Easy to install following the video and had no issues. Parts fit well with no real issues. When I took it to the range, I had a number of misfires which may be the trigger spring but could also be the ammunition. Will take it to the range again with CCI ammo and will know if it was the trigger spring or ammo. Remington ammo is dirty and that may have caused some issues and CCI is a little cleaner. Easy install, good results..
I really like this kit and with the MCARBO installation video made installation a breeze. I will definitely tell friends and relatives that have an old 60 to get this kit
I have an old Marlin model 60 I use for plinking. The trigger was rough and heavy. I bought the trigger and changed the springs out. My results were impressive! The trigger pull was around 5 1/2 lbs. After installing the springs my trigger pull is now 3 lbs. and smooth.
As a repeat customer I am impressed with continued effort by Chris to not only produce outstanding products, but also his efforts to educate his customers via videos. This is truly an outstanding company.
I purchased a used 60 at the pawn shop for a project. I bough every spring Mcarbo has. The video linked was spot on and everything came together perfectly. CONFIRMED at the range that the gun now functions perfectly. All springs were firm and clearly an upgrade from the worn out old old ones. Thank you!
My Marlin 60 had a very heavy 7 pound trigger pull, and this spring kit reduced it to 5 pounds. 5 pounds may still sound heavy to some people but it is MUCH improved over seven pounds, nearly a 30% reduction. I can manage this much, much better! I’ll use this kit in some of my other model 60’s.
I ordered this kit on a Sunday and it was delivered on Wednesday. Fast delivery. Quality product that was easy to install. Brought an older Marlin model 60 back to life with a lighter and smoother pull. I did order an aluminum trigger guard from another company as my plastic guard was cracked. If M Carbo had one I would have ordered that from them also. Glad to be with the brotherhood.
I received the trigger and spring kit promptly and installed it successfully. I watched the tutorial videos several times before the installation and they were a great help. I put a drop of Loctite on the trigger adjustment screw to keep it from wandering. It greatly improved the feel of the trigger. I will be using the rifle at an Appleseed weekend event and I expect that this will be a beneficial modification.
I don't have a trigger scale, but trigger feels much better after installing the spring kit and target trigger. At the range, the number of flier rounds I shot went way down. Groups were more consistent and I shot some one hole groups at 30 yards first outing. My model 60 was hard to shoot accurately with the stock trigger. Not too difficult to install yourself.
It helped. Noticeable better.
I’ve had this old Marlin 60 for years. When my son went to clean it unsupervised he lost the disconnect spring. It sat in the gun rack for years until I found the kit on M*Carbo and ordered it. The trigger pull was 4.2 lbs before the installation, after 2.1 lbs. Now it’s ready for another generation to enjoy!
I was really impressed at how simple this kit was to install! It really improved the trigger of my girlfriends model 60. Its by no means "match" or anything but for $30 and a little time its well worth it!!! Great product!!
Just tried out my new trigger and could'nt be happier, feels like a different gun. Thanks guys you're a first class group of guys.
The installation of this trigger kit made a huge difference in trigger pull weight. About 50% less at a guess. My order went missing due to USPS. MCARBO notified me that they'd noticed that my order hadn't arrived and promptly sent me a duplicate order. The MCARBO people are outstanding to deal with. Good old fashioned integrity and service, you can't get better.
This reduced trigger pull kit was an easy install and performed just as discribed. The trigger is a much smoother pull and reduced the pull on my riffle from 5.75 to 3.5 pounds.
