Review
This kit is a must have for your CZ 75B, it makes this shooter a delight to shoot, just take your time with the springs.
Installed on my CZ75B and what a fantastic result for such a low cost kit. Honestly, I couldn't tell the difference between my other 75B that I spent nearly $200 on other company's kit and another $100 for misc parts. Good job Mcarbo! Your superb communication and products really made the difference. Awesome company and also the owner! Will keep buying your products! Please make some spring kits for lousy Tanfoglio guns, too!
This kit makes a great improvement in the CZ 75B. I hate roll pins so am very happy that I also purchased the Floating Trigger Pin with the spring kit. It is well worth the money and makes it much easier to re-assemble the trigger parts. The only problem I had was with the trigger return spring itself because my fingers just do not work as well as they used to, due to age and numbness in my fingers. Thea assembly tool is a great idea but in my case the small size made it a bit difficult for me. Wooden toothpick to the rescue! I used the tool as a guide and cut a section of a square wooden tooth pick which I could more easily use to help install the parts. The instruction video was great, very clear and helpful. A video is so much better than written instructions with just pictures to look at. I don't have a trigger gauge to measure the before and after weights so don't have measurements as to how much improvement I got, but is is amazingly apparent how much better the pistol is. Thanks for a great product!!
1st:. M-Carbo's excellent Youtube instructional video sold me on their product, and gave me confidence I could do the installation. 2nd:. Wow!, the package arrived faster than an Amazon Prime order!! 3rd:. While I have not had the opportunity to shoot with the new parts installed, I can readily feel the difference in dry firing: both DA and SA are comfortable even with my arthritic fingers. Note: I guess the lighter hammer spring necessitated the lighter firing pin spring, but will it fire reliably? Only time at the range will tell.
Description says the kit I bought would fit my SP01 with decocker, it did not; then i see there is another kit for decocker models... I was not given option to select that kit... will not buy from this company again
I ordered two kits, one for my plain Jane CZ75b and one for my polished stainless CZ75b. The installation video helped a lot since I never installed a custom spring kit before, and everything went well, but it took a bit longer to complete. I haven't installed the second kit yet, that will be next week. After completing the installation and functional check, I was really surprised how nice the trigger felt in single and double action. My homemade digital trigger pull gauge read ~2.7lbs in SA and ~7lbs in DA, great improvement over the factory trigger. I went to the range the following two days to make sure there wasn't any ignition failures on known hard primer factory ammo. Four hundred rounds later, not one light strike. This MCARBO trigger kit transformed my CZ75b, and the trigger is now very similar to my Shadow 2's and Shadow Orange. I might be exaggerating a bit, but you get the picture.
My favorite pistol in my arsenal is my CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical with the decocker. I ordered, received, installed, and field tested the trigger spring kit with floating trigger pin, extra power recoil spring, and the stainless steel guide rod. I have been a Tool and Die Maker for 41 years and I was totally impressed with the quality of your products. The video was very helpful and my install went very well. What a difference it made in my trigger pull! My shot groups were tighter and I am very impressed with the outcome! Thanks for the quality "Made in America" parts! look forward to doing more business with you!
This is the second time I've added this spring kit to a CZ-75 SP-01. This time it was to a model with a safety, so I also added a SA only trigger. As before, I didn't add the sear return spring, and my SA trigger pull averages 1 lb. 6 oz. I also added Dawson sights and Lok grips. I couldn't be happier. M*Carbo is AMAZING!
I installed this spring kit in my recently purchased CZ 75 SP-01 Tactical. Trigger pull prior to installation averaged 8 lbs 10.3 oz DA and 3 lbs 11.5 oz SA. I then installed the Custom Hammer Spring, Firing Pin Spring, Firing Pin Block Spring (after polishing block face), and Heavy Duty Firing Pin Retaining Pin. This brought the DA pull down to 6 lbs 3.6 oz. and the SA pull to 2 lbs 3.8 oz. When my new CZ 75 Floating trigger Spring arrived I installed the lighter Trigger Return Spring along with a Cajun Gun Works "Old Style" Trigger. DA trigger pull now averages 3 lbs 9.5 oz and DA 1 lb 5.6 oz! I didn't install the new sear spring because I don't want the pull any lighter, and (despite the excellent video) it looked rather difficult. I couldn't be happier with the results.
Picked up this kit after seeing the install video on YouTube. I watched the vid like 6 times, you guys make it look easy. Just made me want it. I didn’t have a trigger gauge so not sure what the pulls were. Installed this kit myself with the video (so good) And wow! Did this like 2022, loved the results. Just got a gauge DA is like 9, SA is now 3lbs. Thank you guys. Keep up the good work. 👍🏼
Took my SP-01 trigger pull from a 5-pull average of 6 lb. 5.9 oz in DA to 5 lb. 1.4 oz, and my SA from 3 lb. 2.5 oz to 2 lb. 3.7 oz. Installation video was awesome. Inexpensive and relatively easy upgrade.
Materials feel quality but haven't fired it much. Install was easy overall and u can find a youtube video by mcarbo going into detail on how to.
Installed in a never fired SP01. Double action was reduced to just under 8lbs and Single action dropped from 5.5lbs to 4lbs. Did some light polishing and smoothing of machine marks. Very impressed with the kit. The new trigger pin is also a must-have. Super fast shipping, and great communication. The videos are also a great help!
I'm a CZ fanboy. I own an SP01 with a CGW pro package, PCR with CGW pro package and a CZ97BD with a CGW pro package. For my P01, I decided to just try the MCarbo spring kit and compare it with my CGW CZs. I polished the P01's internals and installed the MCarbo parts. Unfortunately, I didn't have a trigger gauge prior to polishing the internals so I can't give before and after trigger pull figures but did end up with a 5lb 4oz DA and 2lb 3oz SA, which are comparable with my CGW CZs and slightly better than my PCR. Nice! The actions on the CGW CZs are still nicer, but that's to be expected with new hammers and short reach triggers, etc. But for the money, the MCarbo kit is a great value. I only have 2 knocks on the kit: 1) the slave pin for the sear cage isn't long enough if you want to use it to completely remove the cage - that was too bad but luckily I had one from CGW (but you don't have to completely remove the cage to install the MCarbo kit so I get it) and 2) the main spring is longer than the CGW spring of the same weight and a bit more fiddly to install. Minor gripes really. I'm glad I tried the kit and think it'd be fun to do a combo MCarbo kit and CGW kit (MCarbo kit with its weaker sear spring in the MCarbo kit along with weaker firing pin block lever spring new hammer and short reach trigger from CGW).
I ordered the spring package, with the advice of the MCARBO techs. I watched the install videos closely, and after 4 views began. I replaced the springs that would fit my Jericho, not all did. I reassembled, I tested at the range after the snow melted. Double action, smooth and lighter pull. Single action smooth and lighter. No issues, light strikes/missfires, factory ammo or reloads. Satisfied customer.
