get this kit for my gun. I was able to drop it down to 4lbs trigger pull. It only took me 4 days to get my kit in the mail. Awesome kit and there is a video for those who are not good with gun smithing. I recommend it because you will feel and notice the difference. It has improved the guns accuracy even more. Keep it up mcarbo, you guys are doing an excellent job.

Well worth the time and money

Using on my CZ 75 SP-01, this kit bought down double action pull to 7# and single action pull to a hair over 3#. Only hard part of installation was trigger spring. Must be installed in the uncocked position. Once trigger pin is removed Do not pull (fire) while manipulating the gun or you will have to remove sear cage.

What an improvement!

With the guidance of the excellent video, I successfully replaced almost every spring on my SP-01, even the recoil spring and stainless guide rod. I REALLY got to know my CZ from the inside out and gained new insight on its inspired design and found new confidence in my limited gunsmithing skills. What an improvement- 2 1/2 lb pull. Now, about that excessive takeup and reset ...

What an improvement!!
