Well built. Easy installation.
Nice piece of hardware, and well made! Installation was easy after watching the video. I bought a Sig Romeo 5, from Amazon. They had the best price available at the time. The optic arrived within a day or so of the mount. The M*Carbo installation could be imroved if the comment about mounting the optic "directly" to the mount was re-worded to say, to use the shorter "pan cake" mount which, was extra in the box with the optic, but not installed versus a higher taller mount. SO, in my case disassembly of the Sig Optic mount, and re-install of the shorter mount. After that all well. My rifle is a Gen 2, and had the plastic rear sight in place. I looked around on the M*Carbo web site and found a link for replacement of the rear sights, and used info therein to dis-assemble the "hinge" point (the two screws from the left and right side) of the gun, and then remove the stock plastic rear sight, which was in the way when attempting use of the new optic. I may replace the rear stock plastic sight, with one of the improved M*Carbo rear sights as a back up, just in case something goes side ways with the Optics, requiring "going old school".

This solution for mounting optics on the Sub 2000 is very effective. - Utilizing a Holosun - HS403C Solar Power Micro Red Dot Sight, the weapon is able to maintain a zero even after repeatedly using the flip function of the mount and stowing away the rifle. - Installation is very easy. The kit comes with a shim kit (to fix any issues with the mount listing to far to one side). For this particular installation it was not necessary, however it was very nice to know this came with the kit in the event that there were issues with the mount. - Extreme improvement over the factory iron sights.
Screw length was different on two gen2's, obviously outside MCARBOs control, but they were spot on for customer service, sent new set of longer screws, second one fit like a glove right out of the package. Quality product, could not be more happy, this IS the mount you are looking for.

I absolutely love my new optic mount paired with my Romeo 5. Holds zero every single time. I also like how seamlessly you can switch to iron sights. Was a bit concerned about being able to stow my S2K with optic mount in my Tactical Gallen pack, but it fits with zero issue! Superb quality, well worth the money. Cant wait to see what M*CARBO comes up with next for the S2K. Because I will be buying it..
