Put the hammer spring in a 1970's Glenfield 60. It helped, but not the reduction that I was hoping for. I don't have a trigger pull gauge, maybe I'll get one just to check this out. The website says "3.75 lbs +/- 1 lb"... I think I ended up with 4.75 lbs.
Shipping was Fast! I just installed my MCARBO trigger kit, easy as could be!! It takes a bit of patience putting the c-clips back on but I now have a nice clean breaking trigger with very little creep. I highly recommend this kit for anyone with a 60.
With the help of everything of the spring kit I was able to modify the old style Marlin action to the new . It worked OUTSTANDING . I am convinced the old glenfield can compete with all my buddies $1000+ 10/22 rugers . I do suggest watching the videos for tips installing the parts . World class group of guys at mcarbo
Spring kit reduced pull from 6.75# to 5.75#. Was hoping for more. Instruction video excellent, service and shipping excellent.
I ordered my trigger kit on Friday at lunch and got it in the mail the following Monday when I got home from work very happy with the feel of the trigger after the simple installation only about 15 minutes after I watched the video from mcarbo and they also have great customer service couldn't be happier.
There were 2 videos, and in one the instructions for the disconnector spring were not very clear. As a result, I could not get the trigger to operate at all the five 4 times I disassembled and reassembled. Took hours to finally find the 2nd video and assembly the disconnector spring in a way that it operates properly. Really not a good design by Marlin for this spring, but in any case it seems maybe you could just avoid changing that one so you avoid this complexity.
I put this spring kit in an old Marlin/Glenfield model 60 that had a terrible trigger pull,10+ #,after installing and checking several time,the average trigger pull was 3.3#
My old marlin was having a problem with the trigger reset. I found this kit after doing some searching on the net. Being the gun was that old, I decided that I may need to replace all the internal springs. Boy’ am I glad I did, this gun now works even better than it ever has. The trigger pull is almost non existent. I highly recommend this product and will be ordering from M Carbo in the future.
Found a Marln 75c at the LGS. Must have been an estate they bought(other goodies too, Winchester 43s and 54s, couple of 99m1s), so it came home...eventually..will NOT go into rant about idiot gun laws in WA state. Popped it open to install the spring kit and new recoil spring, WOW, it was pristine and stock was unmarked; i'm a happy camper! Used DIP trigger and it now has the best action of my tube semis. Thanks guys and gals!! 4 stars cause I don't want you getting a swelled head, but delivery, product and the install vids are plus 1
So my dad asked me to look at his model 60, which is never a good thing! He said there was an issue with it firing properly. I shot it once, next round would get caught in the feed throat and get crushed by the action going forward. So I looked at everything, it needed some loving, so I ordered the new feed throat, ejector spring and while I was at I ordered the MCARBO model 60 spring kit. Installation was a breeze, except for the hammer spring (2 person job, thanks mom!), but that wasn’t anything major. The disconnector spring did present an issue, measure and bend it prior to installation to make it easier. After I got all of the new parts on, I brought his gun out to the property, loaded 17 rounds in the tube, and started pulling until the bolt stayed open! The trigger was very crisp and light, cycled through with no issues. The gun never shot this good, even brand new some 25 years ago! Thank you for the great kit! And hopefully another 25 years on this rifle!
Installation was easy enough thanks to the step by step videos available on YouTube. My trigger now breaks consistently at about 3 lbs. Worth every penny.

Parts went in with a little help from the video. My rifle is 45+ years old so there was a good bit of difference but nothing that a little experience could not overcome.
