Love this thing bad as!
I installed this on my sub-2000 40 cal and it mounts easy and seems to hold the optic verry well. would I buy it again yes. I just picked up the sub-2000 9mm
Received my new mount in about a week and installed with help from Chris’ video. Looks great, works great. Put a Romeo 5 on it and couldn’t be happier. Thanks Mcarbo!
Over the last 8 months I have endeavored to make my Gen II Sub 2000 the kind of weapon it should have been from the factory. Thanks to MCARBO, that has come true. I have a installed the following upgrades: Pro Performance Trigger Job, Hammer Bushing, Recoil Buffer, Muzzle Brake, Tub Cover, Folding Sight and the new Optic mount for my Primary Arms Red Dot. I came back from the range today after firing several hundred rounds. It is like I have a new weapon. What a difference all these upgrades made in this firearm. In particular, the hammer and trigger springs. Going from about 10lbs to about 4 was more than I thought possible with this firearm. Lastly, I had the Mid-west optic mount on this gun for about a year. I never got true and steady accuracy with it. Although the M-Locks worked ok to lock in the mount, there was always some slight movement in the sight that was very annoying. The MCARBO mount is solid, mounted hard to the frame forearm. This made for a rock solid installation, and it showed in the accuracy I got at the range. Thanks to the MCARB Brotherhood, I have the firearm I original wanted when I purchased it.
Offsetting low reviews for no reason. I was able to purchase at the introductory price, but would've paid full price to attach to my MCARBO Sub2000. Still waiting on this accessory to arrive, but this is the last piece to make a perfect pistol caliber carbine.
This is so simple to install. I will be putting a Sig Sauer optic laser sight on it. It still lets the gun fold with out any interference.
install was easy..works like a champ..wish I would have done this long ago
It couldn't have been easier to install, locks up tight, holds zero, very solid, does not affect balance of the gun, can co-witness (with the higher rear sight). Release button requires very firm pressure, initially thought it would be better if it required a lighter touch but then I realized it would be easier to accidentally release as well. One suggestion would be to think about how to make the profile slimmer when deployed - the way it sticks out like a triangle makes it tougher to stow rifles side by side in the safe.
Performs as it says it will!!! Well worth the purchase
I love that I can use a red dot with this gun, by using this mount. However, the new problem I have is transporting the rifle now. Instead of having the ability to fit this rifle into lay flat in my bag, I now need to reconfigure how I store everything in my bag because the optic mount sticks out to the side. I love how it shoots, but now the transportability has taken a big hit. If I would have known this, I might have taken the $150 and put it into something else...heck the $800 total spent on this rifle might have gone to a different rifle. I'm going to look to see if there are better solutions for using a red dot, but not have it stick out so far when it is stored.
Have not installed it yet, but absolutely love the design. I will update my review once I install it.
If you are seeking the lowest profile red dot optic mounting solution, and you have the OEM stock Polymer peep sites, then this post is for you. I utilize a Vortex Sparc with the lowest profile included mount. This red dot optic is superior to the Sig Romeo in terms of glass quality, lite emission, warranty, and height. Another alternative that I tested is a Bushnell TRS 25 which offers the same compact low profile approach as the Vortex Sparc, but at a much lower cost point. The Sig Romeo is high profile solution as it is made for cowitness on AR15 iron sites.
I recently bought this optic mount very good product sturdy high quality
This company is all about a positive customer experience. The products are engineered and tested to not fail. M*Carbo is the only place for your S2K!!!
I have the Keltec Sub 2000 9mm. I really liked the carbine but found the standard sights to be difficult to use. I also didn’t like the one finger racking knob to be difficult. I bought the Mcarbo sight platform and mounted a red dot sight problem solved. Works great now I bought the extended racking knob and that solved that problem. The parts fit great, installation easy. Looks like they came with the gun. Happy customer.
I was very satisfied when installing the optic mount. Kept on folding and assembling the sub 2k over and over again, and it never gots old. The site was perfect and the portability is amazing.
