I had never attempted a trigger job before, but after watching a couple of their videos I decided to give it a shot. Displaying more confidence than sense I chose a CZ75D PCR that has a decocker for the subject. As of this writing MCARBO does not have this specific model available in video. So I suggest you might NOT want to do one of these for your first trigger job. Decockers add another level of complexity. That said, after a couple of hiccups and a couple of calls to tech support at MCARBO I did get it done and to my delight the pistol actually fired. The kit did everything they say it will and my groups are LOTS tighter. My PCR is more fun to shoot than ever. They don't have a video on a P-01 Omega or a -75 Omega either. Yet after the experience of working through the first one, today I ordered kits for both of those and a Skorpion. So, it can be done even for a first timer and the results will be really gratifying. Just be patient and don't be afraid to call and ask for help. During this process I spoke to several people at MCARBO and the experience was far better than a couple of well known firms that advertise addon's. FAR BETTER than other firms! This was my first trigger job, not my first modification. I highly recommend MCARBO online and face to face.
Overall, the springs worked as expected (I’ve done similar replacements on several other pistols). The Firing Pin Retaining Pin however, was defective (large chip broke off the roll pin). I called Customer Service and left a message and never received any kind of response. I ended up ordering a SOLID pin from CZ Custom for $6.00, replacement was simple and the pin is SOLID, not another roll pin. Superior part in my opinion. 3 stars because of the complete lack of response from Mcarbo regarding a replacement pin. Disappointing.
It took a bit longer to install than the video shows since I don't have the practice he obviously gets. But, it works G-R-E-A-T. This is my first time I upgraded factory components since I am naturally wary along those lines. Very pleased overall with MCarbo products and their personnel. Kudos guys,
After watching the video I decided not to install the trigger return spring or the sear spring as it looked like there were too many chances for things to go wrong during installation, and I am no gunsmith. But I did install the hammer spring, firing pin spring and firing pin block spring as those were pretty straight forward. I also put in the recoil spring and stainless recoil spring guide rod. It definitely improved the DA trigger pull and is well worth doing! Can't say I notice any recoil reduction with the recoil spring, but it might have.
Had no trouble swapping out the parts using the video, I'll see how it shoots soon but so far it looks and feels pretty good.
I ordered this kid because after the watching the install video which explained everything in detail the process seemed like it wouldn't be overly complicated and it would render the results I wanted for my P-01. Man I could not have imagined the diffrence it would make the trigger pull is so much lighter and it even feels smoother. I also liked that unlike others they include everything you need and don't try and milk you for every cent. Thanks you guys for your service and the amazing quality parts you guys are making.
Sanding and polishing made the largest difference, there were some atrocious tool marks underneath the trigger transfer bar. DIY TJ included reducing OD of hammer spring by jamming on a chopstick, chucking in a drill, wrapping in emery cloth, pinning under foot while spinning the drill. Also removed 2 coils. Total tear down after 500 dry fires, sanding 400-100-2000-polish on cotton wheel. After installing these springs, the SA represented the largest reduction, approx 2-2.5lbs with my poor measuring tech. Factory weight was 11 DA and 6 SA, 9 stages of grit. IMHO, kit totally worth $21.
Installed this spring kit in a military surplus trade-in pistol. What a difference! Trigger pull reduced by at least half if not more and smooth as glass! Installation was snap with the video.
I picked up the spring kit for my CZ75 P-01 decocker model. I did not attempt the sear spring, as I just don't have the dexterity required for such small parts. I replaced all of the other springs in the kit and for the most part the kit does as advertised in reducing trigger pull and keeping you on target. The only exception that I would make is the trigger reset spring is just too light. It will reset the trigger if you are cognizant about letting off the trigger after each shot. However, there is not enough force to push the weight of your finger forward and it will not reset if you don't practice letting off the trigger. This is not a problem if you install a short reset trigger, it's just not the best solution on the long factory trigger. Other than that, the softer hammer spring, the harder floating trigger pin and firing pin roll pin are great upgrades. As always, Mcarbo goes the extra mile in doing demo videos. Great service and products.
This is a must have for a CZ75 Compact. If you have the tools, a moderate degree of mechanical skill, and can follow the videos its super easy. Make sure to watch the video before you decide if you can do it yourself or have a pro do it. Either way, it made a big difference in my 75 Compact. The firearm is way more enjoyable to shoot now. Awesome product.
My CZ75B has a very heavy stock trigger pull. This kit works perfectly in smoothing the trigger pulling. The trigger spring install tool is a little too cheap and it broke during the installation, but I just use a cut toothpick and the results are great.
I REALY LIKE THE TRIGER ON MY CZ SP01 AFTER INSTALING THIS TRIGER SPRING KIT.
My first major install of a spring kit. Went incredibly smooth, no issues. The Trigger spring was a challenge as the metal covering was a bear to get back in…but the results were awesome. Well worth the money. About half reduction in double action and nice single action.
Easy to do. The video helped a lot. I went from an 8.1# DA pull to a 6.1# DA and a 4.5# SA to a 2.5 SA# pull . Overall I'm very pleased with the product. The spring set is worth every penny. There were plenty of follow ups asking if I had received the product and offering to help locate it if it was lost in the mail or just send a new order. A veteran owned business that will receive more business from me and praise to others.
Just installed the kit to my CZ75 compact & Sp01 and it was really easy with the help of the videos supplied by MCARBO. I have a third kit coming for my CZ75B. The install for my compact CZ was really easy & the kit for my SP01 was too but it took a little more time for install. I have not been to the range yet but i feel a huge difference in trigger pull.
My spring kit for my CZ 75 compact arrived and I installed it the next day. I watched the entire installation video before starting and followed the video step by step. Some things were a little more difficult than the video and some were far easier. All in all, I installed the entire kit in about the same time as it took to watch the video. The trigger weights on my gun were different than the example in the video but the results were very satisfying. SA is now down from >5 lbs. to a very nice 3.5 lbs. DA at half-cock is now ~6 lbs. Really happy with the results.
