Review
Well, I realize that there are some specialty parts here and I realize that "custom" anything is going to cost a premium. Still for a few bits of metal the cost is fairly substantial . The springs and pins were fairly easy to install with the guidance of the excellent YouTube video. A couple of the factory pins were pretty damn tight and it also took me a while to figure out that in my particular pistol the trigger pin needed to be pushed out left to right rather than the typical right to left. No big deal and certainly nothing that M*Carbo would have anything to do about. The disappointment comes from the amount of improvement. The new, stock, pistol had a DA pull of 11lbs 5ozs on average with the SA pull coming in at 4lbs 4 oz using my Lyman digital gauge with a fresh battery. After the work the DA is 10lb 1 oz and SA is 3lbs 2 oz. A definite improvement and I'm happy with the SA pull. The DA pull difference is barely noticeable in use however. Would I do it again? The jury is still out.
I bought the CZ75 Trigger kit and didn't know that I needed a different kit for the decocker model, so, I didn't quite get the correct parts for the replacement. I sent an email with my issue and I was sent a new sear spring, which I appreciated, even though that is not what I needed. I sent another email and was told I didn't need the other parts, or I could purchase them. I like mcar Bo, just a little confusing to me. Next time, I will do more research. The kit was of good quality and price, I might look at other kits next time.
I didn’t see much improvement after installation. Took a little grit out of the double action but the single action function is nearly identical to factory. Not an easy installation. This is the fifth time I’ve performed this and I always seem to run into an issue.
It didn't really make a big difference for me. I ended up just putting back the original parts and keeping them as replacements. The trigger return spring does not return my trigger so that's a failure. Over all I gues I just have some spare parts for my CZ-75.
Such an inexpensive upgrade that will make a worlds difference in your speed and accuracy. In my SP-01 Phantom the D/A pull is better, D/A isnt supposed to be amazing so MCARBO did it RIGHT. Last and most important, the S/A pull is so Fluid and lite, although the trigger reset does still leave a little to be desired with travel. Is there a solution to finding the perfect reset distance?
Great product, at a great price. Installation is not for the faint of heart! But thanks to the online video, I was able to get it done on my own.
Received my kit for a CZ P-01 w/decocker. Had a local gunsmith do the install and when it was done (next day), he mentioned what a difference there was in the both the DA/SA trigger pull. Had surgery on the trigger finger so have not been able to try it for myself, but hope to within the next couple of weeks. As a Navy vet, glad to do business with a made in the USA, Veteran owned company. Look forward to purchasing more items from these folks.
The trigger spring took the longest to install as the helper pin kept falling out, and getting misplaced. I think a white color for the helper pin would help to quickly locate it when it falls into the black gun. The last time it fell out I eventually found it in the slide rail slot. The Heavy Duty Firing Pin Retaining Pin is very difficult to fully drive in. My pin is not centered but does function. The end result did provide a lighter trigger pull, though I don't think it was a 50% reduction. I have put about 250 rounds through my modified cz using various factory ammo without a single FTF.
just like the other reviews of the omega trigger kit. The double action seems the same but the single action definitely lightened up. It should be pretty light with a 13.5# hammer spring but it really didn't change
Awesome service, delivery and product! The video was really helpful. This is my first work on a handgun. I was a little apprehensive at first but the video just walks you through step by step. The only place that I difficulty was removing the trigger spring pin. The video said to remove pin from left to right and it wouldn’t budge. I talked to CZ and they said the pin is removed right to left from the manufacturer. That worked nicely. I’m off to the range tomorrow👍🏼😎 Thanks Mcarbo!!!
Having previously installed the M*Carbo spring kit in my P07, which was quite easy and made the gun more of a pleasure to shoot. I purchased this kit for my CZ 75 P01 Omega, I watched several videos to refresh my knowledge and decided to tackle the job. All the springs went in easily and dramatically changed the double action trigger pull. I was concerned about scratching the alloy frame but if one takes their time, it's not an issue. If one is on the fence about purchasing this product, just buy it, you won't be disappointed. The spring kits really improves an excellent gun from CZ. Thank you M*Carbo for great products, tutorial videos and superior customer service.
Product quality was as advertised. Installation was a little squirrelly but the included slave pin for the trigger spring was extremely helpful. I did not change the sear spring which I understand can be a bear on the decocker models. Double action trigger pull is down a bit and the single action feels even better.
I watched the videos, the instruction and content, I thought I would give it a try. I have two P01, because I love them. I did the first one and it was challenging but fun. Next night I did the second one. Took them both to the range and definite improvement and both worked fine. Have not done my RAMI yet. Just for fun posting picture of one of my P01s that I put a red dot on, its kind of fun I use this P01 most of the time its like 12 years old. I did not have the heart to have the gun milled, kind of wanted to keep it "Stock". So the mount goes into the dovetail, go it on amazon. Took a little adjusting but works great. Red dots are nice, fun but not something you want to holster, so my other P01 is plain Jane
My husband put this spring kit on his P07 and it made a huge difference, trigger pull was smooth as butter. I had to have it for my P01 which is my CCW. Installation was not easy, gun got scratched in process, and I can't tell a huge difference. Not super impressed. Husband states it could be due to the fact that he has the Omega trigger system in P07. My loss I guess.
OEM setup was absolutely atrocious from a double action stand point. It would sting to dry fire in DA . Took 10 minutes to install this kit,,, if you watch a few videos, have some slave pins (made from Q-tips sticks) and have any mechanical aptitude you can also do this easily. Now to the results... is it as good as my AccuShadow? no, but I did not expect it to be that good.. However it is night and day better than stock and for the price I am totally happy with this enhancement. Now on to the company MCARBO... I stumbled onto these guys by accident when I Googled “how to fix horrible CZ PO1 Omega DA trigger”.. They are top notch and shipped in 2 days!! Wow! Thanks for great service and price.
Had a local gunsmith polish all the trigger components and install this spring kit and a competitors DA roller. Wow what a difference. Trigger pull is very smooth and crisp. SA/DA went from 4 lbs./9 lbs. to 2/5.5. Also had an MCARBO recoil spring and a competitors barrel bushing installed.
