Review
I recently purchased kits for my 97B and my P-01. These will be the 8th and 9th kits purchased and installed into my various CZ models. I keep coming back due to the price, quality etc of these spring kits. If you have not yet bought one of these for your CZ, the time is now. You will not be disappointed.
Return spring too light it caused the trigger to not reset when let go slowly. Rest of the kit is good.
I recently purchased a trigger kit for mt CZ rami. I plan on using this as my edc but the trigger was a little heavy from the factory. My son recommended mcarbo but he had never purchased anything from them and was using me as a guinea pig. I took the kit to a professional armorer and had it installed. He tweaked it a little and polished everything and I couldn’t be happier. The pistol trigger pull is now much better. The service was great and fast and made in the USA.
Before: DA: 12lbs SA: 3.5lbs After: DA: 7lbs SA: 2.5lbs
I just purchased my handgun and the kit for my CZ 75D Compact PCR in February. Everything went well except for the sear spring. I cannot get the pin that holds the sear cage in place to move. I watched the video several times but my CZ is slightly different that what is in the video. I do not have the right side de-cocker lever and the cross pin that holds the springs and sear cage appears different and will not budge. I tried pushing out with my fingers and tapping it with a hammer and punch. but no go I do not want to start smashing it with the hammer and it's not worth the extra $100+ to send it in to Mcarbo to have them do it. So I am not changing the sear spring. This is not the fault of the kit but the video is not correct for my particular handgun for some reason.
This was the first range visit with the 2nd MCARBO kit installed. This time it was installed in my polished stainless CZ75b. Ran 100rds of S&B and 100 of Blazer Brass, all 115gr. Everything fired without a problem. Great trigger pull improvement, just like my other CZ75b.
I haven't used it yet, but the trigger feels great. Only reason not 5 stars, step left off video on de-cocker models to lift spring to remove left side de-cocker handle. About drove me crazy, and I ended up driving it out, glad I didn't do any damage.
The kit was perfect. Obviously dealing with the decocker seer was a pain... but totally doable. Be patient, watch some youtube videos, watch Mcarbos videos, call and ask questions if you need to. Mcarbo was super helpful. You can do it if you want to. The kit makes the double action straight pull through (vs stagging) the trigger so so much more doable for an novice/intermediate shooter like me. Really pleased with the whole experience and smithing on the CZ was really enjoyable. I would suggest buying the punch kit and the bench block.
I've purchase several items for my CZ collection and has been very happy with the service and support.
Installation went well on my p-01 Omega. Once learned that one needs to follow the P07 video. But the install did cut my single and double in half. To 1.5 single an 3.5 double. Just wish the take up was less
The spring kit supplied for my p-01 was of high quality parts. I found the support given by M-CARBO was top notch. The installation videos were right on. I was very happy with the results.
Both double and single action are half of what they use to be and are as smooth as butter. When I get another CZ this will be the first upgrade I'll be ordering.
I got this for my sp01 that I love way way more than my glock 17 sorry glock lovers 😬😬 but in all seriousness yes it did just what the YouTube video said. This was my first gunsmithing and I have to say that it didn’t go as smooth as the video. I had a little trouble on the trigger spring. I couldn’t get it to align right to put the pin in.maybe because the hammer was pulled back and I couldn’t get it to release because the trigger was loose but after carefully inspecting and learning the functions I got it to release and then I got the pin in. Everything else that I thought would be hard like the sear went pretty smooth. After about an hour later I got everything installed and my sp01 feel like a totally different gun. I don’t have a measuring device so I don’t know the pounds difference but I don’t need to measure because I can definitely feel the difference..Love this upgrade and really appreciate the prompt response on email from these guys at Mcarbo.. customer service on the phone was really helpful and they were very nice. I do recommend to others. One last thing I would like to fix is that there’s like a little wiggle or travel on the trigger before you feel the stop and see movement on the hammer. I don’t know if there’s a way to fix this but I will definitely be calling Mcarbo for some ideas.
Springs were easy enough to install on a CZ75BD, and reduced the DA (it was off the chart of my trigger pull scale) down to 7.5 lbs and the SA from a mushy 3.5lbs down to a crisp 2.5 lbs. The slave pin and the videos made the job fairly easy. Wish I would have found MCARBO years ago. Veteran owned and in Florida? I'll be doing more business here!
Buddy owns the CZ 75 and brought it and the spring kit to me. Personally played with a few guns but never a CZ 75. Watched the video and jumped on it. Can't say enough good things about the video, the spring set, or the final results.
I should wait to review once I've shot my p01 with the kit installed, but I will speak to the install and what I can measure for trigger pull weights. I went ahead and purchased their punch kit as well as the forked micro tip just in case. I see where it could fall apart really quick, but! If you are mechanically enclined and pay attention to orientation of parts and springs as well as the order of operations for this project, you should be fine. Their instructional video, is very detailed and thorough. Showing proper procedure, as well as examples of what could go wrong and how to backtrack to fix it. 10/10 on the video and parts included. Using a wheeler analog trigger pull scale. Factory, I measured 4lb SA pull, down to 3lb. DA I couldn't get a reading befoere but I'd guess somewhere around 9-11 as I have read is standard for DA pull weight. Down to a readable, 7 ½ lb (from the de-cocked position). Thanks MCarbo! Y'all rock. Looking forward to my next project. Lastly, GET THE FLOATING TRIGGER PIN. I goofed up on that.
